Video of Twonky/WD MyBookLive DLNA on BDP-S370

I know I'm not the only one watching video files through Twonky/WD MyBookLive listened on the BDP-S370 questions, but I'm not having any luck with all file formats. I don't really like working formats, I would like to just at least one to work. I tried MP4, AVI, MKV, MPG... almost everything formats manual claims to support, and I get the dreaded "There is no playable file" or whatever it says. The only movies I could watch are random VOB files, but even then I get inconsistent results. some of the VOB are not recognized at all, and those who do not play all along. Am I missing something here?

To get the files more dlna ensure that the video is mpeg-2. The audio must be AC3/2 or AC3/6. The container (file) can be vob and m2ts. The files must not contain any format not supported. DTS in the file will be rejected by the player.

Linksys AE2500 is compatible with the Sony adapter for use on an of DVD disc Blu - ray player BDP-S370 to connect to a wireless network?

    Hello Jaime,

Only the UWA-BR100 wireless LAN adapter is supported for use with the Sony BDP-S370 Blu - ray disc drive to connect to a wireless network. Sony has tested the adapter LAN USB UWA BR100 and it is guaranteed to work with the BD player. Adapter USB LAN wireless from other manufacturers may work, but Sony has not tested the and as a result, operations are not guaranteed.

Any help would be most appreciated. I can access other ' net content, such as Netflix, but not Hulu Plus and it's annoying because I don't want to lose my "free trial" to register.

  • Videos of Blu - ray and DLNA mkv

I have a Sony Blu - ray player and a Sony TV.  I put some video files on my laptop and set up so that I can watch videos on my tv and bluray player.  Problem, seems, is that the player only shows the mpeg, mkv files not files.  Anyone know of a solution for this?

I check the Manual of the comic page 73 of the reader and it says that the system does not play the MKV files via the DLNA feature. You can also check on this link for File Formats supported for Blu - ray Compatible DLNA drives.

  • SMP-N100 video MP4 / DLNA connectivity

    Hello
I just bought a SMP-N100 in order to watch the video 1080 p/60 p in my new camcorder 1080 p/60 p without loss of quality. I've updated the N100 to the latest firmware and it plays perfectly raw camcorder (only from a USB key) files but I am very disappointed that this will NOT:

    (1) video editing game files copied on the USB of the very expensive Sony Vegas Pro 10 (which is the only one editing program that currently works with these files!). Vegas records 1080/60 p video edited in .mp4 format. What is happening is that the N100 plays ONLY the AUDIO. There is NO VIDEO. He seems to think that these are audio music files! On Page 26 of the manual, it says clearly that video files are .mp4 STROKE supported

    (2) I bought the N100, because the PS3 can not read these files. The PS3 will attempt to play any of these file types (even my DLNA server) but chokes and stutters on these high-speed 60 p 28mbps video files, even with a wired connection, through drive AVCHD etc.

The N100 has the bandwidth to play these files, but won't EVEN TRY TO PLAY any of these files on the DLNA Server! Why not!!! After looking under the microscope, this is mentioned in the manual in a tiny note! (note 5 at Page 27)

Please, please, please add this feature to the N100 via a firmware update.

Even if you will not add support DLNA, the N100 should at least be able to play my edited your high-end .mp4 files edition program via a USB stick or hard drive!

    Thank you - M-

    Hello

I'm looking for support in the same case.

I'm very satsified with my SMP-N100 overall, the only thing I want to trouble is his ability to play the MP4 videos to a DLNA server on my home network. He plays the same MP4 videos saved on a USB key, but not from my DLNA server. Why?

It's exactly like USER-917367 deferred - there will be future updates to play video files MP4 to a DLNA Server?

I get the Buykey.fr video files via FTP push-service on my DLNA server. It is very disappointing, not being able to view them with my SMP-N100. As much as this seems to be a software solveable problem.

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Happy new year to everyone of the Germany!

  • DLNA - 'no file playable found ".

My BDP-S570 can see my DLNA server and browse the directory structure. However, he pointed out each directory as "no playable file found".

I have a mixture of .mkv, .mp4, .mpg and .vob files. The player sees any of them.

I had a similar problem on a player of Blu - Ray BDP-S570. I have a Western Digital external hard drive with a Twonky media server. The BDP-S570 would find the music repertoire, but gave error "no playable files found" when you try to play music. Interestingly, I just bought a Blu - Ray BDP - S580 player and it plays music on the WD external drive very well.

You're getting hammered by both ends.

Twonky V5.19 is choice of WD in the DLNA server software. It is broken.

You can upgrade to a working version by installing in the Twonky-5 directory, I'm running worm 6.0.37 and it is stable and rendering works well enough to make the functional WD NAS.

If you are not comfortable with Linux, do not attempt this without a step by step cheat sheet. WD's support forum has some. Remember that whenever you make a updated firmware for the WD NAS, you need to reinstall a functional version of Twonky. You will also need to pay for a registration of Twonky key after 30 days use.

I'm streaming movies mpg, mov movies and mp3 audio without problem. I was not brave enough to depart from this combination. I am currnelty using 2 WD MyBookLive NAS units.

Good luck; It took me more than a year of the WD does not as announced before I decide to make it compatible with the player Blu - ray Sony 570 and 46HX TV series...

  • Video streaming has stopped working

I have a BDP-S370 which was streaming Netflix, Hulu, Amazon, Youtube fine for almost two years, from 3 days, I got the error: connection status cannot be confirmed. Service has not started in this region... my routers very well (my pc and mac have no problem), the player can check for updates. But any time, I try to check the video Streaming or see "Advanced", I get the same error "Région" after the acquisition of content 1/3, 2/3, 3/3.

I tried to get help from online chat - but they were useless. I'm in Orange, California, and I know that the same question has hit the Ireland and it was due to a failure on end of Sony. The cat online stock exchange would not confirm any event like this (I even sent the link Sony UK) and everything he said was to contact the ISP - with what? He would not provide address IP or UNC of the Sony servers, so what is the ISP that is supposed to do?

Anyone else had similar issue or have one in California of the South, United States or TimeWarner cable?

Sorry to hear that it still does not work. I had another thought that is kinda a kill or cure.
I have read that many people were able to register their player for a better prepared because of Sony fact "Database Maintenance". After that, I saw several people get errors of 'Region '.
Perhaps there is an incorrectly flag.
Switch on your player and let it sit on the "home"(et connecté à internet). Menu display "»
On your computer, go to http://internet.sony.tv and sign in with the same user and password that you used when you activated your reader. You should find your player listed under your account.
Delete as if you is no longer belonged.
Wait 15 to 20 minutes to ensure that the database of Sony has updated.
On your reader navigate to activate enhanced features. It should give you a four digit code again a tell you can return to the web site.
Register your player and see what happens.

  • Question: BDP-S570 or BX57 internet multi-channel flow?

Hi all, I noticed recently that when I listen to the audio or video content on the network as my BDP-S570 diffuse now as a multichannel surround sound instead of the 2 stereo channels.
I don't know if this is caused by the latest firmware I installed or changed content providers (or the Sony Server site) in a recent past a few days to send their audio in 5.1 multichannel, now. Or finally if my BDP-S570 went buggy and it's stuck in the PCM multi-channel streaming mode.
It broadcasts my network all music and video internet connections in multichannel sound, even if I put the BDP-S570 "Downmix" mode setting of stereo 2 channels. I swear before I made this latest firmware update, I always had that 2-channel stereo audio from the internet network connections.
So I need to know and ask if someone else becomes sound mode of 5.1 channels of their Internet stream?

Update: too bad people, I found my answer. The cause of constantly multichannel PCM streaming of all my network connections was because I had the BDP-S570 DTS parameter defined on ' Neo: 6 Music ' instead of 'Off' in the settings menu. I set this to "off" and all the music from the internet is now back to regular 2-channel flows. for info. case solved.

I'm glad that you managed to fix the problem yourself. If you have additional questions, please let us know and we will be happy to help you.

  • Freezing on Hulu more

Hulu freezes to new BDP-S380, and loud. TV episodes will play fine by the commercial segment and first intro. Just like the first segment ends and goes to advertising, television shows (black with blue bar) loading screen and the progress on the bottom bar does not appear. The player display will tell VIDEO. The only buttons that will work at this point are to eject on remote control and drive and power, this will work only if pressed for a few seconds. It will stay in this state until the power is held down. It will then change the player display to SEE YOU, where it will remain indefinitely. This does not go far until the unit is unplugged. Once I was able to reset with unplugging them.

I also had a similar incident when using Crackle. The movie just stopped and went to this screen to load about 15 minutes in.

So, what does not work? Netflix and Pandora work very well. DVD also works very well. I don't know about blu - ray that I've had this unit a few days. Weird right? Who's buying a blu - ray player and discs? In addition, this thing is updated with the new firmware.

Any help is greatly appreciated. I will not give up on what I like online services.

I didn't "notify the answers" was turned off by default, so I saw earlier the two positions.

After working with the technical support of hulu and their developers, I didn't the question put in the return buffer. Once in awhile a few seconds of buffering occurs rarely now.

I tried the suggestion of router and at the time which did not help. all speed controls exceeded the 'good '. all connections have 'wired' no wifi. No one else, cable company isn't me, butterfly etc on my network home when these buffering of the episodes happened.

point of failure was therefore, the bdp-s370 or hulu. even support technique hulu forwarded all my test results to their developers. lost Presto, after about a week, a buffering isn't more issued.

Hulu even gave me a free month because of the problem. and their technical support was really good.

Yes, I still watch a BR disc on that too! go figure. guess I won't pay for BR discs when I get so many films no - BR listened. ;-)

    Thanks for all the answers

  • DVD players that will stream movies Media Hub

I'm looking for Blu - ray player that I can also stream movies to my Media Hub. I was hoping that we could start a list of combinations prople know will work. I'm looking actually at the Sony BDP-S370 but open to anything.

    Thank you

I have a PS3 and it works great.   The speed and quality of streaming video is fantastic.  I downloaded some videos 1080 p one of the HDD Sony HD camcorders directly to the media via USB hub.  This will quickly enough, given the amount of data.  Navigation via the PS3 is fast and quality of reading is... well... as good as my framing.  I downloaded also ripped DVD to Divx and it started right away and good mine.  I intend to rip DVD in addition to our library.

  • Record slacker Radio

I am trying to record my bdp-s370 with my account to Slacker Radio. When I opened a looser Radio, it instantly appears with the available stations. Never, it gives me the opportunity to register my device by providing a code as it did with Pandora and Netflix. Should I look elsewhere on the menu to register? I like to keep my radio synchronized with my Ipod Touch.
    Thanks in advance!

Yes, it will work immediately without recording, however there is a limit of time related to a looser use unregistered and the end of the term Slacker requires that the user registers. You have already an account Slacker that you can register immediately, then the default settings will then be replaced by your own parameters.

  • Laptop Wireless to the Blu - Ray format?

I'm my BDP-S370 to the network wireless network without buying the UAW-BR100. I got to thinking, I have a laptop soon sit 4 feet from my TV. Would it not possible to connect the laptop to the Blu - Ray via USB to USB cable and accomplish the same thing as the UAW-BR100?

I really hope that someone will answer your question because I was woundering the same

  • Wired connection

I just bought the Sony BDP-S370 and I tried to connect using a wired connection. I put my settings in and nothing I also did with 'AUTO' settings and nothing. I called Sony and they could not help I called comcast and none help so am hoping that some on hear can help.

    Hello 951253, the user
Congratulations on the purchase of your new Blu Ray player. Apologies, you experience network problems. Auto is fine for Setup, but when you need solving problems, you must look at all the parties involved. Check first is the layers of the devices.

Comcast Modem > router > wired connection to the player.
    or
Comcast Modem/Router > wired connection to the player

If you can connect directly to the modem try this first
(not all modems will allow this)
Once you have determined which device is blocking access, check your IP address.

You can find the network settings of > networking > Internet status > and if your ip address is valid as 192.168.x.xx then the router is good, but no communication to the Modem.

If you have an IP address under network settings of 169.xx.xx.xx then this is a universal car fake address created with no connectivity. and it could be your cable or other issues.

Sorry to provide general answers but with network troubleshooting, unless it is a specific Question, its best to work with us on-line.

  • Remove additional DLNA server entries from list of music and videos on BDP-S3100?

As I was getting my computerized DLNA server set up, I tested it on my Sony BDP-S3100. Now, I have multiple entries for the same server in the areas of music and video.

Is there a way to remove the extra entries WITHOUT resetting the drive? I hate having to re-enter all my logins for my other apps.

    Thank you!

Answering my own question later for others...

You can remove DLNA servers in the categories of video and music by going to network settings > Renderer access control. "He's list all DLNA servers, the player has in memory. There is an option to erase all or you can delete individual items by using button menu option .

So glad I figured this out, it was really annoying me!
