  • Windows Defender - blocked startup programs

Over the past two days, whenever I connect, windows defender appears and says it blocked a commissioning program. So I open windows defender and choose "show or remove blocked startup programs" I assume that the program that is blocked is showing on the screen. How can I remove the locked channel? Remove, disable and enable buttons are gray. I don't want to run it in case it is an infected file. The file is Digital Line Detection by Avanquest Software.

    Thank you.

Here is some information about dlg.exe; http://www.processlibrary.com/directory/files/dlg.  Here's more information:http://forums.avanquestusa.com/aq/archive/index.php/t-4477.html.  As you can see, the creators of this program are known to have made Spyware in the past and that is probably why it is blocked.

How did you get this program and why do you have this program?  It seems to me that it does not offer much that you can't with programs that cause fewer problems (if necessary at all).  I checked the site web avanquest and this program is not listed: http://www.avanquest.com/.  I also checked Phone Tools of BVRP (whose dlg.exe is supposed to be a part of):http://download.cnet.com/BVRP-Mobile-Phone-Tools/3000-2349_4-93370.html , but that seemed for mobile phones and brought him back to avanquest.  I could not find any information on the product (in addition, Tools of BVRP Phone does not list itself as compatible with Vista).

If I were you, I would delete/uninstall this program.  It's not like you use (it is blocked) and you don't mention the functions you can perform you want to run, because he's not here.  Go to start / Control Panel / programs and features and see if you can find it under the names above, then right click on it and click on uninstall.

If it does not appear, go to http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/sysinternals/bb963902.aspx and run Autoruns and click all.  Search of dlg.exe or whatever it is, on one names program or product mentioned above, and when you find it uncheck the box to prevent it from start to start.  Check the entire list as there may be several entries.  When you're done, click OK and restart. Since it is no longer from the start, he should no longer need to be blocked, and I hope that will remove the message.  I would prefer if we could uninstall the program, but if it is not found, then we will have to be satisfied to prevent him from running.

This will be the no Defender removes (except if it is uninstalled) and I can't explain why the buttons are grayed (are you logged on as administrator?).  But I think that the process described above may solve the problem.  If the message still appears, then I suggest you contact Support technique Avanquesthttp://kb.avanquestusa.com/display/4/search.aspx?tab=search and ask them how to remove it and why it causes so many problems.

    I hope this helps.

    Good luck!

Netfxupdate.exe is a file associated with Microsoft .net framework.
You can allow the program to run on the computer.

User account control prevents programs that require permission or an administrator password from running automatically when Windows starts. If a program is blocked, you will see a message in the notification area that says that some startup need permission to run programs. You can run a blocked program, remove blocked startup programs or ignore the notification.

    To run a blocked program

1 blocked startup programs right click on the icon in the notification area.
    2. click on run blocked program, and then click the name of the program to run. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation.

To remove a blocked program from startup

You can remove a blocked program from startup so that it tries to run automatically whenever you start Windows. Removal of the startup program does not remove the program from your computer.

If restore work not and you do not have a Vista DVD from Microsoft, do a repair disc to do a Startup Repair:

Download the ISO on the link provided and make a record of repair time it starts.

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu.

When you have changed that, insert the Bootable disk you did in the drive and reboot.

Link above shows what the process looks like and a manual, it load the repair options.

It cannot be used to install or reinstall Windows Vista, and is just a Windows PE interface to recovering your PC. Technically, we could re-create this installation with downloadable media media freely from Microsoft (namely the Microsoft WAIK, several gigabyte download); but it is pretty darn decent of Microsoft to present Windows users who might not be able to create such a thing on their own.

It is NOT a disc of resettlement.

  • How to completely uninstall p2p programs?

I got three p2p programs on my Dell computer, (but not at the same time).  Ares eMule and Shareaza.  I uninstalled all of them to the control panel and thought that was that, but I noticed that the Ethernet Local light on my modem/router flickered quickly I guess something was either be uploaded to or.  I went to the the Task Manager and found all three of them out there, I clicked end task and they went, but they returned a few minutes later. I went into Windows Firewall and erased and clicked on no. Exceptions. Then I did a search and found a bunch of files their.zip, which I deleted.  I also found a few other files which I also deleted. So I ran my antivirus and antispyware program (which found nothing) and restarted my computer. I went into the Task Manager and there they were, puffing along.  I clicked end task again and again they returned again a few minutes later.

I don't know if it's related, but I also get frequent black screens that automatically restarts.  I also tried the system restore to a time before their installation, but the system restore does not work.

Any help you can offer to this very strange problem will be certainly appreciated.

    Daniel Shouse

Yes, my problem of pesky p2p programs have been resolved. I found in the registry and remove the, but curiously, they are still back then according to your instructions, I downloaded Malwarebytes Antimalware, ran and he found no less than 13 infections, that Microsoft Security Essentials failed to find out.  This has been a long epiisode, frustrating, but programs are gone now, and I have nothing but good things to say about you guys.

  • What does the blocking P2P 'really? '

    Hello

We are planning to implement the blocking of BitTorrent/Peer2Peer traffic on our network wireless infrastructure and found "Blocking P2P" box on our Cisco WLC 8500 series.

I have done some research, but does not know exactly what to this medium. What are the protocols/ports only it crashes (or does it block or filter traffic)? More technical information on what is happening behind the scenes, when this option is enabled, would be extremely useful.

This blocks the direct communication between wireless network wlan clients and a single controller, it does not block specific protocols or ports, it is not really P2P but client2client
