Photosmart C5180: incompatible software in Apple

Software C5180 works Windows 10 or even 8.   Load printer Apple and I only get gray Marro versions of coloue photos.   Change cartridges, went through the "add printer" auto Apple Imac and not display.  Back on Windows and and it prints correctly.

Contacted Apple and they say "Contact HP" but that's what I get without the oofer to buy a new printer. Done too, but in the old printer quality is superior.   Oh 'brother', etc.

Update!

I ignored the Apple method or the loading/updating software.  Searched the site of HP and finally found a way to load the software direct from them instead.  Amazing... my old printer (better) now works.

Just shows you that when an older printer is involved, it does not always follow that Apple are up to date.

  • El Capitan equip Kindle app incompatible software folder

Ten days ago, I updated from a MacBook Pro (Yosemite) 5.5 to a MacBook Pro with El Capitan 10.11.6 9.2. Today, I got the hang of the judgment where the dock is still visible for too long. One application I just used was Kindle for Mac 1.16.0 so I looked in the Applications folder. It seems that El Capitan has moved the Kindle app to an incompatible software folder. I'm still capable of running the Kindle. I can't find any information online with Apple, Amazon, or 3rd - party sites on such popular application why put in this folder, or what it means for the application to be in this folder or how to solve the problem. Anyone had a similar experience?

You must update the application to the latest version. Simply re-download from here where you initially.

    Hello numuc95.

I guess that the printer is installed network? Have you tried to install the printer with a USB cable? This seems to work best for access to the card reader.

If you can not install with USB, look at this link to see if it helps:

    Thank you for your reply,

To uninstall the software, click Start and click on run in execution type folder window and click OK. This will open the Temp folder, in the eyes of temporary folder for the folder that starts with open 7Z file 7Z and then open the Utils folder and then open the CCC folder and double click on Uninstall_L4.bat and this will start the uninstallation process. Once this completed, please restart the computer and check.

If this isn't the case, be sure to first disconnect the USB port.

Enter the control panel > devices and printers.

  • HP Photosmart C5180 - Windows 7 64 bit - network - device detected but FAIL to install.

    Hello

I have a Photosmart C5180, connected with an ethernet (not usb) cable.

It's great to work with all the computers in the House (vista and xp).

But my new computer, a 64-bit windows operating system 7, impossible to install the drivers:

The drivers are now installed, but the step 'add a device' does not work correctly.

After the analysis of network, the printer is displayed:

Then I click Next, to "network analysis":

OK, next step is "installation." Before the picture, it says 'detected printer"(french).

And a few seconds after it fails:

    Grrrr wtf?

    Thanks for the help!

I had problems to install the HP software. When I installed the full package I get pop ups and error messages. So I did a complete reinstall (I have now if he really had to do I had other issues). After that I just installed the drivers and no extras and it works very well. I'm also hooked using the ethernet connection. A point even before the reinstall if I come you drivers and no additional software. I can still scan using Windows Fax and Scan. I probably will not add extra software until there is another version.

H E L P!  I don't know what to do now.  I tried to install the downloaded file, AIO_CDS_Net_full_Win_WW_130_140 on HP site.  My operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit.   I need to get this working today and need complete instructions on what and how to do this fix.

mrsjeffyg, I recommend that you completely uninstall the printer from the computer. Make sure that all copies of the printer and the associated files are removed from programs and features, the Manager of devices, and the devices and printers. If you are connected with a USB cable, make sure that the cable is removed from the printer for the duration of the present.

Click START and type "%temp%" and press ENTER. This will open the temporary folder, and I want that you delete all the files that you can here. Some will not be able to be deleted, so ignore these files.

    Restart your computer.

Follow this link here and reinstall it from the Full_Feature Driver and software.

  • Wireless laptop cannot connect to Photosmart C5180 printer on network

I recently got a new computer, which is the main connection to our home network.  We have a laptop and a Photosmart C5180 printer.  I can't get the wireless laptop to connect to the printer, even though I have the shared printer on the pc.  I have the printer connected to the pc via a USB cable.

I see the printer shared and available on the laptop, but get the error message when you try to print.

Does anyone know what I'm missing that will allow me to print from wireless laptop?  It worked until I'm the new pc, so I know I'm missing something.  Should the laptop have both installed printer software/drivers?

Yes, the printer directly connected to a router with an Ethernet cable will be the simplest solution.

Yes, all computers will be able to access the printer on the network as long as they are connected to the same router (Ethernet or wireless, regardless).

He shared from the computer and the printer connected to a computer with a USB cable are not a real printer on a network.  This creates what is essentially a print server and the computer with the USB connection manages the interaction of this printer with all the devices on the network.

A USB connected printer sharing can be done, but it's a lot more work that the printer is connected to the router with an Ethernet cable.

It's really a lot more work to set up the printer with a printer shared over a network connection USB method true when it comes to do this with Windows 7.

Windows XP made it incredibly simple, but he was not very secure on a network.  With Windows XP, all you had to do was to share the printer, and then install it on another computer.

With Windows 7 on both computers, you must configure a homegroup, enable file sharing and printers (disabled by default), share the printer and install the printer on the computer client / remote.  In addition, this method will require the host to be on anytime for remote printing machines.

The printer is connected to the router with a Ethernet means that the functionality of the printer depends solely on the router being on (most are on 24/7).  Computers will print regardless of the other computer either on or off.  There should be a shorter time in the impression that a computer is responsible for printing rather than two computers.

Again, I will be more than happy to help you set up with the method USB shared with two Windows 7 computers if that's what you want.  You find that it is much easier to use the Ethernet connected method to be simpler and more efficient to print well.

If you want, here's a little more information from Microsoft on sharing a printer between two units of Windows 7.

    Setting up a homegroup

Activate the file & printer sharingand sharing the printer on a Windows 7 computer

As long as the printer & file sharing is enabled and two Windows 7 computers are in the same group of residential, you should be able to use the USB share method.  Without these two two options being Setup, it simply does not work with two Windows 7 systems.

  • Photosmart C5180 will print does not correctly on Mac OS 10.8.4

    Hi all

My hp Photosmart C5180 works fine with Mac OS X 10.7.4. Now, after replacing my old Mac with a new, the scanner works but the printer prints only a few lines, never the entire page. This occurs when you send the document to print Word 2011 and preview. I deleted and added the C5180, without success. I also tried the software update option, but there is nothing new here. Next step would be to try to remove the software from all the hp and reinstall... What is my best option?

Thanks in advance for our help :-)

  • Scan driver for HP Photosmart C5180 all-in-One

I recently replaced my hard drive and while my printer (HP Photosmart C5180 All-In-One) works fine, I have no more scanning software. When I insert the installation disk I get a message saying that the software is not compatible with Vista (Home Premium). All I can find on the site of HP's software driver. • Photosmart C5180 duplexer installed Q5582 cannot select the automatic mode

I recently installed a duplexer Q5582A on my Photosmart C5180. Tried to select Auto Duplex but only manual available.

    • Windows 7
    • updated printer driver
    • Under printer properties, device settings, options installation, no fall to the bottom/duplex available to choose from.

    Any help is appreciated.

    Hello

The C5180 provides all the features of automatic duplex printing, part Q5582A is only for templates that are specific, not including the C5180 model.

I'm afraid that such a device is not supported by the software or firmware of the printer

You can find any part available for the C5180 listed below:
