  • Satellite L955-10f - need help with uninstall Win8 and install Win7

I'm now totally fed up with the Mickey Mouse Windows 8 OS and want to return to Windows 7. I have a new laptop Toshiba Satellite L955-10f. Should I use the recovery disk to get rid of W8?

Is there a way I can get a recovery for W7 for this machine disk in case it is needed in the future? I'm not technical, so any help will be appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Right there is big problem with this machine. I ve checked the download page of Toshiba and this model is not supported for Win7, it will be difficult to find the right drivers, tools and utilities.

This model is designed for Win7 Toshiba doesn't offer Win7 recovery disc.
This is a rather complicated situation. The first thing you need to do should now create Win8 recovery media using the preinstalled Toshiba Recovery Disk Creator.

I put t know what to say. Maybe you have someone with an excellent knowledge of PC and who can help you with this. Material of your machine should be compared with other models may be supported, so you will be able to use the drivers, tools and utilities available for these models.

But do you really need this tool?
I mean you can enable and disable the wifi in the charm of Win8 bar menu.

  • clp2600n HP - printer reports (and all other print material) with great space rectangular white

    Hi all

My clp2600n of network printing, I get very strange impressions (see attachments) - even when I choose the reports of printer used the printer itself. Does anyone know this problem? Is it a software or a hardware problem? I guess a little paper in the print area is covering the toner cartridges? If Yes, how can I get it? There is no problem with the network. The error occurs with the win8.1, as well as with xp os. The printer is well connected and prints in black and white and color (see attachment of config) - but with the problems mentioned. Thanks for any help. Greetings from Aachen in Germany.

It seems the black toner cartridge may be defective. Remove the toner cartridge and make sure that there are no obstructions on the lens in the cavity with toner removed. Also check the toner cartridge for any obstruction to the drum or roller load. If you replace and the same problem occurs, there is a problem with the optics of the laser/scanner for the black toner. Chances are the toner cartridge is defective or an object does not block the image to go to the toner cartridge.

  • HP Laserjet P1006 won't work with Windows 8.1

I have a HP Laserjet P1006 that I installed it on my new laptop Windows 8. Everything worked well. I did an update last night to 8.1. The printer no longer works. I'm gone on the site and downloaded the latest driver who said that it would work with 8.1. After that it has been installed the printer still doesn't work. When I go into the control panel and see the printer it tells me that no driver is found. Help

    Hello

I understand that you are no longer able to print with the P1006 on Win8.1.

Did you first uninstall the P1006?

If not uninstall and reinstall the printer software again.

The two drivers are the same, if you look at the version on the Web site and should continue to work with the Win8.1.

If you need more simply make assistance let me know.

  • How can I reinstall a Windows 8 if I buy a laptop MSI with it preinstalled?

I plan to buy MSI CR70 2 M, the model I chose is delivered with preinstalled Win8. As the seller told me, no installation disc comes with the laptop.

I want to be able to reinstall Windows 8 in order to:

    (1) to format the HARD drive, including all the "hidden partition" and whatnot, in order to remove the bloatware manufacturer and make full use of the 500 GB drive that I paid for. I prefer also to partition my disk system disks is apart from all the rest, and all the data user and other things is on another disk, so that it is easier to reinstall System wtihout having back up your documents and other data.

Regions, then I would need to reinstall Windows 8 after that I have format.

    (2) try to install Windows 7 (I own a copy of it) and if I don't like how he behaves or I have driver problems, back to Windows 8. I don't want a dualboot, because if I'm satisfied with the performance of Windows 7 I never want to touch Windows 8 because I don't think it's a good OS for mobile phones or anything really that isn't a touch screen. I have therefore no use for Windows 8 either. But if something does not work, I would go back to Windows 8.

    (3) reinstall Windows when, like for all windows, it ends up by slowing down to a crawl and dies after several software installs and uninstalls and other things that happen to a life above OS. (I'd be happy to make a clean backup and restore to it instead of reinstalling, if the laptop would not come with pre-installed bloatware)

I understand, there may be certain guarantees and other things in place by Microsoft to fight against piracy, but as I see it, I'll buy a BONE, and I want to be able to reinstall the operating system, at least on the computer I bought it comes with.

    Alexey salvation,

I apologize for my late reply and appreciate your research.

There are various options to remove the bloatware that are detailed below.

    Option 1:

You are considering buying a new laptop, I suggest you buy a laptop under DOS and Windows 8.1 media to buy separately. You can install on your own on this laptop and you will get any-bloatware preinstalled by the OEM.

    Option 2:

You can buy a product key for Windows 8.1 and create an installation media for the installation. You must not 'refresh' or 'reset' of the PC. You can delete old partitions and create fresh partitions on the drive that will eliminate all the bloatware.

    Option 3:

'Refresh' or 'Reset' to your PC as indicated in previous answers and uninstall the bloatware manually in the windows programs and features in Control Panel (like almost all things can be uninstalled manually).

According to your needs with a separate retail product license or installation of the retail media version is a better option that won't let you go to your "day 1 computer"(OEM imagé). "»

Hope this information is useful. Let us know if you need additional information on the issue.

  • Windows 8 operating system is compatible with a new Panasonic Toughbook 19?

Windows 8 operating system is compatible with a new Panasonic Toughbook 19?  The sales representative is indicating that they do not have the COA available Win8.  Does this mean that I can buy the Toughbook 19 with the installed operating system Windows 7 and upgrade to OS Win8 one receiver time BUT does that mean the hardware is not compatible with the Win8 OS?

  • Access to Boot to install Satellite M50-A-110 problem

    Hello

I just bought a Satellite M50-A-110 and wanted to install Win 7.

Problem is that I have difficulties to access the bios press F2, esc, or DELETE...

It worked (twice) if I could change boot USB (with a bootable USB key that I used on other computers to install win 7), still does not begin to earn 8...

So I formatted the hard drive to get rid of all the partitions and win 8.

Replaced the hard drive, insert the USB and now I have this message:

"Reboot and select proper boot device."
or Insert boot media in selected boot and press device any key..."

    So my questions are:

-Are known issues with the m50-a-110, in the start menu? and what is the key / key combination, that I push?
-This would be installing win 7 can only be achieved with a USB 3.0? (2 slots USB 3.0 and USB 2.0)

Thank you for your help in advance and good luck,

Hello and thanks for the comments. On a site I m happy to know that you have solved your problem, but on the other hand, it is not the best solution.

Have you really taken apart your laptop to access the CMOS battery? I mean, after this action, your warranty is no longer valid.

On this forum you can find numerous threads about the same question, where is explained what needs to be done about it and what steps are required to install Win7 on new models of laptops with preinstalled Win8 / Win8.1.

What needs to be done first is the full stop - http://aps2.toshiba-tro.de/kb0/TSB2B03EY0002R01.htm
After doing this, it is possible to enter the BIOS settings and change the secure boot settings.

I just hope that you have created a recovery (DVD or USB) media until you have formatted your HARD drive.

In any case, good luck with your machine.

  • Need driver touchpad for Satellite C870D - 11 X

I just reinstalled windows 8 on my Satellite C870D - 11 X and the touch pad does not work the cursor (a plug in mouse works well).

I guess I need a driver. Can someone point me to a site to download the correct driver?
    Thank you very much.

According to laptop specification your machine was shipped with preinstalled WIN8 64bits.
You have reinstalled this original version of the OS (recovery image)?

Original recovery image contains all the necessary drivers, tools and utilities, so everything should be OK.
Check please if your touchpad is correctly activated (FN + F5).

  • Utility Toshiba HDD Protection cannot be installed on my C50-A513 Satellite

I have a Toshiba Satellite C50-A513 running Windows 8 x 64. I tried to download Toshiba HDD Protection three times, but every time I download and then to install it, nothing comes. Once its installed, nothing does not appear. It's like the installation bar ends but no dialog to the HARD drive protection arises. I tried to search in under MATERIAL AND AUDIO Control Panel to check if she had been properly installed but found nothing interesting there.

Yes, I did download the right driver suitable for my laptop and that several times too just to be sure. Someone could tell me what is the problem with this and how can I make it work?

    Waiting for answer,
    Thank you!

According to specification specifications your machine was shipped with preinstalled Win8.1 64-bit so I m wondering what exactly you do.
Please don't get me wrong you have the machine with the latest version of the OS, but now you have problems with the old version of the OS.

Somehow, it is not logical for me.

In any case, I ve tried to check the download page for your machine on http://www.toshibamea.com/en/Download-Files but anyway it doesn't work properly. I assume that there is only a temporary problem so I can't check what kind of stuff is listed for download.
Out of curiosity but have you installed driver Toshiba system first?

  • to update / change to 8.1 windows vista recovery partition (old hardware DV9610EF)

    Hi supports,

I have a HP DV9610EF computer was equipped with windows vista (2007), I upgraded from vista to win8 in 2013, without no problem, many thks HP.

Now, my question is the following:

In order to have a new computer, I want to know if it is possible to move the "(original vista) recovery partition" and rebuilt it with my WIN8, if yes how to treat?

Thank you very much for your support - Jacky de France :-)

    Nice day.

    Hello

It is not possible to reconstruct the OEM recovery partition using a different operating system.

8.1 win has a few available recovery options:

    Create a custom Refresh Image.

Create a USB Microsoft recovery discto use when your PC does not start or your HARD drive fails. Note, you will not be able to access Recovery Manager from HP that you have upgraded from Vista to Win 8.1.

Create an image of Microsoft Systemon the external backup media.

    Resetyour PC.

  • Satellite L50-B-1XF - Win 7 64-bit drivers and software

    Hello

as I can't find anything on my model - Satellite-L50-B-1XF (PSKTUE-04C00WGR), I'll try it here...

I bought two of these (one for me, one for my wife) with installed Win8.1.

Well well... no need to say that it is one of the worst OS I have ever seen and since Tru64 Unix and VMS, I've seen a lot.

Anyway. I went down to Win7 Professional SP1 64-bit - full re-installed all updates installed, etc.

Now, I have the problem that I can't find anything on the camera.
Is there any support here page where I can download the appropriate drivers for Win764Bit specially for this model?

    Help here is appreciated!

    Hi Stuart

The situation is quite simple and clear, then I really wonder that you were not able to find drivers, tools and utilities for your laptop model.

For European laptops, you can download all the stuff on http://www.toshiba.eu/innovation/download_drivers_bios.jsp
It is European support page to download the drivers. I found your model and your laptop model is fully supported for Win7 64 bit so you can find all the drivers, tools and utilities there.
Please check and if there is a problem with the installation let us know
