Win 7 VPN client cannot access remote resources beyond the VPN server
I have a Win 7 laptop with work and customer Win 7 VPN set up, and through it that I can access everything allowed resources on the remote network.
I built a new computer, set up the Win 7 client with the exact same parameters everywhere, connected to the VPN with success, but can not access any of the resources on the remote network that I can on my laptop.
Win 7 64 bit SP 1
I did research online and suggestions have already had reason of my new set up. In addition, I have a second computer that I've set up the VPN client, and I'm having the same problem. VPN connects successfully, but is unable to access the resources.
Tested with firewall off the coast.
Troubleshooting Diagnostic reports: your computer seems to be configured correctly, distance resources detected, but not answered do not.
I created another VPN client on the new computer to another remote network and everything works perfectly.
Remember the old VPN connection to the remote network that does not work on the new computer works perfectly on Win 7 64 bit laptop computer.
So, what do I find also different between identical configurations "should be" where we work and two new machines is not?
It must be something stupid.

The VPN Clients cannot access any internal address
Without a doubt need help from an expert on this one...
Attempting to define a client access on an ASA 5520 VPN that was used only as a
Firewall so far. The ASA has been recently updated to Version 7.2 (4).
Problem: Once connected, VPN client cannot access anything whatsoever. Client VPN cannot
ping any address on internal networks, or even the inside interface of the ASA.
(I hope) Relevant details:
(1) the tunnel seems to be upward. Customers are the authenticated by the SAA and
are able to connect.
(2) by many other related posts, I ran a ' sh crypto ipsec her "to see the output: it
appears that the packets are décapsulés and decrypted, but NOT encapsulated or
encrypted (see the output of "sh crypto ipsec his ' home).
(3) by the other related posts, we've added commands associated with inversion of NAT (crypto
ISAKMP nat-traversal 20
crypto ISAKMP ipsec-over-port tcp 10000). These were in fact absent from our
Configuration.
(4) we tried encapsulation TCP and UDP encapsulation with experimental client
profiles: same result in both cases.
(5) if I (attempt) ping to an internal IP address of the connected customer, the
real-time log entries ASA show the installation and dismantling of the ICMP requests to the
the inner target customer.
(6) the capture of packets to the internal address (one that we try to do a ping of the)
VPN client) shows that the ICMP request has been received and answered. (See attachment
shooting).
(7) our goal is to create about 10 VPN client of different profiles, each with
different combinations of access to the internal VLAN or DMZ VLAN. We do not have
preferences for the type of encryption or method, as long as it is safe and it works: that
said, do not hesitate to recommend a different approach altogether.
We have tried everything we can think of, so any help or advice would be greatly
Sanitized the ASA configuration is also attached.
appreciated!
Thank you!
It should be the last step :)

Satellite Pro L500: Cannot access Microsoft Office - need serial key
Cannot access Microsoft Office on my laptop, the series Satellite Pro L500, need a product key of 25 letter/symbol.
Not with the paperwork, instruction manual, or on laptop background.
Found a key to the letter or symbol 25 on bottom of laptop, but Microsoft Word/Publisher/excel etc will not accept?Hi mate
AFAIK the preinstalled Office is a trial version!
You cannot use the serial key you found at the bottom of the unit because the key to this series is a serial OEM key and it belongs to the version preinstalled Windows. So if you want to enable the office, then you will need to purchase the full license!
See you soon

Cannot access Pathname you have the appropriate permissions. Cannot download updates gives error code 643 and error code 5. Always gives access denied. You do not have the appropriate permissions. I am the administrator. Change all the complete control. Any other suggestions? Possible virus?
Hello
You are unable to download the updates?
Try the following steps to resolve the problem:
Method 1: Temporarily disable any security (including firewalls) software and check if the problem persists.
Check out these links:
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/turn-Windows-Firewall-on-or-offhttp://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/disable-antivirus-software
If disabling the security software solves the problem, then contact the manufacturer of the specific security software to fix the problem.
Important: Antivirus software can help protect your computer against viruses and other security threats. In most cases, you should not disable
your antivirus software. If you do not disable temporarily to install other software, you must reactivate as soon as you are finished. If you are
connected to the Internet or a network during the time that your antivirus software is disabled, your computer is vulnerable to attacks.Method 2:
See the article mentioned below and run the Fixit diagnostic tool to fix the error 643.You receive error code 80070643 0 x or 0 x 643, code error when you use the Windows Update or Microsoft Update Web sites to install updates:

Cannot access Windows Gadgets because the message only the administrator is permitted.
Original title:
I am logged on as administrator (only 1 person on this computer) but I get messages that only an administrator can access some files (for example the Windows Gadgets))
I have Windows 7 Ultimate, only one person has this computer (me), I installed as admin (no other account on this computer). Cannot access Windows Gadgets because the message only the administrator is permitted. I AM THE ADMINISTRATOR! Why is this happening?
Hello
1. you only receive the error message when you try to access the "Windows Gadgets"? What is the full error received?
2 have you made any changes to the computer before the show?
Method 1:
Step 1:
Check if you are able to access to the files and programs into account administrator in safe mode.
Start your computer in safe mode
http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/start-your-computer-in-safe-mode
Restart the computer to return to normal mode
Step 2:
If you are able to access all files and programs to the account administrator in safe mode then I suggest that you create a new user to the administrator.
Create a user account

Hang a new virtual machine to the Internet
All virtual machines that I downloaded connect to internet automatically when I their fire upwards. I downloaded a new machine virtual de VulnHub, specifically BrainPan2. It does not connect to the internet automatically even if it is supposed to. It's a vulnerable VM installation for security penetration testing. Now, I start my VM Kali, do a scan of the network and see all my computers. I'll start a VM unrelated, rerun the scan and check the other appears. Now I launch BrainPan, run the scan and nothing. I don't see on the scan.
I read several guides associated with the virtual BrainPan2 of the internet machine, and everyone seems to be able to plug in and go. On the site of the BrainPan: 'import brainpan2.ova into your privileged hypervisor and configure the settings of the network to your needs. It will get an IP via DHCP, but it is recommended that run you to the breast of a NAT or visible by the host only operating system because it is vulnerable to attack."
So, I put the virtual machine to run on NAT, connected by a bridge and also host. I can't detect the virtual machine by any means, it just is not auto-connect. And I can not connect and plug it as he did to hack.
Does anyone have any suggestions?
Hi John,.
I'm using the regular VMware Fusion, not Fusion Pro. Fusion Pro is a virtual network editor that could help; I do not know. Just for fun, I downloaded BrainPan2 VM, and it worked only. Here are the steps I took:
- Go to Brainpan: 2 ~ VulnHub
- Click Download, which exposes the download link.
- Download the file brainpan2.zip and unzip it.
- Check the integrity of the downloaded file brainpan2.ova. In terminal, type 'openssl sha1', and then drag the file brainpan2.ova to the Terminal to fill in the full path of the brainpan2.ova file. Press return. Compare the sha1 hash in the terminal with one on the web page of the BrainPan. If they do not match, try again download.
- Open VMware Fusion 8 and choose file-> import. Drag the file brainpan2.ova to the window. Click on the button continue and save the converted virtual machine. VMware Fusion will display a progress bar as it converts the file .ova. It took a few minutes on my Mac. Once the conversion is completed, you will see a window Finished.
- Click Customize settings.
- As part of the network card, select private to my Mac.
- Start the virtual machine of BrainPan2. I don't bother to upgrade the hardware. You will see a login prompt, which I ignored. The BrainPan2 virtual machine will get an IP address from the DHCP server on VMware virtual network.
Optional:
- Open the BrainPan2.vmwarevm file in the Finder. Right-click to display the contents of the package. Open the vmware.log with a text editor like BBEdit or TextWrangler or even TextEdit. Search for "192.168" and you will find two entries to the VMware virtual networks. On my system, the private sector in my Mac network was vmnet1 to 192.168.166. * (I guess that the other network is the "share with my Mac" NAT.) He was appointed vmnet8.)
- Close the log file.
Instead of Kali Linux, I used one of my virtual machines in OS X, because it was very convenient. (My Kali Linux virtual machine are saved on an external drive). The virtual machine of OS X I used runs El Capitan, but any version of Mac OS X.
- Take a snapshot of the OS X machine for two reasons: (1) to maintain its normal parameters and (2) because I don't trust the BrainPan2 virtual machine to not attack the OS X machine on the VLAN.
- After the snapshot set network configuration of the virtual machine of the OS X private to my Mac, so that it is on the same virtual network as the virtual machine of BrainPan2.
- Start Mac virtual machine. In the terminal, type "ifconfig en0" to see its IP address on the local network deprived of VMware. There are other ways to find the IP address, of course. My virtual machine to OS X has been awarded 192.168.166.129, so I figured though the virtual machine of BrainPan2 has been assigned to 192.168.166.128, which proved to be just.
- If it is not already installed, download nmap or Zenmap or tools of everything that you need. A Kali Linux preinstalled.
- Run a scan of the LAN ping. Example: ' nmap - sn 192.168.166. * "you should see the virtual switch to 192.168.x.1, your virtual Kali Linux or OS X machine and the virtual machine of BrainPan2 (mine was 192.168.166.128 as I suspected). The virtual machine BrainPan2 responds to the pings.
- At this point, I ran a scan of port of the virtual machine of BrainPan2. Not wishing to spoil your fun, I will only say that I found the open ports on the BrainPan2 virtual machine.
Don't forget to restore your virtual machine OS X (or Kali Linux) to the previous snapshot once you are done with BrainPan2, if nothing else, but to restore access to the Internet by moving out of virtual private LAN.
I hope this helps. Please let us know if you are able to make it work. I hate to write solutions and then never discover what happens then.

How can access us the Client on a virtual machine on the host ESXi VI?
Good afternoon, we are evaluating a virtualization solution, our company is small and we want only 3 servers to virtualize, and we want to use one of the virtual machines on the ESXi host, using the Client of VI, so we can use the keyboard and the screen of this server to access virtual machines. Our idea is to use this virtual machine as a workstation.
Is this possible? or we use VMware server?
Kind regards
Cristian Fernández
It is really not possible. Since the physical ESXi console, you will see only the menus and COS screens.

SOLVED: PC Windows 7 cannot access remote shares or the
Head, meet wall. Wall, meet the leader.
I have a W7/64 PC that cannot access network shares. He has been installed from the original CD (simple installation) but never worked. Resettlement is not a preferred option because the client already has tons of data and applications on it.
Other machines can access the local shares of this PC, but it can access any remote shares (on any other PC W7) or his own - in short customer service around file sharing does not work properly, although this machine can see all available actions... She just can't access. Other PC can access machines that cannot do this. Ping works fine in all cases.
"Remote machines appear in the list of"Network"in Windows Explorer, but trying to access them produces an error: the specified network provider name is invalid.

Note how the workstation service is said not having started, but in fact has already started summer (which I checked in the list of services). In short, this does not appear be related to a service does not...
I went through all the standard movements as posted on the Interwebs, including the verification of services, local policies, home groups, convenience stores, and which do not. Note that I tried to start the workstation service via a DOS box as an administrator; If I'm not I get a "system error 5 has occurred" and and "access denied".
In short, I am completely puzzled. I start the troubleshooting of this PC, but now I want to just pull it. Please help before something bad happens... :-)
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

Why my VPN clients cannot access network drives and resources?
I have a cisco asa 5505 configured to be a VPN gateway. I can dial using the anyconnect VPN client. The remote user is assigned an IP address to my specifications. However... The remote user cannot access network such as disks in network resources or the fax server. I've done everything I can to set the right settings NAT and ACLs, but in vain. I write my config... If someone can track down the problem. It would be appreciated!

Hello
What is the IP address of the hosts/servers LAN Gateway?
If this is not the ASA 'inside' interface IP address then I assume that the problem with VPN is simply routing.
For example, if your hosts/servers LAN wireless LAN gateway router then the following would happen to your Clients VPN connections.
- Forms of customers login VPN users through configuring wireless routers static PAT (Port Forward) to interface "inside" ASA
- Client VPN sends traffic through the VPN to ASA and again the host of the server or LAN.
- Host/server LAN sees the connection from a network other than the LAN (192.168.202.0/24) and therefore to forward traffic to the default gateway that would likely be the wireless router.
- Wireless router has no route to the network 192.168.202.0/24 (VPN Pool) and therefore uses its default route to the external network to forward traffic.
- Client VPN host never received the traffic back as transmitted sound on the external network and abandoned by the ISP
So if the above assumption is correct, then you would at least need a configuration of the road on the wireless router that tells the device to transfer traffic to the network 192.168.202.0/24 to the 192.168.201.200 gateway IP address (which is the SAA)
I would like to know if the installation is as described above.

constantly... Is there any solution for this... Thank you
your valuable suggestions...
Thank you and best regards,
Indianmale.
Just to clarify - you are unable to connect using the default management tools to the servers in your office.
Have you tried to remote desktop, telnet, ssh, otherwise?
I'm kind of thinking he's trying to communicate to the world for the validity of a SSL key

WRT110, Vista, wired desktop cannot access utility based on the router's web
Computer Vista hard wired to the WRT110 cannot access the router. But it CAN get to internet and CAN ping router without losses. The XP machine is wireless, can get internet and CAN ping router without losses, but also can NOT access the router page. Ipconfig displays 192.168.1.1 is the correct default gateway address. Yesterday, I had to reset the modem to access the router and had to enter all the parameters. Could access router yesterday but can't today. The IP address is valid from yesterday to tomorrow. I don't understand what has happened to prevent access to the router. I even unplugged the modem to the router and still cannot access router today. I can't find this problem in the forum, hope this isn't a duplicate request. Thanks for any help
I have NO idea why, but I can access the Web with IE8 installed utility pages. Has absolutely no sense to me. Of course, it must be some kind of safety but my IE use medium-high settings, so I can't imagine what passage of IE7 to IE8 did indeed these parameters.
Happy now that I can access these pages, finally. Hope this helps someone else.
