  I use InDesign CS6 to create a document with many links to URLS. I found that the conversion of INDD as PDF (Export to PDF) process is changing some special characters in the link, basically to break hyperlinks in the PDF file (for example, a symbol equation "=" AND the question mark symbol "?") BOTH converted to their html codes of character - 3D and % 3F, respectively - and the links are broken, "404 error".

  Process:

  1. Highlight the text you want
  2. Right click > interactive > new hyperlink
  3. Link to: URL
  4. Destination URL: paste the location of the link
  5. Apply the character style "hyperlink."
  6. File > Adobe PDF presets

  Just in case someone had the same problem, I've found a workaround.

  Using the links Panel, click on each link and manually change all characters who have converted characters html codes.

  Not a big problem but anemone said if there is an advantage to use a (button, "go to url") on the other (hypertext links), strictly speaking DPS?  The benefits of stability / reliability or anything like that?  I have been using a mixture of both, and I was wondering.

  Sometimes hyperlinks that add to a page are added as with my url inserted. for example if I want to add the hyperlink www.adobe.com sometimes it will go out like this www.me.com/www.adobe.com. I don't understand what happens and have tried to rewrite the hypertext links several times but cannot get rid of the problem.

  Whenever I have to copy and paste from the web or Word it removes hyperlinks.  And when I try to do in 'Place' ing a Word document in my InDesign project that it retains formatting with it, the rectangles around the text.

  I have the latest version of InDesign.

  Copy-paste might not include the shaped. A regular import using square is the best way.

  The rectangles around the hyperlinks are just to indicate that they are links - they do not print, but they appear in your PDF.

  You can delete them by double clicking on the hyperlink in the hyperlinks Panel and select "Rectangle Invisible" as the type.

  In general, Word formatting of hyperlinks - blue text, underline - with a character Style. If you want to remove or change the formatting, all you have to do is to change the character style. My experience, however, is that you need to check all the hyperlinks because no reason apparent, sometimes they appear in the document without the character style.

  I'm going to think the installation site site definition can be hurt or other things. I can be who rushed into that quickly, I will read adobe help guide and there is now a book on Dreamweaver CS3 2007. It certainly sounds good easy to use, and design web pages. The msn web design expression is just an update on the front page. Chances are when I solve the problem of connection that I will be buying Dreamweaver Cs3.

  If I read this correctly, you make a wrong assumption. You are assuming that if you have a PDF file with interactivity, that when you place in InDesign, it will retain its interactivity. This is false. This workflow will not work. InDesign does NOT read interactivity when placing a PDF file.

  I'm having some trouble finding how to insert a hyperlink in my document. I would like to insert a link in my document that, when clicked, opens a new Web browser at the specified URL. I read the online help and thought that I had inserted the text correct marker but I don't get the results I wanted.

  I have inserted the marker of Hypertext "Message URL" and the URL address. I have a link but nothing happens when I click it. I missed or done wrong? It is even possible to do?

  I have a new laptop preloaded with Win8.1. Have set Chrome as default browser. Installed Thunderbird and everything seems to work fine until I click on a hyperlink in a message body... nothing happens. It was above all modules have been added. I read the article... help default configuration of browser - already configured. ... other items have been reviewed and I have not found any abnormality in my settings.

  It seems quite strange that I have no problem on my desktop. Additional ideas for this problem? It gets a little irritating having to click - right "Copy link location" and then paste it into the address bar of Chrome.
