  Can someone tell me how to disable "tap to click" on the touchpad of my laptop?

  I have a Dell Inspiron 1525, running Windows Vista.  It's the standard touchpad I mind, it has not been upgraded.

  Other forums have suggested to go to the control panel > hardware and sound > mouse, but once I'm there, I only "buttons," "Pointers," "Pointer Options" and "hardware".  There is no option to disable "Tap to click" referred to one of them.

  I've updated all the drivers - Windows tells me I have the latest version, if this doesn't fix the problem.

  My hands are too big to type without hitting the touchpad!  So frustrating.  I accidentally moved my slider three times during the composition of this post.  Someone help me please!  That's four times now.

  Under computer > C: > drivers > entry > R176423, I ran DPInst.  He installed the Dell Touchpad option in my taskbar to bottom left.  After the reboot, I was able to open a more in-depth version of my touchpad, where I could uncheck "Tap to click".  _ Yes!

  I have an inspiron 1525 with Vista installed on it.  If I leave my computer be for about 30 minutes then it freezes.  Today, I've been using Microsoft Word and again once it froze while I was in the middle of a project.  I used a registry cleaner from the Microsoft One Care and the problem still persists.  I am currently in safe mode now and it still froze, but I'll let it be by itself and see if it freezes or not.  I don't know what I have to do.  Is - it there anyway anyone can help me out here and point me in the right direction?

Have you tried a boot clean and troubleshooting session with your machine to determine the program or driver that could be the cause of the problem?   I set up a wireless about a week ago and have done with the following security features: WEP, activate only certain MAC address to connect and disabled to broadcast the SSID.  I was able to use it very well with my Mac computer using the airport, but when I tried to connect my roommates, a dell inspiron 1525 with vista computer, it can not connect.  I can locate the network but when I try to connect to the network, I get a message saying that for a Windows cannot connect to the network and that the wireless link has failed for unknown reasons.  He then said to contact your administrator, but it's me.  I have a basic knowledge of computers just enough to be dangerous and basically know what I'm going along.  If anyone has any advice for me, my roommate and I'll be very grateful.
