Virgins of the nodes and describe queries

I can't do a post containing my problem. I get a message that "due to the size, this content is blocked".

When I removed the examples, it worked. I don't know what triggered your spam filter example. I hope that the text below is the logic even without examples.

-Try again here: deletion of all examples. .

On other implementations of the SPARQL Protocol, (i.e. Jenas TDB), a DESCRIBE query returns a container model.

1. the subject resource

2. all the resources related to the subject to any property.

3. If the resource found in (2) is an empty node, repeat (1) with this node empty as a subject.

Except if: to describe this blank node has been done before.

This ensures that the empty nodes are useful when using describe. If this is not the case, the resulting model is useless. For example, we get the following response (omitted prefixes)

< removed >

As you can see, the restrictions on complex OWL, who uses the empty nodes are omitted.

The same query using SEM GAME gives me, among other things, this line:

< removed >

I know that we can use this to create a PL/SQL method that produces iteratively a series of triples by following the bnodes, but I trust Oracle on myself to write this function effectively.

Is this something you're aware and fixing, or will the task fall to me?

BR,

Morten

Hi Morten,

This problem has been fixed. Please check that the SR. Jorge has already updated it.

Thank you

  • Using asynchronous calls in a while loop. How 'Skip' node and only retrieve data as it is treated

Maybe I'm not understand asynchronous calls... but I thought I should be able to call one another VI and essentially 'jump' it is the node and only receive data as the called VI treats.  In other words, similar to the Run of VI, I can wire a wait until done? with a fake and the main VI will not wait for the other VI end of race.  The main VI continues to function, and when it passes the called node of the VI, it will receive data if it happens to be there.

How can I call a VI in a while loop and do not wait so he could spit out the results?  Data flow is my enemy on this one...

The first VI treats its own figures (using the iteration count) and displays them on the PC.  Other indicators are the data of the called VI.  I want to be able to work around the blue circle node and receive data only that it will be available.

Any help is appreciated.  Thank you.

What I said OR the 'Start asynchronous call' is the preferred method for starting background tasks. This call is usually used to run background tasks. For example, you have a process of journal. When your application starts it would use the "asynchronous call Start" to start the process of journal and then move on to the other stuf. The process of the journal would then happily run in the background and the main application is free to do other things. Of course when implementing these types of systems you need a way to coordinate things like exit. This is where the queues and stuff come it.

  • Node property/reference for the image and 'Create VI' inconsistent control?

    Hello

I encountered this problem several times already and although I have worked around him, so far, I would really like to understand what is it:

If I have an image display control on the Panel before (IMAQ Vision, not the image control type) and drag a property node or a reference to it on the block diagram, it seems impossible to create a Subvi diagram if the selected objects are equipped with a knot of property image or an image reference. Select 'Create Subvi' won't do anything, don period. No warning, no beep system, no nothing.

A related issue is that if I have a view control reference on the diagram and try to create a control from it (for example to use as a control on one dimension of connector VI entry), same thing, "Create control" will not do anything.

    Why is this?

    Thanks for your comments.

    X.

    Xavier,

This was reported to R & D (35835) for further investigations. A possible workaround is to make the Subvi LabVIEW 7.1 and open it in the new version of LabVIEW.

    Hi alioscia,.

For all of these measures, you probably better off using an NI WSN-3226 if you want to measure all parameters in one place. You can use a shunt resistor and apply the Ohm's law to calculate the measure 4-20mA.

  • Threading and reuse of the node to call using reference of buffers (of the required adhesive tape)

I tried to get the following information in the public domain for years and now that I have the answers, I'll share with those who might be interested.

    Caveat!

Wrap your head in tape before reading just for the sake of security.

    My two questions were;

    (1) may LV re - use tampons of VI calling when you use VI serve call by reference?

    (2) is used when the use of call by reference UI thread?

1 when you call a VI using the call through the reference node, the data in the pane of the copied or is node connector - this online as it would be with a Subvi properly implemented?

Short answer: it's somewhere between the two.

    Long answer:

The compiler does not know what will be called VI, but there a hint:

the reference connected to the node of the call by reference. He uses to get the 'Prototype' for the call. Therefore, for optimal performance, use a prototype that has the same 'characteristics placeness' as it is called VI. That said, users don't know what are the "characteristics of the placeness.

Before getting into the details, I will say that the overhead of these copies should not matter much unless it's a large data structure (a table with lots of items.) or a cluster/class with many fields or containing large networks etc..

    Example 1:

If the prototype does not change the data, then the compiler assumes that the crux of the call by reference will not alter the data. However, at runtime, a check is made to see if the real called VI will modify the data. If Yes, then a copy is made and past so that the original data can be modified.

    Example 2:

If the prototype contains an entry that is wired through an exit so that both input and output terminals can use the same buffer memory, but running an audit determines that the real called entry and exit VI do not share a buffer, then a copy will be made from output of the actual call to the original screws (combined input and output) buffer.

I should also mention that, even with this behavior "are trying to get along with the prototype", it is not always possible to obtain good performance as a Subvi ordinary call. For example, if you have a situation where the prototype does not change the data and passes it through to an exit and then the compiler must assume that the data is changed (because, as in example 2, there are screws that may change even if the called real VI is not).

And there are a few caveats:

    (1) this behavior "using a prototype" was new for 2009. Before that, we used a method more naïve data of passage that took all the entries will be changed and no outputs don't share a buffer with an entry.

    (2) this behavior can be changed in future versions, if we find additional optimizations.

    (3) this behavior is the same that we use for the dynamic distribution live (when you use the classes in LV)

    (4) If you want to create a VI can be used as a prototype, you can use the features of the Structure in Place to control the "characteristics of the placeness', namely the element nodes in and out of the border, the function"Mark as modifier"border nodes (note the pencil icon on the item), and the node always one copy.

    (5) the prototype is only the first reference ever connected to the node of the call by reference. So if you make a new prototype VI, you can just make a reference out of it plug into the crux of the call by reference. I suggest to remove the node from the call by reference and file a new.

    (6) for remote calls, we still "making copies" by transmitting data over a network.

I hope that this helps, if you want information/clarification, so feel free to ask.

2 - is the call made by the reference to run in the user interface thread node? If the call is made by a remote machine via ethernet, thread that host (the computer that makes the call by reference) runs on and thread that executes the target (the machine that contains the file VI) on?

In the case of premises, the appeal made by the reference node does not require the user interface thread and may work in some thread the VI wants to run in.

When you call a remote VI, the appeal made by the reference node uses the UI thread (detailed below) on both the client and the server.

The client uses the UI thread to send the request to the server and there still when the response comes back. The user interface thread is not blocked during the time between the two.

The server receives the TCP message in the UI thread, and then starts the call to the UI thread. The server also uses the user interface thread to send the response to the client. The user interface thread is not blocked on the server during execution of the VI.

I hope that people find it when they need it!

  • problem to open and cancel a Subvi by invoking the node

    Hello

I have a Subvi, which is runing in a while loop and it's calculation that finished in a variable time. So I decided to add the abort function to invoke the node. This works perfectly when the Subvi is running by its own but gives an error.

1000 error to reference open VI
Possible reasons: LabVIEW: The VI isn't in a State compatible with this operation.

I found that there is a solution for this in the following link.

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/790AC75B07D971ED86256C53007BDCE9

So I added the Vi run invoke node in the main vi and abort VI invoke node in the Subvi

as in the following excerpt, but I still get the same error. Think you I'm missing?

    Eureka. I found it.

    It was very simple.

I just add the stop simulation in the simulation loop if time exceeds certain limits.

Anyway, thank you guys for helping me.

    See you soon,.

  • Make sure that wire you all the inputs and outputs of your node library function call?

This document says "make sure that wire you all the inputs and outputs of your node library function call.

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/WebSearch/7253D2F0D91F68058625752F005AB672?OpenDocument&submitted&&...

But all the terminals on the right side of the call library node considered "outputs" referred to in the foregoing statement?

This same document continues to show the right way to allocate memory with this illustration and in the illustration, the right "outputs" are left without junctions.

Am I right in assuming that the only terminals that count as outputs, those who use the code of the DLL (modify) as output?  If it is true, then all other terminals output associated with the values entered alone so don't really account as outputs, correct?

In the parameter call-library configuration screen there is a "Constant" check box and the help that he wrote "indicates whether the parameter is a constant."  What is this box? for me in the setup of the DLL call

Finally, assuming that a call from the DLL that is supposed to write in these five outputs, is it legitimate to use constants like this to book a space of memory for the output values?

How about if local variables associated with the output terminals are used instead?

Despite the linked document, it is necessary to connect the corresponding entry for simple scalar output parameters (for example a digital). LabVIEW automatically allocate memory for them. If you do not want the entries for all the output wire anyway, there should not be no difference between a constant and a local variable; I would use a constant to avoid useless local variables.

For settings that are only entries, there is not need to connect the outlet side. It's a bit simplistic since all parameters are entered only and get one result (other than the return value), you pass a memory address and modify the content to this address, but LabVIEW manages this dereferencing pointer for you. If you want to really get into the details, learn more about pointers in C.

The "Constant" check box acts as the qualifier "const" on a c function parameter. It tells the compiler that the function you are calling will not change this setting. If you call a function prototype includes a const parameter, then you must mark this as a constant parameter when you configure the call library function node. Otherwise, I wouldn't worry on this subject.

  • all the nodes property objects and objects grouped

    Hello

Now position an on my GUI objects in the center of the screen using nodes property. However, I don't want to have to have a node property for each decoration, image and control. Is it possible that I can group all the objects and then use a property node to position them? I tried to use the property node all objects, but none of the clues seem to apply to my group of objects.

    Help please!

    Thank you very much.

    John

p.s. I downloaded my vi test. The graph, the decoration and the exit button have been grouped. control over check.vi to set the object to be moved.

Tabbed pages are a great way to group objects GUI.

    Rather than use a decoration,

    • use a tab control
    • Delete everything except the first tab
    • Hide tab
    • The value of the proprties of the tab control and control on this page is move, hide, display as well as the tab control.

    I hope this helps,

    Ben

  • FPGA controls and indicators appearing is not in the node IO FPGA.

I don't know there is something simple, that I do not. I use the pure mode of FPGA on my sbRIO. I have several controls and indicators that I added to the FPGA code since the last compilation. I compiled the code and ran it again once or twice. However, the new controls and indicators do not appear as options in the FPGA to e/s nodes on the side of the RT. What is missing?

    Thank you!

    Hi Adrien,.

How you bind the host RT code to FPGA code?  It seems to me that you are accidentally linked to an earlier version of your FPGA code that does not include new controls/indicators that you are looking for.  Check the Open FPGA VI reference VI in RT to see if you're related to the FPGA VI, the right Specification to buildor latest Bitfile (xxxx.lvbitx).

If you link to the VI or the specification of the Build that you consistantly use to compile, you won't have to worry of re - bind your RT and FPGA VI after each compilation.  If you bind to the bitfile directly, you will need to update your RT references after each compilation at the last bitfile.

    Kind regards

  • distinguish between the indicator and controls using property nodes

How can I distinguish between controls and indicators property nodes?

I find that the controls and lights on the Panel before all come from the same class... a digital control and a digital indicator share the same properties... I am trying to find a way to distinguish between the two.  I would like to be able to analyse a reference VI pull only the references to the "controls" or "indicators" on the front panel... but when I try this, I shoot all...

Although I found this case a knot of property ' control value: get all ' referral of VI, I can choose between only indicator or only the values of the controls... it's close to what I want, but instead, I like to shoot only the references to the Group of the "indicators" or only the references to the groups 'controls '.

does anyone know if there is a simple way to do this?
