  I want to connect to a real machine, I'll call her server to one of my virtual machine, using a 802. 1 q VLan. To do this:

  -on my physical netgear switch, I created a new VLAN 802. 1 q, which has the id: 100. My server is connected to a port without a label to this VLAN '100 '.

  My ESXi is connected to a port marked to this VLAN '100 '.

  - then I created a new group of ports in the vswitch linked to my ethernet interface physical ESXi (the one that is connected to the netgear switch). I implemented the VLAN 100 id in this port group.

  -J' I set up my VM so that it uses this interface ethernet port group.

  The problem is when my ping on my server VM, it gets no answer: I see the appeal by the virtual machine on my server with tcpdump, then the response from the server with arp ARP response, but this arp reply never saw my VM.

  So it seems that communication is correct VM to the server but no server VM. I use an ESXi DELL server with some ethernet interfaces and the one I use (broadcom interface) for the VLAN is not the management interface.

  If your ESXi is connected only to physical port 1 and port is shared resources on the physical switch, then you should have a unique vSwitch in your ESXi. On this vSwitch, create two ports: one for one for VM3 and VM2. Give each group of port id VLAN different (2 for "port_group_2") and 3 for "port_group_3" and attach each VM to its corresponding port group.

  Some tools Anti Virus 'protect' your system so that they will not allow a restore of the system work properly.
  For example, if you use Norton/Symantec products, you will see a message like this:

  According to what you use for malware protection, you may need to disable the product temporarily, do the system restore and then turn the products light up again when the system restore is complete.

  Sometimes malicious will afflict your system restore to prevent you to find and remove malware.  It would much rather you trick into thinking that you need to repair or reinstall your XP when it is not necessary.
  No matter what you use for protection against malware, I do so and then only begin to solve any problems:

  This will be always supported until at least 2014-2016

  Having said that there are attribute benefits of performance in version 4.1 and a fortiori in vSphere 5

  Upgrading form 4.0 to 4.1 using the command line is really not that complicated, and I encourage you to make the effort to at least ver 4.1

• Why a supposed to be certified is not correctly install ESXi? (Dim X 2270) Criteria of certified systems.

  We have a Sun Fire X 2270, which according to VMware is a system that belongs to the HCL for ESXi 4.0 (http://www.vmware.com/resources/compatibility/search.php?deviceCategory=server & advancedORbasic = advanced) and according to Sun is a certified system (http://www.sun.com/software/vmware/certification.jsp). Therefore, it should work with ESXi. And it does not work. The problem arises when you want to use the internal drives to a data store and expect some sort of redundancy, I mean obviously set up a RAID in which install the ESXi and the data store.

  2270 X uses an Intel Matrix Storage Manager v8.5.0.1030 ICH10R/D0 wRAID5 controller, that does not work with ESXi 4.0. And I say that this does not work because once the ESXi installation program shows you the available disks it overrides the Intel RAID configuration and it shows just two discs instead of a mirrored volume. Why? I did the same thing with a Sun Fire X 4275, who is also a certified from the same manufacturer, system and it happened your in a RAID5 configuration with several volumes. However, Adaptec RAID supported in compatibility list card X 4275 has a. The answer of the Sun, is that the system is certified, they know not the RAID controller and that I should talk with VMware.

  I guess that, in order to obtain certification, hardware manufacturers must prove that their system works under reasonable conditions, and they consider the drivers available in ESXi 4.0. Is it reasonable to ask RAID functionality? My problem here is why is a machine on the HCL, if it really works? Or I'm just clumsy and I can't get it to work? I do not know. I can always buy an adaptec card, but then, why do I lose the only free PCIe that comes with the X 2270?

  In summary, someone knows what are the criteria to determine whether a server is a system that is certified or not? Part of that test RAID features? What makes a server an eligible candidate?

  Try this. Create a label called conditional construction OBSOLETE. Attach to any topic that you don't want to (permanently or at least for the moment) in your results compiled or generated. While you compile or build the project, be sure to exclude OBSOLETE headings in your statement of construction.

  I also move all my OBSOLETE subjects in a folder of the same name in the project. They are still there, can be returned to service if necessary, but they are out of the way.

  I have a Toshiba laptop 64 bit running Windows 10 Home, 8 GB, 1 t hard drive.

  Router is a Samsung phone using Android because it was the only router that I could find which would take the wireless signal.

  I live very pastoral, no neighbours for miles, so I never saw the need for a password on my router.

  Now, some people are installs in less than 400 feet from me, and I think they're piggybacking on my Wifi because my access speed has slowed considerably since they moved in.

  So I decided to change the password of the router, unfortunately, I can not put in any password I want.  It gives me the opportunity to have a predefined password.  So I changed the name of the router I could do without problem.

  My computer very quickly without any problem, however, my printer which worked great for a year with the old router name does not connect on the new name of the router.

  Here is what I tried:

  I had hoped he would ask me for a new name / password, but it did not.

  Then I plugged a cable between the printer and the laptop in the hopes that it would produce a different kind of results.  It has not changed anything.  There is no screen menu on what that be like this on the printer.

  I pressed the wireless button that has the flashing blue light and nothing happened.

  I have a SLM2008 (SW01) and a SRW2008MP (SW02), these are inter connected both on port g1. G8 SW01 port is connected to the HDSL modem my ISP (off-grid). Connected G2is inside an ASA5505, offering my inside of network port. G7 and g8 SW02 port is connected outside 2 servers. I created a VLAN 2 on both switches. SW01 has 2 PVID on port 8, Acceptable frame types = All and enabled the capture filter. All other ports has same config except PVID on these are 1.
  On SW02 I tried several setting of VLAN on ports 1, 7 and 8. NO CHANCE!
  In general, I tried g1 as trunk, joined the untagged VLAN1, VLAN2 tagged, Acceptable frame types = All, PVID = 1, penetration fltering on. Ports g7 and g8, I tried with the access mode both in general mode, with several combinations of tag/untagged etc etc.
  I am not able to pass all traffic to the outside.

  Anyone? Help.

  Basically, what I want to achieve is; using a vlan between the 2 switches create a topology as if I had 4 physical switches, connected 2 and 2. No traffic should pass between the 2 pairs. No servers or other resources should be informed (or care) if they are on the physical pair 1 (VLAN1) or physical to pair 2 (VLAN2).

  As I see, or understand, the only difference between 4 physical switches and 2 physical (using the VIRTUAL local area network), it is that we need two trunk VLAN through, instead of having 2 physical connections intercommutation

  All outside routing is handled by the ASA (from vlan1) to VLAN2, the server will be directly using public IP address.

  In a concern for information inside subnet is 192.168.1.x, NAT by ASA at the public address 62.89.36.34/24 outside VLAN2 will be directly connected and use the servers 62.89.36.45 and 62.89.36.46

  GW = 62.89.36.33

  I can only answer to your "Windows Defender" problem...

  If you have the following AV, antivirus, programs installed, close your Windows Defender. Purpose of these AVs have their own advocates. 2 defenders on the same machine will create conflicts.
  Bottom line: it's ok. It's normal.
  List of AVs which will stop Windows Defender:
  Norton
  McAfee
  AVG
  Microsoft Security Essentials

  If you don't have AV programs above, here's how to restart Windows Defender:

  Start button > in the search box, typeServices > press the Enter key > scroll to find Windows Defender, click on it >...
