  I just installed Vista on my Portege M400 and installed all the drivers on the driver Vista page.
  But I have several questions...

  1: bluetooth does not work. I can't find anywhere in Control Panel whatever it is on a connection bluetooth or something else.

  2: after you have installed all the drivers on the driver Vista page, there is 2 "unknown device" in Device Manager. I can't find any information on what are these devices.   I don't know if someone of you, people have the same problem, but I play Starcraft(big fan) and I usually play on my desktop, which works on Windows XP. It works perfectly and I have no problem with the exception of lag casual. However, I sometimes play on laptop from my father (who works on vista) and I get a very annoying problem of Imaging. All the colors which are white or gray are VERY bright blue. Upward, different shades of dark blue (which occurs on the field water) turn into different colors of the Rainbow. I tried everything until I heard that you are able to solve the problem by Alt + Tab. The method worked perfectly and permanently. The main question is... I received my laptop (running Windows 7) and I'm NOT able to solve the problem (and Yes, I ran in compatibility mode).

  This isn't something I could fix consistantly.  If you are desperate I would try in a Virtual Machine, if you run Professional you can download a Windows XP VM for this purpose. • Vista Home Prem - problems since installation on 26 August updated - USB problems and everything deleted before the update restore points

  I have a Dell XPS 430 quad-processor. Receipt of the August 26 as update automatic updates. Since the computer was restarted after autoupdates, I have problems. Biggest problem is when I switch to another port my 4 ports KVM Trendnet TK - 407K and back on my Dell computer - the computer is blocked and the video is all garbled. My only recourse is to start the computer cold. After the first time it happened, I knew immediately updates, so I went in my restore points to restore back before the update. When I did restore bluescreened, but I was unable to capture data as computer restarted itself and get into the routine of starting fix. Difficulty of startup said it could not solve my problem.

  When I returned to restore to try to restore once again, I found that all my restore points have been removed. I found a utility called the shadow on the web Explorer and installed. He seems to find all my data restore point on the recovery D: drive, but Windows is not seeing them.  I should also mention, usb-wise, given that these updates have been applied, my Canon digital camera is not recognized when I hang it in one of the USB ports.

  Don't know what to do at this point. If I stay on the port on my computer using the KVM switch, my PC at home works well. Unfortunately, it is not realistic that I need to do my job in two laptops that are also connected to the switch.

  I'm tempted to just delete all the updates that have been installed on 8/26 to see if that helps - esp KB973879 I read on this patch causing a lot of problems with other computers.  Another thing that I have not tried is to use the restore from a command prompt application.

  Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

  ·         Did you do changes on the computer before the show?

  ·         Do you have any extended monitor connected to the computer in the past or at the present time?

  Follow the suggestions below for a possible solution:

  Method 1: You can try to reduce the resolution of the screen (lower), then check if the message still appears.

• network between XP and Vista problems

  I have 2 computers on the private network, an XP and a Vista.

  XP is connected with the ethernet cable to the internet router, Vista with wireless adapter.

  I installed the fix on the XP computer as it appears on the network of map.private Vista network, sharing files on both computers.

  On Vista, I can see and access the shared files on the XP computer. No problem in that direction.

  On XP, I see an old Vista computer network configuration (with an extra disk and other than common shared files) that I can't seem to update.
  XP does not see or update the new configuration on Vista computer and I cannot delete the old configuration (shows "open" or "explore" option only).

  Microsoft no longer supports Live OneCare, the XP computer had Norton and MS security essentials Vista instead.

  Previously, the networking was thin between 2 computers.

  I tried repeatedly to share files on the computer to Vista, but since the changes, sharing does not seem to take.
  Records are marked as shared, but when I check the details, shows only the user account from the vista computer.

  Your keyboard is set to french. To resolve this problem, look at the right hand of the bar at the bottom and you will see a keyboard. Click on it and press U.S..

• Problem installation Vista updated and now the Vista operating system unbootable - help

  Here it is the description of what has past.  Ive been through everything I can do and am now stuck with a code of 0 X 4001100200001005.

  I worked with Microsoft Vista forum group of answers, but I'm not back upward and running if Im going back to HP for assistance.  I hope that we can achieve together.  This all started when started Vista updates failing.  I got the 1 3 install stuck on the 2nd about three weeks ago.

  Here is a list of what I've done so far
  I have an old HP DV9410us for a year which will not restart after installing updates.  It comes to configuring updates step 1 from 3 to about 98% and then stops.

  It then says unable to start windows and start the repair program windows for about 5-10 minutes.  He said that you want to use the system restore.  I tell Yah Why Not.  Then, it will stop and start the cycle.

  The error in the Startup Repair States the following

  After a bunch of tests successful

  Root cause found:

  c:\ntoskrnl.exe is corrupted.

  Repari Action: Repair of files

  If you had an error in "configuration update 1 3-3 3 ' which would be a problem with windows update.

  to fix this, you'll need a factory image recovery if you can not access other modes for windows. But youy mentioned that you had a 0xx000x... (similar to code) error... try checking the hard drive and memory modules health... threr could be a problem with these devices, you can access it through the bios settings (turning on laptop, the moment you see hp invent screen, press f10) go to the diagnostics section, run the memory test and that hard drive test

  very probably with the error you have, you might have a hard drive problem.

  most of my clients (I am a specialist of the laptop of beak) with that problem and stuck on a boot loop or may not switch from windows, 95% of them had a hard drive failure.

  I could not get a driver working between the Tungsten C and Vista, but I managed to synchronize

  the device via wi - fi with Palm Desktop 4.1.4e.  I have tried both an ad - hoc network

I suspect it will be wishful thinking, to provide them with real ENGLISH values for resources in en - GB instead of corrupt English which is probably in the American version resources
