  Firstly, welcome to the boards

  I think that you would treat this like any other DMZ server.  I don't know how your complete installation is planned out but you have your public IP that is pointed to your firewall, I'm assuming and from there his translated into one IP private in the section of the DMZ of your network.  If this is the case, and for best security practices, you keep your dmz and production traffic unplug the same physical NIC, or less what we are doing.  If you have an esx/esxi host with a map of physical network connection to your dmz switch that goes to your firewall then configure that VM using the portgroup DMZ so there all of its traffic out the physical NETWORK adapter on the side of the demilitarized zone of the network.

  E.g. Your IP address public mail server is 67.1.1.1 and that is picked up by your firewall, firewall it translates an internal address of 192.168.3.1, you'd then your IP address inside the VM 192.168.3.1

  I hope that makes sense, and I don't know if it will work with your Setup or not...

  Hello, I have increased the paging files such minimum and maximum values suggested by various sources of help and my computer seems to be running a little faster, but negligible so. I also understand that moreRAM will help, however, I have the maximum RAM my laptop can take internally (256 MB). Is there such a thing asexternal RAM I can get to increase my RAM? I work withWindows XP Home Edition and I understand that I need a minimum of 256 MBRAM for my virtual memory to be ok. Verification ofRAM to my system , I see that I have 256 MB of RAM (physical memory), however, only about 10 MB ofRAM (physical memory) is available for use (I got this information from thesystem information tool). I don't know what that means. Should I have 256 MB ofRAM available for use for my virtual memory to be ok? My hard drive is 20 GB but I have about 0,6 GB of free space, so I think I have anexternal hard drive in order to have more space. Can get an external hard drive to upgrade my RAM? Any help

  Hi, I sympathise with your situation, but my answer may not be what you want here, even though I think you'll find credible and useful information (I have a degree in computer service technology (end of the 1980s, but I do not work in this area).)

  In the computing environment today with all web 2.0 and 3.0, sites which consist usually of a large number of graphics and flash type software, you must have much more memory...
  For simplicity, there are memories of basically two types that apply to your situation, and it is the RAM (to run your software as applications etc., then the memory of your hard drive (to do most of the work...)
  The computer, I am writing about this time is about five to seven years of age. He had 500MB of RAM when I bought it and 80 GB of hard drive memory. Then about two years ago I started to have virtual memory issues so I bought a stick of 1 GB of ram and installed what brought my RAM to 1.5 GB of ram and it took care of the issue of virtual memory. (I use a Dell Dimension 2400). I also bought a terabyte external drive to organize the future all downloads and transferred from the stuff that was on my computer on the external drive to free up some memory hard drive of my computer.
  Here are some points to remember and a recommendation or two. If you can, buy you a bar of RAM and install it... (instructions should come with the RAM on how to install it and you can also search the creator of computer Web site for assistance). It's a fairly simple process which consist essentially of find a connector available on your motherboard near where your already installed ram is located and pop in the newly purchased RAM stick. You should be able to get at least another stick of ram of 256 MB and this should help.
  You also have another problem, however, you indicate that you have seulement.6 GB memory hard drive of 20 GB. From my experience, when you use beyond the mark to halfway to the memory of your drive hard your computer can start to slow you down to the bottom of issues.
  20 GB hard drive is not really much memory in standard today for the internet. If I was buying a computer today, I would get at least a terabyte of disk hard memory (and at the very least, the computer should have at least 500 GB memory hard drive). You could probably make it thereby half, but I mainly throw these numbers out there so you can get some perspective on how just 20 GB is not get it for the internet today, especially if you use your laptop or desktop (20 GB might be great for palm pilot but even these computer really little, I forgot the name off the coast of the hand have more than 20 GB...)

  I have a fairly "plain vanilla" VM with two virtual disks and wanted to move the vmdk to store one data to each other (for the bulk of local storage of a NAS connected to NFS).

  I think you forgot to copy the file descriptor, only copied the flat file... check this article: file vmdk copied from the command line cannot be found or used (1001987)

  Watch the plu folder a file called: ex - UA - 01_1.vmdk.

• My swap file corrupts always after reboot. How can I remedy this?

  I have Windows 7 Ultimate 64 - bit Edition with Service Pack 1, all the updates that are installed. For some strange reason, my pagefile always corrupts after restarting the computer and when I start Windows I always get Symptoms "low virtual memory". When I go to system preferences > advanced > Performance, the size of total paging for all readers file is empty and when I opened to change virtual memory settings, no paging file is enabled for my drive.

  I tried to boot into the recovery environment, unlocked my Bitlocker drive using my recovery key and by using the following commands:

  attrib - r - a s h c:\pagefile.sys

  del c:\pagefile.sys

  I also made sure using regedit in recovery mode there is no TempPageFiles value.

  System Restore is disabled, and I don't want to do a complete reinstall.

  I was able to boot into Windows without any problems whatsoever, but this only provides temporary relief from the problem. I have not anything with the installed AFS driver, so if someone could help me to get permanent relief from virtual memory issues, that would be greatly appreciated.

  Thank you very much for your answer. However, the display on the AFS driver that you can join in the links in the post you want to go to is not relevant to my situation. However, I found a post online via the Google search engine not great and wonderful in which only you have to do to the deactivation of the attributes on the pagefile.sys file, but you must also make a few changes to the permissions of this file too. When I restarted the computer after that I left the repair mode and I allowed my computer to start, and recreate the paging file, the problem seems to have disappeared as I have not experienced the symptoms of lack of memory.   Assuming that Windows OracleDBConsole (sid) service is up and running on your virtual machine, issue that you are facing might be a browser setting. Make sure you add https://hostname in trusted sites in Internet Explorer or have something similar done with Mozilla Firefox (if that's your preferred browser). After that, you will get a login screen.

• Low download speeds Internet Sophos UTM VM - but only the other virtual machines; Physical PC without issue

  So I have something very strange going on. I have a Dell custom host ISO on a Dell R310 ESX 5.5. My problem is that the Internet download is bad, but ONLY to other virtual machines. The Upload is normal physical computers.

  I currently have 4 virtual machines running:

  FreePBX, Win 2012 R2 Server, Sophos UTM (ISO VMware with the latest updates) and Win8.1 Ent.

  I have the following physical machines, I also used for testing:

  8.1 Win Office - wired

  Win portable 8.1 - wireless

  The lower test details, you can see on the image below.

  Iperf tests with 64 k window:
  Win Server 2012 to VM VM win 8 - 6.8Gbps <-VM VM good xfer
  Wireless Win 8.1 laptop to Win 2012 VM Server - 172Mbps <-VM to the well physical wireless
  Desktop 8.1 Win Win Server 2012 VM-619Mbps <-well wired VM
  
  Xfinity speed tests:
  Wireless laptop: 90Mbps down, 9Mbps place <-physical good Upload PC speed
  Wired Desktop laptop: 90Mbps down, 9Mbps place <-physical good Upload PC speed
  Win Server VM: 86Mbps down, place 0.6Mbps <-SLOW on VM!
  Win 8 VM: 90Mbps downwards, upwards 0.6Mbps <-SLOW on VM!
  
  As you can see in my tests, the only place the problem presented is VM to the internet. Physics to the internet works fine. My only thought is that there is something with the switch to the host or the MAC address.

  
  

  I don't think it's the Sophos Nic because it works very well from the physical to Sophos to Internet. I also have a ticket with Sophos Support; they look on the side of Sophos.

  I sent Wireshark packet capture of the Sophos support and they had this to say:

  The issue is a bad configversion.

  Using the last ConfigVersion (the real value of the ConfigVersion from the portgroup extraction) in ReconfigurePortgroup_Task worked well.
