Video editing in Photoshop

When editing video in Photoshop, is it possible to save it as a Photoshop file in order to continue working on it at a later date, without losing the motion? I tried to do this and Yes, he saved all the layers, but when I tried to play it, there was no movement. He was still.

First what version of PS do you have and what kind of video do you work? Here, I opened a MP4 video:

Then, I'll add a text layer:

Now I save:

Reopen and video plays with text showing:

End of the clip with moved truck and missing text.

Making the video:

If you encounter problems with the PSD option is displayed or just an image fixed playing, you might want to reinstall PS

  • Video editing in Photoshop - unsatisfied desires (waveform in the drawing tour - mitigation, ease-out - audio)

Hello, I edit videos in Photoshop CC (available first, but no option, see below). I edit screencasts in numbers almost industrial, and while in the aspects most Photoshop CC seems more useful than the first my specific needs, there are a few things that I sorely lacking:

    • Audio track should show the waveform
    • Mitigation, ease-out for dynamic expansion or objects in motion (as opposed to the strictly linear change)
    • To show a contour round or square drawn as if by a pencil on paper

Is - this somehow availabe/feasible in video editing Photoshop CC? I am aware that this wish list is answered by creation, but I use it for other reasons.

These features mentioned above should be availabe in Photoshop for the creative cloud subscribers who subscribe to the entire suite (not only Photoshop/Lightroom)?

    PS.

And I'm not going to use first, please accept. In fact, I used Camtasia video editor about 10 months, which was very nice for screencasts and addressed to all my points above. But in Camtasia, upscale footage seemed blurred, while Photoshop pixel replication value creates much better enlargements of dishes GUIs.

  • What would be the best video editing and photo editing software to use for an iMac for advanced users?

My first exposure to video and photo editing is on a PC with Adobe Premier and Adobe Photoshop.  I own a Macbook Air and have used iMovie and iPhoto.  It took me a few years to sort and organize thousands of photos archived and videos.  Now, with the changes in Final Cut Pro and the loss of the opening, I am, even once, sitting on the fence.  Compatibility between the software has always been a controversial issue and that you accumulate more and more files, it would be nice if Apple should keep in mind to develop software that can be upgraded seamlessly without losing or change any data.  For example, the photo is correct, once you become familiar with it. However, personally, I like the way events were created in iPhoto, but also how you can scrub through each event, just sweep a finger of each event.  Now in the Photos, you need to scroll right rows and rows of pictures, which seems to be a step backward when it comes down to the speed and convenience. I finally have the time to go back to my hobby of video editing and I was about to buy an iMac or a Macbook Pro.  What is the best choice for video and photo editing, or should I be looking back to Adobe?

You can go to Phase One's Capture One.

  • Y at - it a video editing software that I could use.

I was asked to edit a video together.  I have Windows 7 and Office 2010.  Is there a simple video editing software in there?

I have add more details to your previous thread if you want to further diagnose your problem with Movie Maker.

As for your current question on AVS4YOU, my guess would be that the VPS is a project file that is unique to this program.  In other words, the person who would continue to edit your project should have the same editing program, the project file and all the source files in the same places on their PC.

All video editing software are probably very similar in this regard.  For example, in Movie Maker, when you add items to your project, add transitions, etc. that they will appear in your project file.  In the case of Movie Maker, it's a .wlmp file.  A project file contains no actual video, photos or music, just the current state of your project.  It will contain a list of all your source files (the folder and the name of the relevant media file) and the details on the changes, transitions, effects, titles, legends added, etc.  But this isn't a file that can be understood by other video editing programs.

To share the results of your changes, you must save the film resulting in a video file.  There are many formats of your choice.  For example, the latest version of Movie Maker can record in MP4 or WMV format.  That can be used in other programs.  AVS4YOU lists a number of formats too.

However, which would result in a single video file with all your changes incorporated.  He would split points, individual videos/pictures, transitions, etc.  So basically, once you start editing in a video editor, you can't transfer this session to another video editor except as a completed film.

There are exceptions, for example Adobe makes it so their other products include Photoshop files and Illustrator, or part of a project of creation may be related to an After Effects project.  Another example is that a Movie Maker project can be imported into Nero video 2014 for further processing. But it must be designed for and is not common during the passage to other video editing software.

  • Need recommendation for laptop - for video editing

I'm trying to looking for a new laptop and need recommendations based on how I use the laptop.  I produce videos and mainly use the following programs: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Encore DVD.  I also use other software such as AutoFX PGE7.0 of photo editing.

I currently have a HP Pavilion which is about 5 years old.  This office has the following specifications:

    HP Pavilion PU131AV / a1050y, Intel Pentium 4 CPU 3.20 GHz, 2 GB RAM, Windows XP MCE, SP3 32-bit, Nvidia GeForce 6600

I believe that with a new laptop, I was able to create my videos more efficiently.  If you have any input as to what I need in a laptop for my specific purpose, please let me know.

    Thank you very much

    new computer: HPE-180 t, Windows 7 Pro (64 bit), Nvidia GeForce GT 220, Intel Core i7 - 930 quad-core CPU @ 2.80 GHz, 8 GB of RAM

For what you are doing you need all the horsepower you can gather. You have not specified a budget and with what you're trying to do, I don't think that it would be useful to think of anything less than a thousand dollars. You need at least 4 GB of memory and preferably 8. You need a 64 bit version of Windows 7. You need a quad core or i7 processor. Regarding the size of the screen, it's a matter of personal choice, but I don't see how you can get in with less than a 15-inch screen. In respect to the HP products you can consider the urge again, but the problem is the lack of an internal optical drive (CD/DVD type).

HP is running a special offer on the dv6t Quad model with an i7 processor, $ 999 with a free upgrade to 4 GB of RAM and a concert full of video memory. While your P4 3.2 was the killer at a time where it was released, the dv6t Quad run rings around her, particularly in Photoshop. Make sure that you use a recent version of Photoshop with 64-bit and support multi-core. Also be sure to get the 7200 RPM hard drive, because it makes a big difference in video editing.

    Good luck and enjoy.

  • Impossible to save raw files I edit in Photoshop and save as a JPEG, appear in Lightroom

I'm migrating from an iMac to a Windows 10.  When I edited the raw on the mac version of Photoshop files and saved as jpeg files, they appeared in Lighroom.  On the new machine Windows 10, raw files I edit in Photoshop and save it in JPEG format do not appear in Lighroom, although they are physically in the directory.  Why don't Lighroom automatically displays?  Is not supposed to help me please.

If you still wish to JPGs of Photoshop-

Open preferences / surface-mounted and set the "File Format" in JPG format.

    The procedure is then:

    Select the image in LR

Right click and choose "Edit in"-Photoshop.

When you are done in Photoshop, use 'save' (or simply close the photo, and PS will ask you to "Save")

    * Do NOT use 'Save AS'.

Whenever you use 'Save AS' and change the file format (for eg. open as TIFF, save as jpg or open as RAW and save - AS a different format preferably LR) Lightroom does not know this 'new' file that you create.

As you note - any file will save in the folder, and to see these 'new' files LR you need simply Right click the FOLDER and "synchronize a folder...". "This 'important' the 'new' image in the library.

Mohit suggestion is another way to get the image in LR, keeping it in a file auto-importations, but you will need to set up this folder first as in his music video screen, is not available by default.

  • Existing video editing (specifically; images)

    Hi all

I looked through a lot of discussion video editing (and made multiple internet searches), and I have not yet found an answer to what I'm trying to accomplish.  I hope someone here can help, and which would be greatly appreciated!

I know how to make an animated GIF, and I also know how to make basic changes (adding text, transitions, music, etc.) of video files.  What I have a problem, namely is how to edit video in a way that allows me to make changes to the image in the video itself.  For example, if I want to go in a video and blur on a plate of licenses on a vehicle, what is the best way to do this?

So far, the only way I understood is to make video images, edit each image, then convert the video frames.  It is a long and tedious process, and I feel like there is probably a better/more efficient way to do inside Photoshop.  Perhaps is not here and it's just a long and tedious process, but I hope that someone can find out about a better method.

Could someone provide any help would be greatly appreciated!

You have access to a NLE such as Premiere Pro and Premiere Elements? This would be the way to go for what you want to do.

Photoshop peut work, but you must work around paradigm, unlike the more 'linear' method of editing in an NLE as first of Photoshop. (It's a bit like vector images; of course, Photoshop can work with a vector, but if there is a taste of Illustrator, it could not go back to Photoshop for vector stuff. "I'm sure that Adobe has designed this way on purpose.)

MY minimum computer is about $900 (at the time I checked last price) and is the absolute minimum that I would consider for the video that you will change

  • Video editing system Sugestions

After some research on this forum and with the participation of some of you, I finally have a list of parts and prices to my video editing system. Am planing to use it for Adobe Premiere Pro, Photoshop, After Effects CS5, and Sony Vegas. Will mainly work with AVCHD video.  You think what are the parts of right for me? Thank you!

    Motherboard: Asus P6X58D-E LGA 1366 Intel X 58 SATA 6 Gbps $209.99

    Processor: Intel i7-980 x Extreme $999.99

    Power supply: Corsair CMPSU-750TX 750W $109.99

    RAM: CORSAIR DOMINATOR 12 GB (3 X 4) DDR31600 $269.99

    GPU: PNY QUADRO FX1800 768 MB GDDR3 PCIe $2.0 449.99

HD: X 3 WD VELOCIRAPTOR 300 GB (OS, SOURCE, MAKE)

Case: Cooler Master HAF 932 FULL TOWER $150.00

    TOTAL $2 639,95

Get rid of this Quadro FX1800. It is a waste of money and does not support the MPE. Better, get a GTX 460/470/480. And get a third CPU cooler like the CoolerMaster Hyper 212, Noctua NH - D14 or Prolimatech Megahelem. And the minimum 850W PSU.

  • Tutorials for video editing

    Hi all

I was looking for plugins or filters to make changes on a video example

    Watch this video

    http://www.Fubiz.NET/2008/05/19/room-post-production/

We need to take a step back and clarify if redaboss looking for a way to retouch images in video (as shown in the sample video) or redaboss looking for a way to change/sequence video clips. I suspect there are two conversations going on here.

In the sample video, some edits seems to be done manually with a drawing like Photoshop program. There are also effects applied with a plugin for image processing video editor application.

There is not much difference in the video editing and photo editing, except that the video requires work repeated several images. You can google for thousands of "retouching tutorials. You can also do well to learn about google or other common words in this field as "rotoscope" and "onion skin".

  • Help in obtaining loans for a simple video editing MBP

I am trying to put things in place on a slightly older Macbook Pro.

    Here is my system configurations:

OS X Version of El Capitan 10.11.5

    The MacBook Pro mid-2010

Processor: 2.4 GHz Intel Core 2 Duo

    Memory 4 GB 1067 < Hz DDR3

NVIDIA GeForce 320 M 256 MB graphics card

I learned that my GPU's massively underpowered, i.e. 256 MB of VRAM is much too small.

Through my research, I also determined that the GPU can be replaced, because I think it is welded in to the motherboard.

In addition, my hard drive is probably not good either, quite right? Core 2 duo of is not as good as the new i7. So what are my options?

I used to be able to run at least iMovie and slap some clips together for short videos, even add music. I lost iMovie during the upgrade to Yosemite and am trying to figure out if it's worth trying again (for $15). Before that I tried Davinci resolve 12.5 (which is more than my computer can manipulate wayyy), and then I even tried the GoPro simple studio software. Turns out that GoPro software is not that simple if you're not using images of the GoPro and my computer was struggling to convert, rendering, see even the files. And I don't think I'd be able to make the colors in GoPro calibration software, so I'm a little more than. I don't think I need all the features of Final Cut Pro, as I'm looking to throw together a few vacation pictures and some pictures again, also a timelapse here and there in the video, etc.

I want to mention the GoPro software comes to losing me a lot of cred in this question, but this is where I am. I don't want to really go out and start building a computer for video editing (although it seems I could do relatively cheap ~ $ 600)

Thoughts? Suggestions? What would you do if you could do it again?

In addition, the camera that I mainly record the images and still images is a Panasonic G6

    Thanks for any help!

What about iMovie.  .  .  have you tried looking in your AppStore account to see if it is still available as a free download?

It is likely that you will not be able to install FCP X directly from the app store on your computer, probably, he does not meet the minimum specs for the latest version.

However, you can download on a Mac more modern and copy it to all but you really need a more powerful Mac.

You can download a free 30-day trial version to see if it will work in terms of: -.
