Visa driver compatibility

I've updated from XP to Vista and need to install new drivers for a standard vga adapter graphis, Realtek RTL8101 Family PCI-E Fast Ethernet NIC (NDIS 6.0) and COMPAL embedded system control (at least that's what I think, because in my device manager, each of these elements have a! and the message I get is "unable to start") as a result , I have no internet so need to get the rigth inch drivers drive and then install on the Dell 10mc... What are the correct drivers for the latter?

http://support.Dell.com/support/downloads/index.aspx

Go to the Dell site at the link above > drivers and downloads Section > key in your the model number of the laptop computer > search for the latest drivers Vista > download/install them.

The computer you are using now that you have no Internet connection with the other > download / save drivers > copy them into Flash Drive > transfer / install on another computer/laptop.

See you soon.

    Hello

You can certainly use a disk Sata III since backward compatibility, but your motherboard only supports Sata II speeds.

  • GPIB-USB-HS shows no MAX after that I used the wizard NI VISA DRIVER

The first picture below shows the GPIB USB HS as shown in the software MAX and the other image shows no GPIB USB HS.

  • Session of visa driver looping issue

    Hello

This is the first time I ever install a loop with a session driver visa in it. I'm trying to recover a table of data flow. The indices of the table correspond to physical locations (x, y) on this point that I measure the flow. This is why I need the data to be read as a 5 x 7 of the stream array. The matrix 5 x 7 is collected 3 times (at 3 different heights z). However, I can't understand why I make three 6 x 7 matrices instead of a 5 x 7. I can't tell if it's my registry setup shift, where my visa session is implemented, etc. I just can't understand it.

Could someone looking at my code attached (it's quite simple, just 3 nested for loops with the session of visa inside, and that data are sent on to 3 matrices, which is then stripped more which can be ignored)

    Thank you very much

    Chelsea

First of all, I don't see a point in all the structures of the sequence.  What they do is create clutter.

Secondly, why you add the second to the last results to results together?  Here comes your additional index.  Get rid of this shift register and table construction.

  • I can't install VISA driver and driver USB GPIB on my PC with VISTA... help me...

I have LabVIEW7 and VISTA, it's ok, but I can't install the driver VISA and USB GPIB driver on my pc... it is necessary to connect my pc with instruments? Or LabVIEW7 have this files? Thank you

    Véronique.

LabVIEW 7 is not supported on Vista and the version of NI-VISA supplied with LabVIEW 7 is not supported. You can download the latest version of NI-VISA - I ALREADY GAVE the link for you.

  • VISA driver on the connection type unknown

I can't be the only person having this problem in LabVIEW and I have not worked on the solution.

Let's say for example I write a driver for a power supply, this device is off the shelf, but the manufacturer provided driver is *!

Instrument is connected through GPIB. in this case.

3 months later, I would like to re - use the driver but due to the implcations cost I can not have the flavor of the instrument GPIB and need the RS232 version, so I re - write the pilot so that all the functions of R/W are shrouded by a VI using the right process for the reading of serial ports if a RS232 device and repeat the initialization of the process too.

3 months later I get my hands on a USB version of the PSU - he uses the style GPIB code and does not take long to change.

    The question is this:

Is it all as anyone knows (alias VISA ignoring) that will allow me to determine the physical to the PSU from the PC connection, if someone changes and therefore to use the correct part of the code driver to initialize and communicate with the power supply.

Specifying the Intf Type is a fix SW for a HW problem that causes more problems if the connection is changed, how can I allow someone to use RS232/USB/GPIB and detect the connection type myslef in LabVIEW, before making a * IDN and the harbor onpen?

Thanks in advance for any ideas

    James

Have you looked at all the drivers NOR? The example of the expedition of the Agilent 34401 is sufficient. In the Initialize function, there is a test to see if the resource VISA is a serial port. The case statement for the true condition sets up the port. There is no other changes such as GPIB, USB connection or Ethernet works exactly the same way.

  • Impossible to install NI-VISA Driver under Windows 7

    Hi all

Software isn't exactly my strength, so I apologize if this question is badly phrased or trivial.

I am trying to use NI-VISA 4.6 to create a driver for a USB mouse.  My ultimate goal is to read the RAW files positional USB rather than read the position of the mouse on the screen.  This way, I will be able to use the mouse to measure distance without having to worry about the cursor passes at the edge of the screen.  My VI will work pretty much along the lines of this one, which was kindly donated by Intaris on this thread.

I'm running in the driver installation problems, that I created with most of the time described NI-VISA here.  I created the driver .inf and copied in C:\Windows\inf.  Since I am on Windows 7, I copied the Vista driver rather than the driver for earlier versions of windows (another user on the tutorial I linked above says it worked).  I chose my .inf file and clicked "install" from the menu drop-down of the right button of the mouse.  I received a message the first error while I tried saying that the driver was not checked and proceed in any case.  No .pnf file was created in the inf folder (as I believe she should have).  I tried updating the driver for this particular mouse for the new driver, I created in the Device Manager.  Windows has resisted, saying that it had already installed the best driver to work.

So now I know exactly what to do.  I think that other people have figured out how to make it work, but I am helpless as to what I can do differently.  Is - anyone out there know what could be wrong?  Is there must be a .pnf file in order to get the driver to work?

    Thank you

Thanks for the help everyone.  I think I finally found the solution .

I did a lot of trial and error with Windows and finally I got a driver that I created in NI VISA is accepted.  Since it has been hacked together, I have a problem determining the stages that I have to work.  I'm not sure that this list of steps is quite necessary or complete, but in the interest of helping people with a similar problem, I'll try to explain what I did to get the mouse to be read.

The key was probably uninstall the mouse that I wanted to use for the project.  I did this in Device Manager and then found the USB root hub that was running my camera.  I have updated the driver through here rather than through the section 'mouse '.  Information on the procedure to be followed are explained in detail in these two knowledge base articles:

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/28C5E7D2E9FBB4CC86257536005A3692

    http://digital.NI.com/public.nsf/allkb/3C335141B64C038886257141000036F2?OpenDocument

I created the NI-VISA drivers and saved in the default folder (under my documents / National Instruments/NI-VISA) and they installed from there.  I don't know if the installation step was necessary.  Then I updated the drivers as explained in the second article knowledge base related to listed.

I think that the crucial stage is uninstalling the mouse in Device Manager.  This could be the "firmware" mentioned in the article by following the link, but the formulation knowledge base is so ambiguous that I thought I have to uninstall the drivers.

  • HP Pavilion 9700 series - Hard Drive Compatibility

    Hello

I have a laptop HP Pavilion 9700 (dv9827cl) which has stopped working. I hit the power button and it turns off within 2 seconds.

This has happened before and I had to fix. He has worked almost a year and kaput.

I want to buy an another laptop HP Pavilion 9700 on eBay. Those without a hard disk, the boot up to bios, range from $200 or less. The hard drive in my old laptop works in any series HP Pavilion 9700? If this isn't an idea where I could find information about compatibility?

    Thank you!

As long as it is the same family of i.e. AMD or Intel processor, you will be OK. You may need to load a driver or two, but the hard drive of an AMD dv9700 will start in any other dv9700 AMD. It is not quite as sensitive as suggested above, but otherwise, the story would be that if you tried to put it in an Intel system or even a more recent or more old AMD system the essential thing which must be the same is the main chipset on the motherboard.

For completeness I want to clarify that in doing so technically violates the Microsoft EULA. Your OEM for Windows license is specific to the machine, with which it was delivered.

  • In esxi 4.1 tape drive compatibility

This is probably a pretty basic question. I'm relatively new to vmware and trying to determine if our tape drive scsi 160/320 BHBBX-EY Quantum DLT - V4 model is supported in esxi 4.1 (using the free version). Looking at the hardware compatibility matrix, I see our offer of scsi cards but am not finding references for the readers themselves. This is a matter that if the scsi card is supported, then the tape drive should work, or I am simply not find the list of tape drives? It is a single disc, not an autoloader. Thanks in advance. -Bruce

Yes, no worries about the points.  Let us know how it worked.

  • Satellite Pro A10 drive compatibility list?

Hi all, I have a hard drive to be replaced for the House of /2.5Ghz/30G/256Mb/XP Satellite Pro A10.

The pins of the connector appear more highlighted than many 2.5-inch hard drives. Don't want to take the risk of buying an inconsistent player. Is there a list of compatible drives anywhere, or someone may one suggest that costs about £50 - ish. ? Not too concerned about the size, 30-40Gb would be perfect. The original MK3021GAS is hard to find or expensive or repaired, and I'd rather have a new.

    Cheers for any help.

    Hello

This unit came with a 20 GB; 30 and 40 GB HDD.
You can use these hard drives without any problems.
Unfortunately I n t found the necessary part numbers but all devices, such as HARD drive, you can order from Toshiba service partner in your country.

    You can find addition information:

  • Re: Satellite P10 304 - hard drive compatibility

    Hello

My original hard drive is dead and I find it very difficult to get information on the internal hard disks will be compatible replacements, especially that Toshiba offers no sales through this site.

The old disk seems to be IDE (or EIDE). An ATA100 drive would be compatible? PATA?

    Thanks for any information.

This forum offers numerous useful threads on the upgrade of the disk on the Satellite P10.

    But here's my suggestion;
    The laptop uses a 60 GB 4200 RPM IDE (ATA-5) (Ultra-ATA/66)
The controller uses ATA - 5, and in my opinion for example disk HARD ATA - 6 (Ultra-ATA/100) will work too, but perhaps not with 100% performance.

    Good bye
