Vista 64-bit for XP Professional downgrade

I have problems to run a number of games on the Vista 64 Bit OS, so decided to buy and run a clean installation of XP Professional. I have run the XP installation, but tells me that I don't have install disks (they work fine under Vista!). I have a 500GB SCSI hard drive and a pair of RAID HDs. If I choose the option to manually select a driver installation disk loads loads many SCSI drivers, but can not find mine (Microsoft iSCSI, band of NVIDIA and SAMSUNG HD502IJ hard drive) and because I have no floppy drive in my system, the installation will stop.

Y at - it an easy way to install XP and the problem of hard disk, what can I do?

Hi Jonathan

You'll need to try to locate the SCSI or RAID drivers for your Raid Controller for XP and then during the initial start of XP, you press F6 when you are prompted to load additional drivers.

    Hello

I would like to know when toshiba get out the drivers for XP and Vista 64 bit for the Toshiba Qosmio F50 - 10 M series.

    Greetz

First of all you can find all THE Toshiba Vista 64-bit drivers on the European driver Toshiba page
Secondly do not all features are available through the Win XP because in many cases, they are only supported by Vista

So if you want to use your devices to high-tech multimedia machine, then you must stay with Vista.

  • Windows Vista 32-bit for Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit to run CS4 Premiere Pro

Hello, I need some advice on whether to upgrade my computer or not!  I'm currently under CS4 Premiere Pro (version 4.2.1) with HD 1080 images. My computer is a HP d4999z Image maker (Pavilion) using Vista 32 - bit OS. It has a processor AMD 9600 Quad-core 2.3 GHz (phenom ADM 64 Nvidia), Ram is 4 GB, Windows Vista Home Prem (service pak2), a Nvidia GEForce 8800GT, creative SB-x-Fi, 3 internal HD and 2 HD external.

I use CS4 PremPro for my HD video editing. I am a serious amateur and not a professional. HP said I can move to Windows 7 Ultimate on my current computer and the GB of ram from 4 GB to 8 GB and 8 GB is the maximum. So my question is... will be an upgrade like this (wind 7/64 and more RAM), give me treatment significantly more quickly or better? Ultimate Windows 7/64, and a more stable platform on which to run CS4?

Finally, I'll go to CS5; but not on this computer.  Probably at the end of the year next to the new computer.

    Thanks for any advice.  Jean

    Jean,

I would not invest in this configuration more. Keep it for your next system. Invest in an additional memory of HP will cost bundle, which can be thrown next year with a new PC, because you need then of different memory. For your next system, forget AMD. Intel is suitable for mounting. Your current system is 20 to 30 times slower that a good machine Intel.

  • Re: Satellite X 200 - 22F - is - can I use BIOS of Vista 64 bit for Windows 7?

    Hello!

Can I use Vista 64 - bit - 2.50 for my X 200 - 22 Satellite BIOS update? I just installed Windows 7 HOME PREMIUM 64 bit and it works fine.
Before that, I had XP-32 bit running.

    Thank you in advance!

    Tom

    Hi tn411,

I guess that the BIOS of 64 bit Vista would be the best choice for Windows 7 64 bit. The other version of BIOS on the Toshiba site seems to be for 32 bit OS, so you can choose the 64-bit version of Vista.

If you have any other questions, please let us know! :)

  • Audio drivers for Vista 64 bit for my Satellite Pro P100 PSPA4E

    Hello

I'm looking for audio drivers for the PSPA4E. The reason that I updated to VISTA 64-bit. and I can only find the 32-bit driver on the Toshiba site.

Thank you very much for reading this.

Please don't be crazy on me, but why put just PSPA4E as description of the laptop model?
If you see the Toshiba download page this info can be useful right on step 4 to choose the right laptop model.

In any way, if you can't find it on the support page of Toshiba which means your laptop model is not supported for 64-bit operating system. Identify the sound card and try to find it on the manufacturers support page.

awesome! Well you all this that is functional. I don't know how you can get your screensaver back however.

regarding the Mahjong game you must activate the functionality of your control and features Panel\Programs\Programs and click on the features of Windows turn on or off, then expand on games and checkmark the Mahjong - (I really should be paid for this - lol)...

  • Vista-64 bit for Windows 7 32 bit upgrade

I have a computer I bought with Vista 64 bit OEM factory needs reinstalled operating system installed (my kids computer - trashed by viruses). I bought a copy of Windows 7 32 bit. The upgrade to Vista 64-bit to 32-bit windows 7 will be a problem with system drivers or a problem at all? Or should I buy Windows 7-64 bit? If so, can I get a credit or upgrade to the 32-bit version I've already spent money on?

    Hello

ask whenever you bought windows 7 32-bit on a credit

    64-bit to 32-bit or 32-bit to 64-bit is not a upgrade path

Here are the different ways to reinstall Vista

Contact the manufacturer of the laptop computer and ask them to send you to vista recovery disks to reinstall the operating system back as it was when you bought it

they do it for a nominal cost of $

    ____________________________________________________________

also ask them if you have a recovery partition on your hard drive to get back to the way you bought

you would normally press F8, F9, F10 or F11 or Alt + F10 or 0 to start to start the recovery process according to the manufacturer

Ask them of the exact key sequence

    __________________________________________________________

or borrow a vista microsoft dvd; not a HP, Acer recovery disk etc

Make sure that you borrow the correct 32-bit or 64-bit microsoft dvd to your computer

they contain all versions of vista

This is the product key that determines which version of vista is installed

  • Can I install Windows vista 64-bit for free if I have the 32-bit version preinstalled (OEM)?

I have Windows Vista 32 bit pre-installed on my computer and now I'm ready to add more memory to my machine.

I've already paid for Windows Vista, when I bought my Dell computer a few years (I "réinstallation DVD Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit").

I guess I can legally get and install the 64 bit version of the same operating system (I mean for free, of course)?   I don't want to pay for Windows 7.

Whether or not it is an option would be between you and Dell.  Copies of the retail Windows come with two discs, but OEM copies that are sold with computers come with one or the other, the one that you ordered when you ordered the computer.  If Dell doesn't want to or can't provide you with a copy, then no one else is able to.

  • Change in Vista 64 bit for Vista or Windows 7 32 bit to resolve incompatibilities

I read everything here and don't think I see my question.  My laptop HP dv6-1030US supplied with Windows Vista 64-bit installed.  A lot of my programs (especially older and even including Microsoft Flight X Games) used to install on a 64-bit operating system.  I must completelyy reinstall Windows Vista 32-bit, then reinstall ALL my programs from scratch or y at - it a simpler way to get for Vista 32 bit?  If I can't do it simply, what buy Windows 7 and install it as a 32 bit on this Vista 64-bit OS?

64-bit to 32-bit must be done with a clean installation using a full 32-bit Vista or Windows 7 operating system license.

    You need to reinstall everything.

  • drivers vista 64 bit for 1720

Two weeks ago, I noticed there was drivers 64 bit for vista available for my inspiron 1720.  So knowing this I bought a copy of Vista 64 Ultimate.  I got it in the mail, I was so excited because now I could justify my purchase of 4 GB of ram.

I opened the package, installed, got to the point where I'm getting a 1.0 on my vista performance cues because the poor quality video card drivers that come with Vista built in.  I think to myself, is time to download the drivers and see how much more quickly.

I'm on the dell Web site, to see that there are NO drivers for vista 64!  OK, so I now have a Clipboard 17 "in force.  I can't download drivers for the Videocard of nvidia as built is special and exclusive.  I can only download from dell but dell can't apparently not 64-bit.  Any advice?
