I try to use a monitor from a Dell Dimension 2100, I currently have Vista Home ed. Inspiron 560.

If anyone can help with the answer?  Thank you

Make sure you have the latest drivers for your graphics card or chipset.  Any monitor is only correctly recognized when you have the correct graphics drivers installed.

    Hello.

    1. you can use the recovery disks you did to reinstall Vista. It's what they are for.

To reinstall Vista using recovery disk/s, you start from the 1st recovery disk they provide and follow the manufacturer's instructions to reinstall:

You need to change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order:

How to change the Boot order in BIOS:

    http://pcsupport.about.com/od/fixtheproblem/SS/bootorderchange.htm

2 as you do a new installation the hard disk will be wiped clean of the everyting: files, MSE, everything.

Therefore, there is not need to disable the MSE.

    3. the recovery disks must select the disc / Partition and install Vista updates.

If not. Select the c: / partition.

    See you soon.

  • Blu Ray plays is not on an old monitor Ultrasharp

Greetings - I use an old monitor Ultrasharp of thirty-two inch September 2005 with a white DVI connection to a new PC-HP high range.  Tried to read a DVD Bluray (Band of Brothers...) but it does not work and tells me he has a problem with HDCP (diagnostic Cyberlink using Power DVD 13). Does this mean that my Dell monitor isn't compatible Bluray and I can do something? The monitors they are pilots?  If the monitor took a HDMI connection would help?

    Help would be appreciated sincerely

    Thank you Michael

    Hi Michael,

You will not be able to play blu ray on this old monitor, I'm afraid. There are gadgets that can be used to hack into the system to play blu ray on non HDCP hardware, but they are usually more expensive than a new monitor.

The VGA cable is not compatible with this new pc.

    What is the best solution?

Buy a monitor more up-to-date?  ~ or ~ get a new cable and if so, what type?

    Thank you kindly in advance.

I found that the best solution was to simply buy a HDMI cable which perfectly solves the problem.

  • More than half of my screen went dark on my old monitor?

    Original title; Display problem

The monitor CRT Samsung regarded 56v, old enough, but up to 2 days back worked perfect. Now, the screen is dark on one side (right side and Center too) while most left is normal, the dark side covers almost 70% of the screen. That's the problem with the monitor, or anything else on the CPU Cabinet? Please let me know how to solve this problem.

The position of the screen has been changed or whatever it is was recently been placed near him, say a speaker?

Try another monitor and try the monitor on another computer. This will restrict the cause of a failure of the computer video or monitor. The symptom points quite strongly to the fault of the monitor. If so, the only remedy will be repair or replacement.

  • Need driver win7 for Vista H233H monitor

Hello, I just bought a new processor & Win and am having problems with my monitor H233H. During a cold start the monitor not acknowledge a connection with the new CPU until I turn off the power button on the monitor. When the monitor restarts - Acer appears - then it goes directly to my desktop - everything will be good until it lights up my screensaver. Then I have to turn off the monitor again.

    Thank you!

    Solved the problem...

Bought a new 27 "AOC montor. Pluged into the HDMI and things were Golden. I don't understand why Acer failed to write a new driver code for a monitor that was purchased in 2010 for Win 7?

Makes me do not want to go back on the road to Acer.

    Hello

    1. You have the latest service pack installed for Windows Vista?

    Method 1:

The issue could be related to corrupt check Windows Socket the link provided below to troubleshoot issues with the nerve to Windows in Windows Vista.

How to determine and to recover from Winsock2 corruption in Windows Server 2003, Windows XP and Windows Vista

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/811259

    Method 2:

First, disable all other connections to try to force the wireless connection to request the information needed in the router.

    (a) click Start

    (b) Control Panel

    (c) network and sharing Center

    (d) managing network connections.

    (e) click every link that is EXCEPT the wireless LAN connection, and then click on disable this network device.

    (f) then see if your wire will connect.

    (g) you should probably run the diagnostic and repair utility on the Network and Sharing Center menu to force the wireless card to request information from the router IP.

    Method 2:

If all else fails, go back into the network and sharing Center, manage network connections and right click on the wireless network connection and select Properties.

Then click Internet version 4 Protocol and select Properties.

Click in the box that says "Use following IP address" and enter the information that has been shown in IPCONFIG report for your connection to the Wired Local network above.

Do the same for "use the following DNS servers."

Make sure that you type the IP address, mask subnet, default gateway, and DNS addresses exactly the same than the connection to the Local network was when he got the information from the router.

Blessed excrement! After frustrating months of bi-ecrans LR questions and a month of waiting for an answer on this forum, I called Adobe technical support. Only five minutes before dialing, I had updated my PhotoShop CC application. When the useful Adobe tech classmate is online, I can't reproduce all the issues that had been plaguing me. It is a stretch... a biiiiig stretch... but he is feels/figure/seems that PhotoShop CC update has fixed my bi-ecrans LR problems! • FlexBuilder 3 constantly crashing (VISTA) and other issues

I encounter some problems with the FlexBuilder 3 Beta:
    1. FDI almost always blocks (leaving behind a Java Runtime Error dialog box) after stopping a debugging session.
    2. If the IDE do not crushed after a debugging session, you cannot debug again. You get an error indicating that the debugger is still working. When it is not. I find that I "end task" (using Task Manager) a task called ieuser.exe I am able to start debugging again.

These two issues make it practically impossible to play with FlexBuilder 3.

    Anyone having any questions?

I understood earlier finally workaround for the occasional problem when using Flex Builder on Vista, where Flex Builder tells you that another debugger is already running.

The solution is to add this line to flexbuilder.ini or eclipse.ini (the name of the ini file depends on if you have installed stand-alone Flex Builder or Eclipse of Flex Builder plugin version):

    -Djava .net .preferIPv4Stack = true

That's all. I suspect a bug in Vista - the first time that you are debugging, I see clearly that Flex Builder is the closure of the socket, but when I run TCPView, it shows that the IPv6 version of the socket is always open, and that causes the problem. The addition of the definition of the above property causes Java to use only IPv4.

  • Portege M400 - Vista - external monitor + Tablet feature internal

    Hi all

I have a monitor to display large 24 "connected via the docking station on my M400. My question is, is it possible to also use the feature Tablet LCD inside and that's when my 24 "monitor using.

The 24 "display is fine but the internal LCD screen is rotated 90 degrees, giving a black border top and bottom (portrait upward way) but the digitizer works in landscape mode. So if I move the stylus down it moves to the right on the screen :)

It's so close to being good, I hope that this is possible. It would be great to work off the screen 24 "and to open Windows Journal to take notes on the screen of the tablet.

    Thank you
    Royce

    Hello

Hmmm, if you want to change the orientation of the screen I would suggest to the Toshiba Tablet verification options.
There you should find the tool called Rotation Utility.

This utility provides an option to change the orientation of the screen into tablet mode and PC mode.
If the laptop is set to Tablet mode, you can choose between portrait primary, primary, secondary landscape landscape and portrait high school.

  • Vista - Service Pack issues

I just did a fresh reinstall of Vista Home Premium.I have taken quite a few updates, but I wondered about the SP1. This will give with the updater as well because I'm looking to install SP2 later. Thank you.

Please see this article to understand why SP1 is not available: Windows Vista and Windows Server 2008 service Pack is not available for installation via Windows Update

If you choose to manually download the standalone full Service Packs, all the prerequisites for installation are contained in the complete stand-alone package. The only exceptions are the hardware and software listed in the article that were deemed incompatible with the Service Packs for Windows Vista. They are listed under ' hardware and software which if present will result in Windows Update does not offer a service pack.

IF none of the hardware/software on the list is present on your system, then suggest you to manually download required Service Packs from the Microsoft Download Center, Saveand then install them after the first system boot configuration.
