Violation of CPD watchdog error

Hello

Whenever my computer wakes from sleep, or after I closed the computer I get an error of violation of CPD watchdog. Then I have to restart my computer several times before I can actually use it.
I tried running windbg without success. I get error module unkonw.
If someone could help me, understand me what is causing the blue screen, it would be great!

One of the minidump files had a damaged however the last file referenced minidump Windows the storport.sys driver module and the storage the list nvstor.sys NVIDIA driver.

Can you open up Windows Update and "Check for updates".

Are there optional updates available for the storage NVIDIA controller?

Also, Avast has been known to cause blue screen problems in some configurations so I would say to uninstall Avast and just use firewall and antivirus integrated Windows 8 (Windows Defender).

Also, you can run the following two applications just to see if they do anything:

    Hi friends,

    I'm reposting this question.

I'm facing serious problems because of my laptop crashing.

It shows the BSOD with error DPLC WATCHDOG VIOLATION as much as 3 - 4 times a day.

This problem has increased in recent weeks. my laptop freezes and crashes randomly.

    It affects my work.

Please provide a solution for this keep in mind that I want to avoid the upgrade of my Windows OS 8.1 because it increases this problem and adds a lot of other problems, such as the fall of wifi, bluetooth works now correctly, the fan rotates to continuously at high speed (even if no applications such as games or videos etc. are currently running).

I think that these well enough below, error messages describe what cause your system to hang and eventually crash. I also believe that Quick Heal AntiVirus plays a role which is not registered in these messages, based on the experience of similar questions I being debugged.

  • Windows 8 How can I solve violation of CPD watchdog

Hi everyone I have this violation of watchdog of dpc error or problem

I have no anti virus I use windows defender
    Here's my minidump files
    Thank you

Of course, it's a driver problem.  Please run the Driver Verifier to find what's wrong to behave

    2. Driver Verifier
Using Driver Verifier is a dubious proposition. Most of the time it will crash and it will tell you what is the driver.

But sometimes it will crash and will not tell you the driver.
Sometimes it will crash until you can connect to Windows. If you can't mode without failure, then you will have to resort to editing the registry offline to disable driver verifier.
I suggest that you first back up your data and make sure you have access to another computer so you can contact us in case of problems.
Then do a system restore point (so you can restore the system using the functionality of Vista/Win7 Startup Repair).

    Here is the procedure:

Click Start and type "auditor" (without the quotes) and press enter
Select 'Create a custom settings (for code developers)' and click 'Next' (or Type "check/standard/all" (without the quotes) If you want to check each of them (this will slow down your computer))

Choose "Select custom settings from a full list" and click "Next".
Select the entire document except for "Low resource Simulation" to win 8 do not check concurrency stress test and the verification of the conformity of DDI, click "next".
Select "Select driver names from a list", then click "next".
Select all drivers that are NOT provided by Microsoft, and then click "Next".
On the next page, select "Finish".
Restart the system and wait as he crashed to blue screen.
Continue to use your system normally and if you know what are the causes of the crash, do it several times. The objective here is to get the system crash because Driver Verifier is stressing out the drivers. If it is not planted for you, then let it run for at least 36 hours of continuous operation.
If you are unable to Windows because it crashes too early, try safe mode.
If you can't mode without fail, try to use the system from the installation DVD restore to bring the system back to the previous point of restoration that you created.

Hi all... My laptop HPn201ax is not displayed after the DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION. It just starts and the caps lock continues to Flash without any screen. I had installed Comodo internet security before the error... Help me please...

Thank you for visiting the Forums HP's Support and welcome. I read your thread on your HP Pavilion Notebook 15-n201ax and have a display of error messages.  Here is a link to enter in safe mode.

If you can access the safe mode, you can try a system restore. It shows you how to do this in the judgment Re 18: Advanced options with the start selected in this document settings. You can restore the computer on until you had the question.

  • Windows 8 will not start, violation of CPD watchdog, freezes on login/black screen with no cursor.

I'm in my intelligence ends right now haha.

In December, I bought a PC mainly for gaming
basic specifications are: GTX 770 2 GB
    Intel i7 4770 k
    16 GB of ram
I use windows 8 - and it happens when I start my pc I get the screen of the bios/Mo to be greeted with a black screen or a frozen login screen which then proceeds to a BSOD with error DPC_WATCHDOG_VIOLATION.
I solved this problem several times but he returns
The first time that it was because of windows download old graphics drivers through automatic updates, so there was a pilot clash and windows wouldn't load, so I fixed that by just go into safe mode and uninstall said drivers. It happened again a week later, but had automatic updates and had not downloaded a new software/firmware...
So I did the same thing once again, just uninstall some drivers and everything was going well until I tried to restart my computer and just again got the bsod...
Could this be something else? SSD firmware? Device Manager indicates its up-to-date.
Something more - my integrated gpu does not work (screen does not receive a signal) if it seems a little suspicious.
I cannot uninstall the nvidia drivers (which seem to be the problem) and therefore can not solve my problem.
ANY help appreciated. Knowing me I am probably missing something super base hehe

  • CPD Watchdog Violation BSOD

I get the BSOD with error Violation of CPD watchdog for a few days now on my computer running Windows 8.  I searched and read a bunch of other posts related to this error, and there seems to be a very broad error message.  Because of what I was doing at the time of accidents, installation of games (WoW & TERA) and streaming video, I thought it might be a updated driver for my wireless card but after updating that and the driver LAN for the mobo, I always get the BSOD.  I posted a link to the file the last crash on skydrive below minidump and my less than system characteristics.

I just installed Windows 8 Pro four days ago on my new PC (two months) that came with Windows 7.  I randomly get the blue screen with Violation of CPD watchdog, and the PC restarts.  It is very frustrating and never had this problem with Windows 7.

Also, on my desk, get Ezupdt window warning and I was wondering if it is related?

    Hello world

Problem solved.  My free version of AVG 2012 was the root cause of the problem.  I was able to get a free through Microsoft consultation as my warranty period of Windows 8 is still valid (less than 90 days).

Time AVG has been removed, the problem has gone.

Unfortunately, there is nothing conclusive in these dumps, bar a few tips here and there for us in the right direction, but we can take some measures that can help solve the problem.

    1. update your BIOS.

    Caution:

BIOS update should be made only if necessary (to solve a compatibility problem, for example). It can be a complicated process, and if an error occurs, your computer could be rendered inoperative. Be sure to observe the instructions of the manufacturer.

    2. Update Windows 8.1.

You have an external VGA video card Multi monitor adapter USB 3.0 to installed? If you do, please make sure that it is installed correctly and working properly.

If you continue to crash, please run the Verifier (DV) according to the instructions in the link below.

Note: Be sure to read and remember the steps to reset the DV in case of crash and post a link to the newly generated crash dump here.

  • CPD Watchdog Violation when connecting to Internet

I just built a new computer and I had a problem with the connection to the Internet.

After you have installed the network adapter and the drivers that come with the CD I have connected to my home network.  It worked for maybe a minute or two, but then my computer would freeze for maybe about 5 seconds then blue screen with the message «Violation of Watchdog DPC»  This happens whenever I try to connect to the Internet.

As far as I know all my drivers are up to date, as I installed them directly from disks accompanying parts.

I don't have any installed programs other than the stuff that comes with Windows and some drivers.
