VFR remote access of consciousness - 433-reason: (reason unspecified peer)
Hello
I get this error if I connected to the Cisco IOS router (Version 15.1 (4) M3) with Cisco VPN Client (5.0.07.0410):
Secure VPN connection terminated by a peer.
433 reason: (reason unspecified peer)
Debugging is in the attachment. I can find no reason for that behavior.

Hi Pavel,
My personal (and not justified at this time) view, is that your configuration is not correctly referring to the VRF. With IPsec VPN, you must distinguish between two VRF:
- Door VRF VRF, or simply in the VRF the external interface that connects to your router at the ISP
- Internal VRF which is the VRF of internal networks you want to access it through the IPsec tunnel
Your current configuration doesn't seem to distinguish between these two VRF well and has some problems:
- Gi0/1 obviously used to access the ISP interface is placed in the public VRF, yet the virtual-Template1 is not associated with this VRF as its FVRF (the tunnel vrf command is missing)
- The private VRF does not seem to be used in all, nor of any other interface in the same VRF
You can try changing your configuration virtual-Template1 as follows?
type of interface virtual-Template1 tunnel
IP vrf forwarding private! It's the IVRF
IP unnumbered GigabitEthernet0/1
ipv4 ipsec tunnel mode
tunnel vrf public! It's the FVRF
Profile of ipsec protection tunnel 1
This seems to have worked with me during the replication of your configuration in Dynagen using a 2691 as an EzVPN client. Without the tunnel vrf, he couldn't logically worked - tunnel endpoints have been associated with the global routing table while in reality, they are accessible only by the public VRF (thanks to Gi0/1 places in this FVRF).
Of course, adapt the IVRF on the interface virtual-Template1 as appropriate.
You may be interested to read more about FVRF/IVRF in this document:
Please keep us informed. Thank you!
Best regards
Peter

Problem with remote access in a residential group
Having a problem with desktop sharing remote within a group of home access. I don't have problem of access to the desktop from the laptop, but for some reason I can't access the laptop from the desktop. I tried everything I could think of. Remote access is enabled on both PCs. Help, please. Thank you very much!
Hello
1. who is the operating system installed on the desktop and laptop computers?
2. what happens when you try to access the laptop from the desktop? You receive an error message?
3. What are troubleshooting you performed?
I suggest you follow these methods and check.
In a first step of troubleshooting, I suggest to run the troubleshooter to group on the source and the destination computer.

Hi all
I read the http://www.cisco.com/en/US/docs/security/asa/asa80/getting_started/asa5505/quick/guide/rem_acc.html and following the steps to create a remote access VPN. At the end of this post is delivered to the FW config.
I test the connection on a Cisco VPN Client for Windows Remote with plans on the migration of the profile to my Linux laptop. What I see is an error message when you run 'debug cryptop isa 129' of
Dec 09 10:10:03 [IKEv1]: Group = DefaultRAGroup, IP = 83.109.134.21, Removing peer to peer table does not, no match!
Dec 09 10:10:03 [IKEv1]: Group = DefaultRAGroup, IP = 83.109.134.21, error: cannot delete PeerTblEntryWhat seems strange to me, is that I have a group policy and a configured connection IPSec 'RemoteHome' profile, but it is not referenced in the debug output. I searched through my config for DefaultRAGroup, but nothing helped. However I found it in the ASDM under IPSec connection profiles.
I configured the FW to use LOCAL authentication and have configured the VPN Client with the right user name and password.
So, basically, I'm at a loss on how to correct my mistake. Any help much appreciated.
After the config FW is the power output of debug crypto isa 129.
See you soon,.

In the vpn client, you must enter the name of the group, RemoteHome and pre shared key, NOT your username. You will be asked your username after login.
As the name conor group does not exist, it is failing in the DefaultRAGroup

A Site to remote access VPN behind the same public IP address
Got a problem quite stupid. We have a VPN from Site to Site configured for a new data center, which will be responsible for general traffic management. In addition, some users need to use use a VPN client to access certain areas. The firewall at the Office only has a public IP address, so the two will come to the Site to Site VPN for remote access from the same source.
This seems a problem with legacy Cisco VPN clients because encryption card matches the entry VPN site-to-site, even if they use VPN clients. A good/simple solution to solve this problem?
Some newspapers (198.18.85.23) is the address public IP for the office and the tom.jones is the user. 192.168.1.0/24 is the pool of the VPN client.

Hello
Don't know if this will work, but you can try the following configuration (with the rest of the VPN configuration)
list-access CLIENT VPN ip enable any 192.168.1.0 255.255.255.0
card crypto OUTSIDE_map 4 is the VPN CLIENT address
card crypto OUTSIDE_map 4 set peer 198.18.85.23
card crypto OUTSIDE_map 4 set ikev1 transform-set ESP-AES-128-SHA ESP-3DES-SHA
The idea would be to have the ACL matches the VPN full Tunnel that the Client attempts to establish. (destination "any" from the point of view of the customer, the ASAs view source)
I tested briefly on my own SAA by connecting from an IP address to which the ASA offers free VPN in L2L. But as I don't have the operational L2L VPN, I can't really verify the VPN L2L at the moment. Thus, certain risks may be involved if you can afford it.

Hello
Well, you can of course turn VPN on other interfaces, but to be honest, I never even tried to set up the VPN it otherwise than of multiple multiple external interfaces in the case of the ISP and in this case only for testing purposes.
Some things related to the ASA are well known but not well documented.
The official document that I can remember: this is the following (which only refers to this limitation regarding the ICMP)
Note
For security purposes the security appliance does not support far-end interface ping, that is pinging the IP address of the outside interface from the inside network.

Problems with remote access IPSec VPN
Dear Experts,
Kindly help me with this problem of access VPN remotely.
I have configured remote access VPN IPSec using the wizard. The remote client connects to fine enough seat, gets the defined IP address, sends the packets and bytes, BUT do not receive all the bytes or decrypt packets. On the contrary, the meter to guard discarded rising.
What could be possibly responsible or what another configuration to do on the SAA for the connection to be fully functional?
It can help to say that Anyconnect VPN is configured on the same external Interface on the ASA, and it is still functional. What is the reason?
AnyConnect VPN is used by staff for remote access.
Kindly help.
Thank you.
Hello
So if I understand correctly, you have such an interface for LAN and WAN and, naturally, the destination networks you want to reach via the VPN Client connection are all located behind the LAN interface.
In this case the NAT0 configuration with your software most recent could look like this
object-group, LAN-NETWORKS-VPN network
network-object
network-object
network-object
network of the VPN-POOL object
subnet
destination of LAN-NETWORKS-VPN VPN-NETWORKS-LAN static NAT (LAN, WAN) 1 static source VPN-VPN-POOL
Naturally, the naming of interfaces and objects might be different. In this case its just meant to illustrate the purpose of the object or interface.
Naturally I'm not sure if the NAT0 configuration is the problem if I can't really say anything for some that I can't see the configuration.
As for the other question,
I have not implemented an ASA to use 2 interfaces so WAN in production environments in the case usually has separate platforms for both or we may be hosting / providing service for them.
I imagine that there are ways to do it, but the main problem is the routing. Essentially, we know that the VPN Client connections can come from virtually any public source IP address, and in this case we would need to default route pointing to the VPN interface since its not really convenient to set up separate routes for the IP address where the VPN Client connections would come from.
So if we consider that it should be the default route on the WEBSITE of the ASA link, we run to the problem that we can not have 2 default routes on the same active device at the same time.
Naturally, with the level of your software, you would be able to use the NAT to get the result you wanted.
In short, the requirements would be the following
- VPN interface has a default route, INTERNET interface has a default route to value at the address below
- NAT0 between LAN and VPN interface configuration to make sure that this traffic is passed between these interface without NAT
- Interfaces to special NAT configuration between LAN and INTERNET which would essentially transfer all traffic on the INTERNET interface (except for VPN traffic that we have handled in the previous step)
The above things would essentially allow the VPN interface have the default route that would mean that no matter what the VPN Client source IP address it should be able to communicate with the ASA.
The NAT0 configuration application would be to force ASA to pass this traffic between the LAN and VPN (pools) for VPN traffic.
The special configuration of NAT then match the traffic from LAN to ANY destination address and send to the INTERNET interface. Once this decision is made the traffic would follow the lower value default route on this interface.
I would say that this isn't really the ideal situation and the configuration to use in an environment of productin. It potentially creates a complex NAT configuration such that you use to manipulate the traffic instead of leave the mark of table routing choice in the first place.
Of course, there could be other options, but I have to test this configuration before I can say anything more for some.

Problem with remote access VPN on ASA 5505
I currently have a problem of an ASA 5505 configuration to connect via VPN remote access by using the Cisco VPN Client 5.0.07.0440 under Windows 8 Pro x 64. The VPN client will prompt you for the user name and password during the connection process, but fails soon after.

active monitoring of remote access vpn connections
Hi all
I use asa 5520, and asa 5540 for remote access vpn connections. Is it possible to active my vpn connections monitoring so that there would be alerts for vpn tunnels which fail to implement for other reasons other than the authentication of users? Pls advise. Thks in advance.
Kiwi Syslog will work fine - as long as you have a licensed version, a 'free' version does not support e-mail extras.
See the url below and search for "VPN", you will see what VPN syslog codes you can choose from.

This is my first post on this site. Hi all!
I have not really set up ASAs or VPN on Cisco devices before. Currently, I'm trying to configure a dial-up VPN between ASA devices, a 5505 and a 5510. The 5510 is supposed to be the server and the 5505 is supposed to be the easyvpn customer. The reason why I'm opting for remote access instead of site to site is that I much 5505 s on the remote I need to set up in the future, and they will be moving around a bit (I prefer not to have to follow the configs to site to site). The 5510 is not mobile. The ASA devices are able to ping to 8.8.8.8 as ping each other in the face of public IP address.
Neither SAA can ping IP private of other ASA (this part makes sense), and I am unable to SSH from a client on the side 5510 for internal interface (192) of the 5505. I wonder if someone more experienced in the remote VPN ASA than me is able to see something wrong with my setup? I glued sterilized configs of two ASAs below.
Thanks a lot for any assistance!

Homekit remote access does not
Hello.
I have a Schlage door sense block 100% functional when connected by bluetooth with my iphone (ios 10) either when I m with the sense or Homekit app it management.
The problem starts when I try to work remotely.
Yes:
(1) my 3rd generation Apple TV (Maj) is connected with the same iCloud account that I use in my other devices, including my iPhone
(2) Apple TV shows as 'connected' when I check my hub within the Homekit app status
(3) Apple TV is "always on."
(4) I tried to connect a disconnect in icloud again several times.
Need help please!
I chose this lock exclusively to access remote homekit.
Thank you!
It seems that the fault is in schlage's recent firmware update. They have posted the following on their web site about seven 18, 2016:
Some clients of Schlage sense suffered a loss of access remotely through the 3rd generation Apple TV after update of their lock to the version of the firmware 3.42.
We are aware of the problem and are working quickly to resolve.
In the meantime, you can learn more details about how to set up an Apple TV and iPad for remote access and automation of your Schlage lock and other accessories HomeKit.

My Mac has been hacked, abrupt configured mailboxes. Remote access?
Yesterday on my Mac a sudden notice appeared saying Exchange mail has been added. It was my old College e-mail although it should no longer be valid. Then a pop up says something invalid certificate and a person is faking d'[email protected]... Etc. Who is my former college. Then I tried to print something, and he says he can't trust my local printer and it took forever to print a document. Then 2 pop ups asking if I don't mind garguillo and other netbios to receive s of incoming connection, which I refused. I unplugged and changed the password of my iCloud. I don't have on the sharing options and I never configured this old email on my new Mac Pro retina. Is it possible, he had remote access? What could have happened? What are the main precautions to be safe on Apple devices? Can someone list them? I'm really worried. I have kaspersky from App Store download.
A
The first step and perhaps the only necessary one, is to get rid of your software "anti-virus". All these software are worse than useless on a Mac, and it may well be the cause of the problem, or make the problem worse.
Please remove "Kaspersky Security" by following the instructions on this page. If you have a different version of the product, the steps may be different. The product includes a Safari extension which may not be revoked by the uninstaller.
Back up all data before making any changes. Never install a software "anti-virus" or "anti-malware" again.
B
Verify that the date (including year) and the time indicated by your system clock is correct.

remote access MacMini... MOM help
Question: how to set up remote access to the computer of my mother, so that I can address any technical questions she has?
I have an iMac end 2013 with El Capitan 10.11.5.
My mother's computer is a mac mini upgraded to 8 MG of RAM and also with El Capitan (do not know if there were other updates since I was there last).
I would like to be able to connect to the remote computer in order to see its screen and be able to help in updates remotely.
I heard that El Capitan was the built-in ability, but I wanted to know how to put in place.
Thanks in advance for your help.

When trying to uninstall a program, I uninstalled inadvertently something else. Apparently has something to do with the sound icon. According to the constructor for the audio endpoint Microsoft.either audio, Windows or Windows does not work.
