    Hey Ern,

Thanks for posting your query in Microsoft Community.

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing and will certainly help you in the right direction to solve the problem. However, I would be grateful if you could answer a few questions to refine the question in order to provide you with better assistance.

    1. You made any hardware or software changes the computer recently?
    2. You have a wired or a wireless connection?
    3. You have a router connected to the computer?

The question could arise if it is missing or damaged Internet Explorer files that the display of the script on the page or if the Hosts file is damaged or contains incorrect information. To resolve this problem, I would suggest trying the following methods and check if the problem persists.

    Method 1:

Try to start the system in safe mode and check if the number is reproduced. If this isn't the case, then clean the computer starts and check if that helps.

    Step 1:

Safe mode is a diagnostic mode in which you are connected with only the minimal necessary services and active pilots. Check if the number is reproduced.

Start your computer in safe mode

Note: In the advanced startup options, select safe mode with network .

    Step 2:

Put your system to the clean boot state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. You must follow the steps in the article mentioned below to perform a clean boot.

Note: See "how to reset the computer to start normally after a boot minimum troubleshooting" to prepare the computer to start as usual after a repair.

If the problem persists, try the following method.

    Method 2:

Read the following article and check if it helps.

Get help with the Web site (HTTP error) error messages.

If the problem persists, try the following method.

    Method 3:

    1. Go to Start, click all programs and open the Accessories.
    2. Right-click on command prompt in the list programs, and then select run as administrator. If you are prompted for an administrator password or for confirmation, type your password, click OK, or alternatively click on Yes.
    3. In the command prompt, type the following commands and press ENTER after each command:
      ipconfig/release
      ipconfig/renew ipconfig/flushdns
    4. Close the command prompt and restart the system.

See if the problem is resolved.

If it is not resolved, follow these steps if you are connected to a router.

    1. It turn off, unplug, unplug it and wait 5-10 minutes.
    2. Shut down the computer.
    3. Wait 5 - 10 minutes.
    4. Reconnect the router, restart the router and don't plug it in yet.
    5. Start your computer, connect to Windows and connect the router to the computer.
    6. Try to connect to the Internet.

If the problem persists, try to update the firmware on the router, you can get this update from the manufacturer's Web site.

  • "Cannot use adobe reader to view PDFs in your web browser" error in Windows 7 and Acrobat pro 8.1.7

I get the error 'cannot use adobe reader to view PDFs in your web browser.  Player will now stop.  Please exit your browser and try again"in Windows 7 x 32 and Windows 7 x 64 with Acrobat pro 8.1.7.  This occurs when you try to open a PDF file in Internet explore 8.0.760 or when I open a PDF file in Quickbooks 2008.  If I answer ok or cancel, the file opens normally.  If I open acrobat 8 first of all and then the pdf file opens as expected.  I also tried a copy of Acrobat reader, with no difference in the result.  Because this happens on two different computers a new copy of windows 7 x 64, the other, an upgrade to windows 7 x 32 and they used to work before moving to windows 7, I guess that there is some sort of incompatibility with windows 7 and acrobat.  Is this a known problem and will be fixed in an update to acrobat in the near future?

For Windows 7 you will need Adobe Acrobat 9.1.

  • How do I view PDF files?

How to view PDF and downlads files?  When I try, Windows 7 opens the multimedia player.  I don't want to watch TV, I want to see my son's lunch menu!

The usual, free program is the Adobe Acrobat reader software, but let me suggest that you install one, better Foxit, here http://download.cnet.com/Foxit-Reader/3000-10743_4-10313206.html

Just be aware of Add-ons, when you install it, i.e. to remove ticks of Ask, etc..

  • Preview pane does not not for PDFs in Windows 8

I can't view the pdf files from the preview pane in Windows 8.   I just upgraded to Vista, where he still works on my system.   Now when I click on a file to pdf, the preview pane has a message that says "this file cannot be previewed."   In addition, I can't view pdf attachments in Outlook (I use Office 2010) as I have in Vista.  I get a message that says "this file cannot be previewed because of an error with the following outline generator: PDF Preview Handler for Vista."  The preview pane and preview generator Outlook work with Office programs and text files.

    How can I fix it?

If you have installed Adobe reader software (Adobe Reader XI, this is what I got). You must confirm as the 'default PDF Manager' software Adobe reader for WIndows 8.

That's what I did to display PDF content in the Preview Panel.

    1. Open Adobe Reader XI

    2. Go to Edition-> Preferences

    3. In the Preferences window, select "General" categories on the left panel.

    4. Click on 'Select default PDF Manager' down.

    5. When the "User Account Control" dialog box appears, click 'yes '.

    6. Click 'OK' when you are in the windows preference.

    7. Close the software Adobe Reader XI.

And now you should be able to display PDF in the Preview Panel.

The page contains instructions to launch an existing customer of the view and a link to a download page to the VMware.com website that contains a client compatible with the detected operating system version.

  • essay on Acrobat and I can't to view PDFs without buy acrobat

I don't know how to get rid of the guest to buy Acrobat now that my trial is over.  Whenever I try to view a PDF file, I get a window asking me to buy Acrobat... can't use the standard Adobe version, as I have once.  Help, please!

    Hi doveag,

Before you download the demo, use Adobe Reader to view PDF files? If so, you should always have the Reader on your computer. You just need to make sure that you open and not Acrobat, when you want to view your PDF files.

  • Cannot open or view PDF files after you install the latest version

I downloaded the latest version of Adobe Reader I can view PDF files in Explorer, save documents in Word and PDF, however when I try to open a PDF file to read or print Adobe Reader opens but does not show the file, it appears to freeze, then the program closes automatically.

If you are on Windows (which you didn't), you can try Windows Explorer, navigate to C:\Program Files (x 86) \Adobe\Reader 11.0\Reader, and then double-click Eula.exe and accept the license agreement.

The new Firefox integrated PDF viewer will not render gradients-shadows created in Adobe InDesign. He replaces it with a gray flat area - any shape he's sitting behind. Y at - it a fix for this problem?

The current versions of Firefox have allowed a built-in PDF Viewer that has all of the features that other PDF as Adobe Reader readers have or can not work properly otherwise.

You can change the action for Portable Document Format (PDF) to Preview in Firefox to use Adobe Reader software or set always ask in "Firefox > Preferences > Applications.

You can set the pref pdfjs.disabled true on the topic: config page to disable the build-in the PDF Viewer.

Previously, when I typed on an attachment in the Mail application I could see it. Now, it downloads an image of the first page (which means that I don't even have the option to open in a pdf reader. All other types of attachments can be previewed as always (including pictures and spreadsheets.

This happens also to some extent in other email applications, but the behavior is different - sometimes it is just an image, sometimes the entire pdf downloads but opens on a placeholder indicating "PDFReader File", because of its size, on a gray background. At least I can then open it in another application. Applications that behave in this way are Outlook, shipping and air mail.

Spark works as we - I can view pdf within the spark files without opening in another drive.

I tried to remove spark, in case that was the issue, but nothing has changed.

All pdf readers are normally (Expert PDF and Documents). I tried to remove the material because it was a recent installation, but it also makes no difference.

This happens on iOS that I use and my husband 6 and iPhone devices.

What I noticed in the mail when I type to download the iBooks fleetingly icon appears and I wonder if it has something to do with it.

I tried a few other things, looked into the settings, rebooted etc etc, but nothing helped. He has only started a couple of weeks so wonder if something is introduced in the last update.

Thanks a lot if you can offer any advice or next steps.

    3. Select: Open with on the shortcut menu.
    4. click on: choose [default] program.
