Hello and welcome to the community!

I suggest the following, in order, even if they seem redundant to what you have already tried (steps 1 and 2, each should result in a message to your BB to come...) Please wait for this before moving on to the next step):

    (1) registry HRT

    • KB00510 How to register a BlackBerry smartphone with wireless network

    (2) Service reference books

    • KB02830 Send the directories for the BlackBerry Internet Service

    (3) restart to take batt

    • Each time a random strange behavior or slow creeps, the first thing to do is a battery pop reboot. With power ON, remove the hood back and remove the battery. Wait a minute, then replace the battery and cover. Power on and wait patiently through the long reboot - about 5 minutes. See if things return to functioning. Like all computing devices, BB suffers from memory leaks and others... with a hard reboot is the best remedy.

I hope that will move things again for you!

  • Untintalling version 6.0 blackBerry smartphones

I liked the old version of the blackberry how unstall the 6.0 and go back to the old version, any help would be appreciated.

Hi and welcome to the Forums!

    An old saying...

    • The best device for anyone is that they become the most used for

I could dare guess that if you give yourself time, you could grow to love it.

But, if you insist, then from a PC, you can install any bundle of BONES to a BB via this procedure:

Note that although written for "reload", it can be used to upgrade, downgrade, or recharge - it depends on the OS package you download and install on your PC. You can even use a different OS package carriers simply insert, between steps 1 and 2, the deletion, on your PC, a file named PROVIDER. XML. remember that you remove from your PC, no matter what other packages devices OS BB as having more than one installed on the PC can cause conflicts with this procedure.

If you are on a MAC, you are limited to only your sanctioned carriers OS packages... but can still use any level they currently have to sanction. See this procedure:

  • Versions 2 BB blackBerry Smartphones is installed - could they conflict?

I have 2 versions of BB's installed - in Control Panel | Programs and features, they show that: "BlackBerry Desktop Software 7.1" - 7.1.0.37 and "BlackBerry Device Software for the smartphone BlackBerry 9320 V7.1.0" version - version 7.1.0.746 (Platform 9.49.77).

These would be contradictory.  Should I uninstall the previous version?  Thanks for your help.

    Hello 34woody

The two are different software, one for BlackBerry Desktop Software and the other is a software for your device.

BlackBerry Device Software for the smartphone BlackBerry 9320 : v7.1.0 is your Device OS (Operating System)

BlackBerry Desktop Software 7.1 : is the BlackBerry Desktop Software version 7.1

So no need to remove those from your PC, they won't cause conflict

I tried several battery pulls and soft reboots and even an upgrade to a later version of Blackberry Messenger.

If anyone has any idea how to cure this and is willing to share with me, I'll be your friend for life.

    Kind regards

    Jonathan

PS The forum parser seems to have played with my text before allowing me to submit - so hopefully that data are still valid...

you have a lot of contacts?
If I were you, I would like to use the Desktop Manager to back up the database of BB Messenger.
    then restore it.

see if the problem persists. If so, then you can erase this data base (then you can invite all your contacts again).

  • Uninstall Blackberry Messenger blackBerry Smartphones

How to uninstall blackberry messenger?  It won't uninstall the usual ways and a bunch of methods I google does not work either.

How have you tried to uninstall?

The only way to do it is to go into your Options icon, then device > application management.  Access BlackBerry Messenger, select it, and then press delete.

Your device will require a restart, but which should probably uninstall it.

  • Icons on Blackberry Messenger blackBerry Smartphones face

Can you tell me the meaning of all the little faces when you use Blackberry Messenger?  User's guides do not list them so it is hit and Miss as to what they mean (authors of the user guides, take note).  Especially need to know the face with the sound waves coming out of it.

Hey jzkitty, the face with the soundwaves means that the contact is inaccessible. If there is a clock which means that they are far (if the memories are good) and I don't remember that for unavailable... He's a kind of sign of style do not fall on the face. And of course avaible just sits there grinning like village * beep *.

Hope that helps and anyone else who reads the thread.
