Vector path tool question

Is it possible to do an irregular shape with multiple vectors lines and then fill this shape with the color? I tried with a shape like a box but with curves and straight lines, but it will not filled correctly. I bring together multiple lines, but curved lines meet independently. I know there must be a way to do this, but can not understand. I tried different things with combination/change of track, but in vain. If there is a way to fill this shape with the color as a single object, the effects can be used as bevelling/stamping on this form? Any help would be greatly appreciated.

With the help of this forum, I was able to finish my task of creating an irregular shape with the pen tool, by closing the path and this form of filling with color. The mistake I made did not close the path. I thought that the join or union was going to close the path. Once I have zoomed in to 800% and looked at the beginning / the end of my lines and connected by double clicking, it's the thing to my way of closure. Once again, thank you for the support!

  • How can I create a vector path around an image border?

I've attached a screenshot of an image created in Photoshop CS4 with a wacom. It shows a gray line border around the whole image that was created with edit/stroke, and then color and width of the selected outline.

What I want to do is to put that image in Illustrator CS4 and create a vector boundary road aroun d the image like the stroke limit in Photoshop. But I do not know how thatx except by manually with the pen tool.

Anyone know if it is possible to create a vector path around the image in the same way that I created the line of race around the image in Photoshop?

If you already have the path traced in photoshop, go to file-> export-> tracks to Illustrator..., then choose the desired path and export. Open the file in Illustrator, then get the path.

  • circle continues to change color when I use the type on the path tool

I made two circles and I want to have written them, where is the black. but when I click and use the type on a path tool, it transforms the inner circle in black. I want the Red inner circle to stay, while the outer circle remains black. I had problems with this. I tried to adjust the background/outline, but nothing seems to work. Help, please.

Here are two images - the first is what it looks like at first, while the second is what happens when I use the type on the paths tool:

    adobe 1.JPG

    adobe 2.JPG

The use of this circle of text on a path makes a text path, which may not have a fill. Add a third circle and use it for the path of your text.

  • Photoshop CS6 vector line tool UI issues

I'm running 13.0.1 right now and am blocked by the tool of UX line. The problem is that even if you feel that you draw a line, you actually draw a box.

    Follow these steps 13.0.1 running x 64:

    1. Create a new doc
    2. Select the vector line tool
    3. Type in a width of line (for example: 20px)
    4. Draw your line
    5. Note that the line is always weight of 1px.

Of course, after much fiddling around you realize you have to set the FILL of your race, color, NO line, then specify the WEIGHT on the far right of the control bar.

This is not really the right UX to draw lines, especially if you come any other vector drawing environment.

Pen tool will draw lines with adjustable race. Shape mode, the value none Fill tool, set the stroke alignment to centered in the menu drop-down shown. Click on the points without slipping, if not a curve will be created. Hold the SHIFT key to constrain the horizontal/vertical. Press ESC or enter or select another tool to end a line. Properties stroke remains editable as long as the shape layer is not rasterized.

  • I need help using the target path tool

    Hi all

I realize that I need to keep all my code in the main storyline, so now I need serious help with targeting movieclips and buttons, when I use the target path tool (the viewfinder in the action script Panel) it allows me to navigate to the thing I want, but when I use his suggestion it very often does not work , and I find myself using trial and error to get by.  ICAN get stuff to work, but I really have no idea why or how I do it, sorry to be a N00B, but I really think that if I can work that I get somwhere.

    See you soon

OK, this is essentially what I did, but its been a bit hit and Miss, but maybe now, I can't see why, your last sentence

of course, all of these objects have which existed at the time your code runs.

So if I'm making refers to something within a mc and it does not exist on the first image, there will be an error?

    exactly.

also, what is this.  Object() and Object (parent)?

I have to be the use of these?

not when using the code on the main timeline.  "This" refers to the current scope, which is for the code in the main storyline, the main timeline.  What follows is the same:

    This.MC and mc

    This.var1 and var1

And again, I want to know why the target tool gives me a path that does not work?

I can't tell you much about the tool to the target.  I never used it.  but I tried to test this afternoon and it seems to work fine to target a nested movieclip.  again, you must ensure that this object exists when your code runs so if you're targeting something on the frame 2 (or more) of a movieclip using the code on frame 1 of the main timeline, the reference may be correct, but the object does not exist when your code runs.  There are a number of ways to handle this, if this is your main problem.

  • Why I can't make a selection with my selection of the path tool?

While following a tutorial, now I am unable to make a selection of track.  I know how to select a path, have done it before, but now my selct path tool does not select a path.  Change settings or something else that I'm not aware of?  Any help would be appreciated.

There should not be any kind of changes of parameters which could trigger this kind of behavior. Every time the tool to stop functioning properly, you should try to reset things. Try to reset the tool first. With the path Selection tool selected, go to the top, tool Options bar click on the first box, which shows you the tool icon that you are currently using. In the drop-down menu that appears, click on the small arrow inside a circle button and select Reset Tool. If this does not work, try to re-create the application preferences by pressing Ctrl + Alt + Shift (Command + Option + shift) at the launch of Photoshop. You will be asked to delete the settings file, click Yes. This will reset a lot of Photoshop its default settings, so you can save some things.

  • Can I paint a vector path in Illustrator?

Hello, I use the latest version of Illustrator (do not know the number, it's from Adobe CC) and I am trying to create vector images black and white. I realize there is the tool "Pen" for the creation of paths, but it is quite difficult for me to use physically. Click on / / shoot, do 8 to 10 times on a curve is very painful. What I'm trying to do, is make a large decorative fonts logo which is hollow inside. In Photoshop, I'm able to do this quite easily, mainly because of the paint and clear brush, then I apply a stroke to give me the outline I want. I told myself I need to be a vector image well and that Photoshop will not allow him.

I tried google to find the answer (like the proposed forum) but I get images of vector paint cans or how to draw a can of paint.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Of course, just use the brush (B) tool instead of the pen tool.

  • Pen Settings tool question; Line drawing; Photoshop CC 2014.

Hello and thanks for your help.

I'm following a tutorial on the Art of the line.

I have to reach the (yellow) parameters highlighted in this image of the tutorial.

Here's how to look at my settings.

    http://i.imgur.com/VmDsh1b.PNG

Path operations and remove Auto are the only ones I can find.

The other two that I can't.

In addition, what do you think about these settings to the HQ line drawings? Would you recommend other parameters? Why?

    Thank you.

    Maybe this helps:

As you can see, these two are different versions of photoshop.

The tools are located in the toolbar on the left. the two pens are in the same group of pen and the others are in the Group of shapes. Press the button of the mouse on the icon in the toolbar on the left and wait a few seconds then the dialog box will appear. Any icon with a triangle in his corner has a selection of tools flyout.

For a beginner, I advise to use shapes instead of paths (except where they are required) for learning. As you will be less be discouraged when you try to change settings simple as its border or background. Forms and routes will give you a vector shape, it is a little easier to use, and the other is a true path instead of a mask. But both you will give a clean edge and are flexible.

  • As Illustrator vector pen tool or allows copy and paste from Adobe Illustrator.

In Muse design tools are very, very limited (can't even do the triangles).

Adding that a pen tool would allow the curved lines and be vector would speed up load time vs png or JPEG.

Please, please, please add a vector as Illustrator pen tool or allows copy and paste from Adobe Illustrator (vector lines keeping intact).

Yes... I know it's possible, but what I would like is the ability to simply copy and paste a curvy line (as say a wave vector) directly from Illustrator in Muse and keep a path editable vector with attributes like thinknesses different line and maybe even anchor that can still be moved.

Once the site is finished and designed, it must then only need to be transformed and optimized raster image/s (png or jpeg) to export (depending on the output (computer or Tablet). Apple's IWeb, used to have something like years ago, so I know it isn't an impossible coding exercise.

In addition, Flash (UGH) use flash and the most recent Adobe Edge animate not vector capabilities?

How can I capture multiple captures in a single file, using the Snipping Tool?

    Hi Luvminou,

It is not possible to capture several captures both. You can use the tool to capture the unique screenshot capture and save it and after that you will need to take another and then you can save it.

It is possible to keep together, but do not capture multiple captures both

  • How to put text on multiple sub-paths tool feather of Photoshop

I just have a good time doing all sorts of paths with the pen tool and split each in a subpath in controlling by clicking on subsequent to each of them. Everything looks good, but when I write the text on one of the paths, others disappear. I have every path with the pencil tool, but I need the actual paths are so I can tap on them.

Is it possible for me to do this? I'm just a fool and lack something completely obvious? I do not normally work with the text tool so I apologize.

They are always in the path palette. Maybe added to Photoshop only display text on path is currently.
