VGA adapter

Hello world.  I want to buy HP Envy 700-210 computer, but I think he has only a DVI - D output.  How to connect the monitor to it?  I also have a HD TV with an hdmi port.  How to connect the computer to my TV to have a second screen?  I have another question - can I install another hard drive in the computer?  Any help in answering these question will be appreciated.  Thank you.  sister5091

  • Need VGA adapter for my old iMac G4/1.0 17 inches in 2003?

    Hello

Today my old iMac monitor stops working. I was in several stores to try to get a VDG adapter to connect a monitor separated instead. But it is impossible to find one for this older model. Any ideas anyone?

    The specifications are:

Apple iMac G4/1.0 specifications of 17 inches (flat screen)

    Identifiers: iMac 17 "1 GHz - M8935LL/A - PowerMac6, 1 - M6498 - 1956

    Thank you very much!

The "Mini VGA / VGA adapter" takes many forms. Do not forget

If you get through one in a page of online sales, the seller knows

the differences between the "MiniDisplayPort to VGA' and others.

The part you are looking for would probably be described as: Mini VGA / VGA.

While I have a stock of old like new, bought since a few years there

thrift store for $2. It works with my iBook 1.33GHz G4 12-inch

There is no part number visible on what I say. At the time, I have

also bought three others, same price, which were sealed in bags.

(These fellows had reference numbers;) I gave them, at the time.)

Beware also of MiniDVI-VGA adapters, because these can also or

is not appropriate in the similar-shaped video out port; DVI was not a

standard in the old PPC Macs, some PowerBook later + iMac G5

a establish better conditions later than the old PPC G4 iMac or iBook G3.

The same element that adapts iBook G4 mid-2005 or before should also

mount the USB2.0 iMac G4 15/17/20 inches. The adapter I have my

iMac G4 1.25 GHz 17-inch (USB2.0) port VGA Mini computer.

A glance through eBay shows a mixture of different parts and customers

show them that some sellers have sold more than one type via their

site; Some users could not use the one they bought, others might.

The Apple site does not seem to show any valid age

more information regarding these vintage/obsolete adapters.

In order to avoid some versions of Mini VGA MiniDisplayPort and MiniDVI

adapters; Some versions are at the correct time, but for PowerBook

G4 models and a few figures are different part numbers. The plug

may be formed to fit the plug, but it lacks the appropriate connectors.

Sorry to not be of a great help; I look to see if I could find an of the

old Mini VGA / VGA adapters, here; & only found a w/o part number.

A search shows almost everything except good vintage pieces.

The site welovemacs.com had a few elements but was not unclear on what made

specific models exactly; and their price seemed a bit steep. Another Mac

centered on the sites may be able to locate the vintage adapters. Can be used

available, then that can also be worn or unreliable.

This page may have some info on various 'news, in the old, obsolete: adapters

On Apple and cables - video cards Support Apple

    {None of these are good; so you can use this as an anti reference}

The person here specifies no iMac G4:

Maybe if the time was nowhere near 02:00 here, I have more chance to research...

  • How can I activate my effects aero on my standerd VGA adapter

    Please help me...

I just installed windows 7 Home premium (x 86) but I can't these glassy effects on my task bar on the start menu to please me
my name of devic is INTEL (R) 915 G, 915GV, 910GL, chip chart and the driver is ' STANDARD VGA ADAPTER '

According to this document , Intel, so that the Aero effects are available in Windows 7, the system must run at least 1 WDDM. However there are no drivers for the chipset 915G of the series which is limited to the XPDM driver.

That's why you can't run Aero on the 915G chipset which is old to ongoing support. At best, you might find an AGP card if a desktop computer that will do what you want.

  • NB550D - the male female HDMI VGA adapter

    Hello

I need to connect my Toshiba NB550D netbook to a VGA male cable (this is for projection on screen).
I thought I need a VGA female to HDMI male adapter. However, I'm unable to find.

All the world is facing this problem before?

All that I could find is a HDMI/DVI male female. I am considering buying a VGA female to male DVI (not easy to find either), but it sounds a bit heavy.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

    Hello

As I know you cannot connect VGA to HDMI using a simple adapter.
The VGA port provides analog signals and HDMI supports digital signals

AFAIK you can use these adapters if the HDMI device would be able to pass the digital signal to analog. But as far as I know is not possible on computers laptops HDMI ports.

So if you want to connect two ports then you will need to use something like a signal converter, but these pieces are not cheap.

As far as I know the laptop supports HDMI port, but also a RGB (video out) port.
So why you n t use this port to connect the projector?

  • DVI/VGA adapter.

I have a HP110-122el PC and I just bought what I thought, it was a VGA DVI adapter. The DVI adapter part again has 24 pins and a connector spade and 4 extra pins, 2 above and 2 below the pod. The socket on my tour takes the casings for these 4 additional points. Therefore, the adapter doesn't fit. Are there different types of DVI adapters or is my weird PC?

    HI Hookey,

Image (blur) below shows the types of DVI connectors.

Your description of your adapter indicates that your have a DVI - I dual-link adapter.  The socket on the PC's DVI - D (digital only). If your monitor is analog, then use a straight VGA cable without adapter. Your PC is not strange that most, if not all new HP PC are DVI - D (digital only).  You can see the specifications for the HP 110-122el here.

By your other post, your monitor specifications are here.

  • Standard recognized as VGA adapter graphics card

So I rebooted recently my phone leaving no records, then I installed readers that I could find and a player that remained was the graphical drive, I have an AMD Raedon 6480 and I coudnt find a dryer anywhere. Now when I go to the hardware Manager it has a small exclamation mark and the device is called adapter VGA Standard and does not say AMD Raedon 6480. If someone could help me to update and install the driver, would be great.

Go to this place in your browser:
Then click on the "search now" button as indicated in the screenshot I provided
Install plugins/software, you are prompted to install.
You may need to turn off any popup blockers enabled in your browser, you will need to do to "Detect my product" plugin/software HP work.
Heres how to disable pop-up blocking in Internet Explorer:
The plugin should then detect what exact model of laptop you have
How a Web page should appear indicating what model of laptop you have. It will look like this:
Click on the "Software and driver downloads" link next to the photo that shows a laptop:
On the next page, click the link that displays the operating system that is currently installed on your laptop
Finally click the "driver - Graphics" link and you will see the driver for your "AMD Raedon 6480" listed - download this driver and install.
At this point, I would install as any other drivers that you have detected that are obsolete (as well as your AMD Raedon 6480 video card driver) and restart the operating system
Please get back to me if this does not resolve the problem.

  • Screen with VGA adapter resolution problem

When I connect the MacBook Air 13 (2016 10.11.3 running) to an external monitor via DVI, everything works well: automatically selects the optimal resolution for the external monitor, plus I have other choices of resolution, and everything is good. But when I connect via VGA, I can choose resolution 800 x 600, which is not only not optimal: it's awful.

I get this same problem with 2 different VGA adapters and 2 different monitors, a 16:9 and the other 4:3. (16:9 screen spans 800 x 600, so it looks even worse.)

This problem does not occur on MacBook Pro 13 (2011 also runs 10.11.3): VGA and DVI work very well, with selected automatically optimal resolutions, plus I have other choices of resolution.

No idea how to fix this on the MacBook Air? Or is MacBook Air paralyzed by nature in this way?

    Thank you.

Finally called Apple Support. Has worked with junior counsel, trying all kinds of things that did not work. After an hour of this, he handed me a Counsellor, who took me to the preference of views and had me select the "chipped" resolution key to with hold option key. It gave me a wide range of resolutions that had not been previously available, including the resolution that has ended up working real well. Phew!

  • possibility to get a DVI - d output monitor input VGA adapter?

My p71126s just bought a 2 monitor DVI - D outputs. I need to enter a flat TV with a VGA input.

    Hello

You can by a converter.  Converters of higher prices do a better job with VGA, scaling than the cheaper models.

Another option is to buy a discrete video card that has the video ports that you need.  That would be my recommendation.

  • What is the correct VGA for mac Mini adapter?

Hello! My employer bought me a mac mini. I need to use it with my VGA monitor. Wrong, they ordered me a DVI HDMI cord.

I just need to check that this card will work for me. Looks like it is. I do not see DVI, but I see Thunderbolt 2 on my Mini, and apparently this cord can operate with Thunderbolt - VGA.

Chat feature was no help at all. He just sent me here. Any help is appreciated!
