  First of all I suggest you Intel HD 400 from Device Manager. Once you disable Intel HD 400, NVIDIA GeForce GT740M will be activated.

  As for the help of all the other drivers, there is an option that works for me.  If you must use a driver newest to work with Win8.1 (I have) there is a solution, but the will of costs over the life of the battery!

  I had been using latest drivers for my 8710w fx3600m rigging using this method and I hope that it is a possible solution for you as well:

  Download a newer driver for the fx3600m for Win8.1 and it's a good idea to film for WHQL drivers.

  I am currently using the 334.95 driver (334.95-quadro-notebook-win8-win7-64bit-international-whql.exe).

  DO NOT install the drivers right away.

  Download"Powermizer Switch.exe" here - http://www.box.net/shared/v7jpoateoq

  Powermizer Switch.exe extract on your desktop for quick access.  You will need to be easily accessible.

  It may be a good idea to make sure you're clean of any other video drivers Nvidia beforehand.

  Now, we are ready to install the driver.

  IMPORTANT!  When you install the driver, only select the driver and nothing else and don't forget to restart immediately!

  Once on the Windows desktop, start immediately 'Powermizer Switch.exe', click on 'Powermizer Off' and YES to restart!

  This will allow all pilots before the xx 192.le and eliminate the blackscreen/blue screen issue.

  I have latest Skype and the latest video drivers and when I go to tools-> video, the entire system crashes (Windows 8.1) with strips of different colors on my screen. I have to restart the whole PC. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

  I've been running the default Vista on my A135-S2246 with a total of 1 GB of installed memory. It's just dog-slow; My wife & I can no longer take it.

  No driver for Win XP is available at Toshiba for this model. A colleague has an A105-S2141 which I thought that can be almost identical, so I downloaded all the drivers.

  So far, on a partitioned hard drive freshly, I installed WinXP Pro, patched to SP2 and got most of these s2141 drivers to install successfully. Right now I'm left with only two unknown devices in Device Manager, which I think is related to ACPI and buttons 'special' - all the FUNCTION keys and the four buttons to the left of the normal keyboard (web/music, play, stop, prev/fwd?).

  What I know is that I can't get the ACPI common Modules (common_modules_24589A.exe) function to install - it says: "the usefulness of this software does not support this system. Installation will end. Because of this failure, a few other pilots s2141 install because they report that they need these "common modules" to be installed first. Other drivers who are not the Hotkey Utility, enable/disable Touchpad and utilities Toshiba for Windows XP.

  Everything is fine - video drivers, devices pci, usb, dvd/cdrom, ide, lan, atheros wireless drivers - they are all happy happy with the Win XP downgrade. But I don't want this o/s officially unless I set the unknown devices and get my FUNCTION keys working again.

  Any suggestions?

  I'm desperately looking for Windows 7 Ultimate 32 bit video drivers appropriate for the video chipset 7900GTX on my Satellite P105 (PSPA6A-02N021).

  The drivers I installed the work in terms of resolution, but the video performance is about 1/4 of what is normal. For example, if I run 3dMark2006, I used to get about 4000 points with XP Pro, however, I now get about 900 points, regardless of whether the drivers I am trying.
  (Please note, I used to have the same problems with XP Pro, when I tried the packs different driver and is around 3 that worked, being the standard Toshiba pulled out of the video drivers and 2 packs of www.laptopvideo2go.com (174.74 & 180.85 memory) driver).

  I don't know which driver you are using now, but first we must forget this referral programs. In my opinion they said nothing about the performance, it's just good test the PC to find errors. Especially 3D Mark is quite different from real games because it uses another engine.

  In any case, your laptop, I have the Australian page-based and are therefore no Windows 7 driver available... Maybe you need to use the preinstalled operating system? ?:|

  By the way: on the Europe of Toshiba page, I created a similar model, Satellite P100 PSPA6E, so you can get a Windows 7 display driver:

  This driver is for nVidia and version 179.76 cards. Theoretically, this version should work for you too, it's worth a try! ;)
