view in Mac print queue
C4280 all-in-One used on a Mac 10.7.3
I can't view the print queue. The printer never appeared in Manager devices, only the scanner and copier. No problem with them, but I would like to see the printer. I found the location of the print queue in the system preferences, but when I click Open print queue, nothing happens. I know that there is a long queue because when I try to print something, I get an old document instead.
I just want to remove the queue and know how quickly any time, it is needed. HP sells a lot of ink for me to print the things I don't want!
Thanks for your help.
Reset the printing system:
-Go to System Preferences > print & Scan
-Right (or control) click in the rectangle listing your printers and select Reset Printing System.
WARNING - This will remove ALL your printers!
-Select the sign more to add a printer. Select the default tab on the top of the window. Search for the printer, select it, and then beside the dropdown 'Use', select the model of the printer (not AirPrint). Wait for the 'Add' button becomes available. Until it clicks.

I need to know more information about what is happening here to start. It seems that you are experiencing printing problems, but I can't get a lot of information that you presented. All the information show me is that the file could not be accepted by the print job. I'm going to need to know what it is that you print file type and size, the program you are printing the form, if you are still able to print other documents from other programs, how long it lasts and any other relevant information.
Departure, we will perform the two resets in this video:
http://www.YouTube.com/watch?v=31TbWMrTaFk
Then, if you use a USB cable, make sure to remove (this is important). Do not plug it in again until the software instructs you. Through devices and printers, programs and features and issues Device Manager and make sure that all copies, files, and programs related to the printer are removed. As indicated, and then restart the computer. -
Printing win 7 guest, the printer queue maintains a loop and increases the size of the file
Hi all
That are running Windows 7 enterprise and on another professional machine, same results:
I share a "laser" on the USB printer, the printer works very well under windows prgms... (all as administrator)
Open CMD window:
"net use LPT2: \\hp1\laser / persistent: Yes" command complete and looks good in "Net view \\hp1".
Now, I open the print queue window and try printing a text file:
"print test.txt > lpt2" command appears to complete. (Same results for copy, etc.)
I now see the file appear in the print queue, flashing, saying: rolling/printing, repeating & loop, and each Flash increases the size of the file!
I tried to change the Port LPT1 and 3
Nothing prints, because I have to stop the spooler, delete the file, start the spooler to clear.
What happens on two different machines, I'm totally stuck!
Help appreciated!

Nothing goes in an IPP print queue
I connected to a printer through IPP. I can view and manage the remote queue. But when I try to print with the IPP printer newly connected, I don't see anything in one of the print queues: my local PC, on the website of the printer or on the queue on the server. Is there something I need to do to print via the IPP printer?
Customer's Windows 7 SP1
Print server is Windows 2003 R2 with IIS and installed IPP
Firewall is port 137, 138, 139, 445 80 open for traffic to the print server

Failed to delete document of network print queue.
We print to a HP LaserJet 5 using Windows XP. 2 positions are hanging in the print queue. Tried to remove Control Panel command several times and it shows just "deleting - printed" and "removal - print" in the State. They have been here since yesterday, and we can not print around them. When I try to delete from the printer itself, it shows no jobs in the queue. I saw another post on the forum on this topic who advised to go to the print spooler, which I did, but then couldn't run the second half of the suggestion to go to the print jobs. It is a network printer. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you! The problem was that I had to go to the file server to perform this function - my brain wasn't getting this fact. It worked - thank you very much for your help.

4508 ENVY: ENVY 4508 firefox launched the print job hangs in the print queue
Hello
We have a desire 4508 connected via wifi to a laptop 10 (x 64) Windows.
We downloaded and installed the latest drivers available on HP and printers generally LibreOffice, WordPad or Firefox (normal web pages).
But there is a situation when printing fails and we do not know why: If we try to print accounting information for the bank account, the print job is displayed in the windows printer queue but it stucks and blocks the other print jobs. The only way to get the printer to work is once again the restarting the printer spool service and removal of the print job in the queue (which sounds easier than it is actually...).
We already ran this 'Doctor Print' application provided by HP, but it helps not at all.
Is this a known issue?
Is it related to the driver or more likely a problem of the web page in question / feel?
How can I get more information about what exactly is going wrong?
Thanks in advance.

When Internet Explorer finishes restoring the settings, click Close, and then click OK.
Close Internet Explorer.
Reset the settings of your Firefox browser

- Find the print.print_printer preference (Note: this preference is missing in Firefox profiles where you have never used the printer.)
- Right-click (context-click) this preference and select reset. (Some users may have to reset all the preferences of print.printer for a particular printer, if this master preference reset does not solve the problem.)

HP 5530: HP 5530 won't delete print queue after printing
5530 HP printer prints a work, but will leave the job in the printer queue. It will not print another job, until it is removed from the queue manually. How can I get the job to remove from the queue automatically once it is printed?
Hello @G556,
Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!
I understand that you are experiencing print queue problems when you print to your HP ENVY 5530 e-all-in-one printer from your Windows 7 computer. I would like to help you to solve this problem today. Now, this question can go down to a conflict between your printer and computer driver or a problem on your computer Windows print spooler. The print spooler is the printing system built into Windows operating systems. It controls the printing for sending to printers. If there is a problem with the print spooler, you may notice different conflicts of impression.
To begin, please can I you click here to run the Microsoft Fix it Tool. Once the site opens, under (2) select "Print, fax, scan, share and save. Then, under (3) select 'diagnose and automatically fix problems printing and printer'. Select run now. Once you have downloaded the tool, please follow the instructions on the screen to run the FixIt tool. If there is no print or print spooler system issues this Microsoft Tool should fix it for you.
If the problem persists, please can I you click here to download HP Print and scan of the doctor tool. This tool will be "difficult to print" questions for you. Any connection or software driver conflict must be detectable as printing HP and the doctor analysis tool will attempt to resolve these conflicts for you.
Please reply to this message with the result of your troubleshooting. I look forward to hear from you!

I just bought a HP Envy 4500 printer,
When you attempt to print from a PC with windows 7 OS home pro (64-bit), the print job appears in the queue and then disappears, but the printer does not print anything.
Everything else seems to work very well know
- The printer prints the internal test page
- The printer does print when you use iPad2
- The printer does print when you use ePrint
- The PC recognizes and communicates with the printer (tried with USB connections and wireless)
- Analysis feature works very well - when initiated from the PC and printer
I tried
- uninstalling and reinstalling the software (several times using software from different sources)
- restart the printer queue service
- Disabling the firewall
- running printing HP and doctor Scan
- following the instructions described here (the question is the same but the different operating system):
Print jobs disappear from the print queue and print (Windows 8)
- combinations of all of the above
Absolutely no joy in any of them, and in spite of more than 2 hours of research on Google and forums search I can't find a solution.
HP... can you give me a solution or is that goes back to the shop?
Well I finally worked on the fix myself by trial and error. I changed the security settings for 'All' and 'Creator owner' to 'Print' and "Administer Documents". Why on earth they were not automatically allowed as part of the installation, I couldn't really say.
Hope this helps someone else with a similar problem.

I have a 5520 Photosmare. I tried to delete a file in the print queue, it does not however remove watch as "suppression." It crashes me other files to print.
Hello
From the desktop, hold down the Windows key and press R. In the run window, type services.msc and press to enter. Scroll down to the print spooler service, right click and select Properties, then click the Stop button. Now search for C:\Windows\System32\Spool\PRINTERS, then delete the work inside this folder - you may need to click a command prompt to get the authority to open the PRINTERS folder.
Restart the computer and you should find that the document has been deleted.
Kind regards
