vial of Shockwave accident

On the 8 - 9 times a day, I get the message 'shockwave flash fell down' and those sad little faces in the ad boxes.  It always restarts itself.

Is this a known problem with Windows 7?
Can it contribute to the and-market repeated my system freezes? (I have a thread on this, too).

The web page for the information of the page/guarantee of primary support for your system:
http://support.Dell.com/support/topics/global.aspx/support/my_systems_info/en/details?ServiceTag=DSH0RQ1/

If you look at the menu on the left and click on 'Drivers Home', it will take you to the web page where you can download the drivers for hardware devices on your computer.  I see you have a Vostro Notebook 3450.

In my view, it is more likely there a motherboard Intel chipset.  It is also quite possible, it has an Intel wireless card and there is an AMD/ATI or Intel video device.  SO I feel pretty confident saying that for one or more of these items, the Intel® driver update utility should be able to automatically tell you whether or not there is a pilot neewer and even to access the download.  Not 100% necessary - the drivers on the Dell "drivers & downloads: page for your system are in the last months ~ 4 in ages - is so those pretty new."

If you happen to have the AMD/ATI video device - you can choose to download the version of June on the Dell web page or you can visit the AMD/ATI website and use their application AMD driver Autodetect (download, install, run) to see if you can get a newer driver for your video card.  I would suggest their complete package.

Probably should hold off on any other related drivers at the moment.  Can same just report what happens when you do each of them instead of jumping in head first.  No need to do anything too still.

I'm sure you will do well.

  • 20.0.1 Firefox crashes when you access a web page of MyHeritage (possibly requires Shockwave)

I have a problem with Firefox 20.0.1 on Windows 7 with Shockwave flash plugin 11.7.700.169. When I access a website "MyHeritage" with a page that shows my family tree, I repeatedly receive a message "video driver has stopped working - NVIDIA driver... has successfully recovered. If I disable Shockwave, Firefox / video driver won't crash. BTW - run Firefox in SafeMode (disabled add-on) stopped my NVIDIA driver to crash. I had a second problem during playback of videos (for example. YouTube) where Firefox has crashed, but updated some of my plug-ins fixed this particular problem.
    Any suggestions?

Hello walter, when the accident happened not in safe mode it is a problem, most likely related to hardware acceleration. try to update your graphics driver, or in case this does not solve the problem, or there is no new version available at the time, disable hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > General.

  • How to remove the plug-in: Shockwave for Director

I got a new pc a few weeks and recently downloaded Firefox. I don't know if shockwave for Director came with the download. But he is listed in the PLUGINS. It displays a warning that they are vulnerable and must be updated. I don't want to do that. Although I have so far, it is not anything on the PLUGINS screen to REMOVE a plugin. That's what I want to do. I checked the control panel to uninstall, but it is not listed under Adobe, Intel, Shockwave, etc. I read another post where people suggested some things real techno that I would never try.

  • When Shockwave Flash is activated it causes flash videos trolling

I just got a new laptop (Acer) with Windows 10. In Firefox 42.0, all youtube videos play fine (because of HTML5, I guess), but the Flash videos trolling. I put Shockwave Flash plugin list for 'Never activate' that corrects the laggards. But now some videos on other sites are not at all because they need Shockwave Flash (they also staggered forward, for your information).

What do you think is the problem? Of course I want to have it turned on all the time, but without any delay.

I found the problem. It was crappy Acer CPU. During playback of Youtube videos that Firefox took the CPU to 95% most of the time and with the Flash it was even worse because of Firefox and Flash player running at the same time.

So my problem must be fixed by buying a cell phone better. That's what I get for assume that all laptop these days can run Youtube videos.

Thanks for the help, and I hope what I found helps other people also have this problem.

  • Shockwave Flash 20.0.0.235 set to update automatically, however...

Under December 2015 Adobe Security Bulletin, I wanted to check my previous Shockwave Plugin update and viola! It was already updated to 20.0.0.235 in date from 12/08/2015. Great! That said, I also noted that, under the foregoing to day was a previous November 2015 Shockwave 19.0.0.245, still in place... a bit strange, nespau? I'm wrong, but the new update should completely replace the old, do not install the older version of again and remain status quo? Doesn't seem to be a problem in terms of performance, however, I would be recognizing opinions as to whether the latter should be removed manually, or left as that is.

    See attached screenshot.

    Thanks in advance.

First try to restart Firefox if it was running when updating Adobe Flash Player. Sometimes the Flash Player doesn't have older version on Windows.

You can use the uninstaller to uninstall Flash Player, and then install the current version.
    https://helpx.Adobe.com/Flash-Player/KB/uninstall-Flash-Player-Windows.html

Make sure Firefox is not running / closed before uninstallation and installation of Flash Player.

Hey sorry, this seems to be a bug in the plugin site checker. For some reason, it confuses one of the Intel (the one with this version number) plugins with Shockwave. You can either disable the Intel plugins if you don't use them, try to upgrade to a newer version if you, or ignore the message.
