• Visual Studio community 2015 fails to update to the latest Version

  I had this problem for awhile now. My OS is Windows 10 Pro Insider Preview (1511, build 10586.36). I have Visual Studio installed 2015 community.

  When open the menu Extensions and updates, I see two product updates - Application Insight Tools for Visual Studio and Visual Studio 2015 update 1. I tried to install them for several weeks without success. What is happening is that the installation program starts, I see several options of what it must be installed, select what I need and then configure immediately goes to Visual Studio preparation and after one minute it says all updates have been installed. When you open Visual Studio, however, there is no change.

  When you try to update the previews of the Application, the installation will start immediately and trying to update Visual Studio a .exe is downloaded beforehand. Both methods produce the same result. I tried to check the different boxes in the configuration, including checking them, no difference at all.

  An internet search gave no results, so it seems that very few people, if any, to deal with this problem, so I'm not sure how to fix it. Any help is welcome.

• Visual Studio Professional 2015, Intellisense in bower.json and package.json does not work.

  I installed VS-2015 professional of the MSDN subscription site. When I tried to create a blank site ASP.NET 5, bower and NPM has failed. The survey, I discovered that there wasn't any NodeJS installed on my system in "C:\Program Files (x 86) \nodejs" (even if I chose NodeJS Joyent characteristic during the installation, but the node, NPM and everything has been installed in C:\Program Files (x 86) \Microsoft Visual Studio 14.0\Common7\IDE\Extensions\Microsoft\Web Tools\External). So I installed on the site of NodeJS NodeJS and NPM has started working.

  But in bower.json and package.json intellisense does not work.

  In field, intellisense for the name of the package is now working but for version it still does not. that is, to say I type the name of the package and there is no intellisense when you type the name of the package, if release version inteliisense say the latest stable version.

  Bower.JSON package name intellisense or release version intellisense is available. I have to type the package name and version it displays ' *' only.

  Other people in my team also faced with the same question. Would anyone please be able to help me solve this problem of intellisense for the name of the package as well as regards the final version?

  Note: after installation of NodeJS NodeJS site, restoration of package started working; only intellisense in file json does not work.

  I tried to install Git for windows as well (bower for troubleshooting site they say to install mysysgit and add it to the path variable) so I install the Git and added the location in the path variable. But still, intellisense did not.

  So, I did the following:

  1 set up Git to use http instead of git: / / with Git Bash

  git config--global url. ' http://".insteadOf git: / /.

  VS configured to use the new Git installed on VS Git

  Right click on folder Bower (under dependencies), and then select "Configure external tools", Unchecked "$(PublicAssemblies%) \Extensions\Microsoft\Web Tools\External\git" and adds a new node with "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Git\bin.

  Restarted the VS and intellisense worked still do not.

  Update 1: I installed Bower with the MUSEUM and after restarting VS several times, release version intellisense started working for bower.json! Then I uninstalled the Arbour (which I installed via NGP) and version intellisese version still works... It's a cause strange scenario now we can't say for certainty that Bower via NGP installation solved the problem like after UN-installing intellisense works always. Although I still do not get the package named by Intellisense. !!!

  It has become a real nightmare in collaboration with Arbor and NPM in Visual Studio 2015. Help, please!

• Empty Toolbox of Visual Studio 2015

  I installed Microsoft Visual Studio community 2015 U1 and I active HyperV. Emulator works as expected, but there is no Toolbox and I can't use VS without it! I tried reset but did not work, any help is appreciated!

• Uninstall Visual Studio community 2013

  I installed Visual Studio Express 2015 and want to uninstall Visual Studio 2013 community.  So far, I've succumbed with this uninstall.

  I tried this using the Control Panel / programs & features, right click on "Microsoft Visual Studio community 2013 with update 4", by selecting the change, then "Uninstall" when the Spear of the installer.  So far, nothing happens - he's sitting there 'absorbent' but in fact does not uninstall it.

  I tried to run "Fixit" of Microsoft but it says there is a problem that it cannot correct.

  I've looked through the various articles on the Microsoft website and cannot find one that helps.

  I am running Windows 7 Home Premium SP1.

  Can someone tell me please in the right direction?  Need space to HARD drive on this computer, so I really don't want VS community 2013 sitting there, doing nothing.

• Control CWAI crashes Visual Studio

  I try to read analog data from a card PCI-MIO-16-1 and OR-DAQ 7.5 installed. I want to use the old driver, because that's what my other software uses. When I go into Visual Studio (Express 2015) and add the CWAI control to the Toolbox, and then add it to the Visual Studio form hangs shortly after. The version of the control CWAI is 1.4. I try to use the free control that comes with the NOR-DAQ driver. What causes Visual Studio to crash?

  Bothering you check NOR-DAQ 7.5 is compatible with Visual Studio 2015 and the version of Windows you are using?

  Hi, I have LabVIEW 2013 and I create a Vi in which I control some signals input and output for a NI PCIe. This VI must be integrated into a larger program developed in C++ in Visual Studio community 2015. Searching the net I found a lot of topics on the use of Visual Studio DLLs in LabVIEW, but I think in this case, I do the reverse process, because the main program runs in Visual Studio and I should call the LabVIEW VI from there. So my question is: which are the steps to do this? Any suggestions would be very helpful!

  If you have the Application Builder or professional development system you can not only create LabVIEW code executables but also dll. Turn your VI in a DLL and call your application Visual Studio. Alternatively you can also select to create a .net assembly and call it as such. For C++ but I would choose the path of the DLL.

  A few notes: a DLL LabVIEW requires the LabVIEW runtime to be installed on each computer that you want to use this DLL on. Also of course all drivers additional as DAQmx etc. If you use them in your screws. You can create an installer too when you have the Application Builder that includes all the dependencies, if you want.

  Last but not least LabVIEW dll (and executable files) are compiled for the target architecture CPU on which they are created, so if you use a LabVIEW 32 Bit in a 32-bit Windows process, the resulting DLL will be only executable. It is not a WinRT component which you can go from one platform to another platform.

  I get the error of false unit test "ShimNotSupportedException" below. I use Visual Studio 2015 Enterprise Update 1, I also tried to update the 2 but no luck from the moment. I did research and seen in msdn post (https://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/library/hh549176.aspx) Shim is still supported by company 2015 VS.

• Microsoft Visual Studio 2015 - installation problem

  I downloaded "vs2015.com_enu.iso". The installation gets stuck in the place where it says, install Microsoft .NET 4.6.

  A few important points:

  • I am also unable to install .NET 4.0, 4.5 .NET.
  • Windows Update indicates the update, download too and said the update will install on the next reboot, and after the next reboot always two updates on the WUA list and are not installed.
  • So the problem I tried to reinstall the Windows OS, but nothing helped.

• PC laptop Pavilion 15: freezing boot screen after installing Visual Studio 2015

  I have a problem on my laptop which is the startup screen freezing after installing Hyper-V on Windows Pro 8.1. Actully I need because it is used by Visual Studio 2015 do Andriod device emulator work

  After a search internet I found that this problem is caused by the driver Ralink Bluetooth and common

  I'm also thinking that I can boot windows successfully when I disable virtualization BIOS, so I logged on windows and I have tried a few solutions

  1. Disable Bluetooth device-> does not

  2 - Install the latest Ralink driver-> does not

  3. Remove VEN_1814 & DEV_3298 & SUBSYS_18EC103C & REV_00-> work but the returned key after that restart so I have to delete this key, everytime I open windows, and more that's a problem with virtual switches on Hyper-V

  Any solution permanent please?

  I discovered Mediatek drivers which are no longer updated.

  Not sure if that helps in your case with Visual Studio.

• Strange problem with Visual Studio

  I hope to be in the right section.
  For some time (I can't say precisely how much, maybe since I've upgraded to Windows 10) I have a problem with Visual Studio 2013.
  In practice, after a few minutes, what is open (without doing special things, even just type code) goes down. comes the message "Not responding" and I have to restart to continue working (say that work this way, it becomes impossible).
  I tried to reinstall but I have not solved, I have also the same problem even with Visual Studio 2015.
  The strange thing is that this problem is only with my user account, and with the remote desktop, sessions instead works without problem.
  What is the problem?
