  • Connect Velleman card in LabVIEW

Hello, I'm Steve, I am new to LabVIEW, but I searched a lot of information before asking for help.

I think your best option would be to use the dll that comes with the jury. Don't know where you think you think you need to use C++ and the seller must prove the .h file.

  • Recording signal

    Hello

I'm new with LabVIEW. I need it for my project. I use the interface USB (k8055) card. I know it's not good to use it, but I have to use.

I don't have counter on this forum. I need to record a signal and transferee it to a file where I can look at the time at which the pulse is generated.

I have a sensor this sensor pulse send (k8055) USB interface card. I want to measure the time between each pulse and the duration of each pulse.

I have of course a timer. I found the timer on the forum, but I does not work with what I'm building.

As I mention, I'm new in LabVIEW. I use LabVIEW 2010

    Hello Nadjil,

    Thanks for the additional information!

    Below some comments from me:

    (1) in the context of acquisition VI now read you the data and save them in a file (in collaboration with "time information")

Time you get currently comes from the VI of number of cycles and won't give you information on when the DLL was called.
This can give you indeed information on when the acquisition is made, but it will never quite add up.
You might be able to make it a little more accurate with both the call to the function 'ReadAllAnalog' of the dll and the call of the VI of number of cycles in the same flat Structure of the sequence. This way you could maybe get a little more specific information when the DLL is called.

However, it still won't be exactly at the time the effective acquisition is made on the Board from velleman.

    (2) when you talk about "the counter" what should I say exactly?
Are you talking about the data produced by the number of cycles VI?
Essentially the information you can get from this are the relative difference between different calls to the function 'ReadAllAnalog' of the dll.
Simply subtract the first 'number of cycles' of the entire procedure ones.

    (3) it is still is not clear to me why you need to reopen the connection to your device in each iteration of your loop.

    (4) it is also not not clear to me why put you your waiting until the next multiple ms VI in a loop with 1 iteration for?

The reason for adding in this loop is also not clear to me. It's not be used anywhere, so it can be deleted.

  • purchase of a multimeter digital usb for labview

Hey guys, im a total newb to this program, but im already addicted.  I did a multimeter on a voltage regulator interface and the kit from velleman k8055.  but I think that id like better accuracy.  are there affordable digital multimeters with two entrances, this interface with labview via USB?

I thought it would be good to get some recommendations here.

    Take a look at...

    http://www.mccdaq.com/products/usb_products.asp

They do not have a stand alone DMM but it may be something you can use way less than $1300 NOR wants to their DMM unit.  I'm under a lot of equipment with excellent results!  ... MCC is a subsidiary of OR, if this is useful.  :-)

  • help with call library function node

I have problem with node function call library that I try to use velleman k8061 dll file to get this working labview

all I'm trying to get the same problem

but I chose one to explain it

    SetDigitalChannel
    Syntax
    PROCEDURE SetDigitalChannel (CardAddress: Longint;) Channel: Longint);
    Parameters
CardAddress: The address of the previously opened card.
Channel: Value between 1 and 8, which corresponds to the output channel to be resolved.
    Description
The selected digital output channel is activated.
    Example of
    BEGIN
    SetDigitalChannel (0, 1);

now, when I try to call the function of library in k8061.dll node and set up 2 a card address and one for the channel

address of card type: type numeric & statistics: signed 32 bit intger

channel type: numeric type & data: signed 32 bit intger

    function prototype

    void setdigitalchannel (int32_t, intg32_t channel address);

I also configure error call library function node checking up

now that I run it, I get error 1517 produced and tell me this mismatch between the calling conventions?

    problem solved

    thanx

  • Capacitor Tester

    Hello world

I am new to labview and was hoping if someone could help with a fundamental question.

I have to do a program that checks the capacitors, the program uses a Velleman K8055 or VM110N card.

I try to give is short and simple:

    -Time measure.

-Send 5 volts (255) to the card (which has a resistance and a capacitor wired to it)

-measure the time it takes to get over 63% (it comes to Tau 1)

-load an other tau 5 up to this as fully charged.

the program also for discharge, measure the time etc still once, calculate again the tau, unloads another 5 tau, rinse and repeat, with the data, you can calculate the capacity of the capacitor and give approval or disapproval by a led lighting up and finally save in an excel document.

but now I would like it just loads, measuring time up to 63%, whereas I would have 1 Tau, (and then, load 5XTau.)

The rest I should be able to handle.

even if you don't have that card velleman, I hope you can give a few comments that I was wrong, I've set up enough basic, remember I'm just a beginner, things in order dish is mine, the rest has been set up already, I've been at this for centuries (really, I'm too embarrassed say yet how long) , I'm sure it's quite simple, but if someone could just give me a hint or two.

I hope someone can help me, thank you very much in advance!

(ps I posted this elsewhere, but I thought it was a better place for my question, even though this thread is very old)

  • Error message when you try to connect a K8200 3D program to a K8200 3D printer.

Site of the Lim has been no help.  Manage the msg of error complains of "no com4/com/port". "No serial port not defined" or words to that effect.  The program has connected previously but had other issues.

    Any suggestion would be appreciated.

    Edokus

This seems to be a problem with the software that you use with your printer and not a Windows problem.

Unfortunately, neither the manufacturer of the printer, Velleman, nor the manufacturer of software, Repetier, seems to have good management.  They both rely mainly on forums that are not particularly active.

    K8200 forums: http://forum.velleman.eu/viewforum.php?f=45

    Repetier forum: http://forum.repetier.com/categories/repetier-host

    RepRap forum: http://forums.reprap.org/list.php?267

As near as I can make, your error message refers to a problem with the connection between your computer and the printer.  As explained in the online manual for the K8200, when you install the driver required a "USB serial port" named COMxx must have been created.  See http://www.k8200.eu/manual/printing/?c=002

The next step is to install the Repetier-host software.  Interestingly, K8200 online manual says to install the version 0.84 of the software because it is good enough, and "we are working on compatibility of newer versions."  Unfortunately, this old version is no longer available directly from Repetier.  The current version is 1.6.2 and earlier versions 1.5.6 1.0.6 and 0.95F are available.  A post on the K8200 forum suggests that 0.95F works and provides a link from the k8200 site (the same link is on the main page of downloads K8200 (http://www.k8200.eu/support/downloads/).  See http://forum.velleman.eu/viewtopic.php?f=50&t=17955

Assuming you have version 0.84 or 0.95F of the Repetier-Host is installed, you should start, go to "Printer settings" and Configure the software to use the "USB serial port" with the number created by installing driver.

Screenshots which describes the process above are to the K8200 man page link above.

If you've done all this correctly and still having the problem, I suggest you search/post on the K8200 forum: http://forum.velleman.eu/viewforum.php?f=49
