VMWare View Persona management 6.2.0 not sycning

Currently, we have a problem with management persona not sync for many users and is very intermittent. We have tested on several different related clone pools with master several images and can reproduce this problem.

We have the latest version of Symantec Endpoint Protection with EMET.

We had the GPO settings configured exactly the same thing for the last few years and have never experienced any problems.

We have checked and cached on the client side and deduplication is disabled.

Here are the log files from one of the machines:

Has anyone ever experienced this problem before, and if so, any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Dan

I can confirm that this problem has been resolved by disabling the following group policy setting:

Wandering "Local Settings" or "AppData\Local" with the character of the user.

Thanks for your help

  • VMware View Persona takes a long time to load

We have a serious problem with profiles from view.  When we try to implement the component of Persona, the login screen appears and the user connects.  After that, however, the screen goes blue (note, NOT the BSOD) and just is.  We waited more than 10 minutes without anything from the computer.  We can see the folder of the user created, but nothing is filled.  After a certain period of time, eventually the profile seems to cross, but until then, the computer is unusable.

We checked the speed for the server, connectivity and what folder permissions were set correctly on the share and the folder itself.

Are there any ideas as to why the profiles would take so long to create?  Sometimes it is the first time that the user is connected or the tenth, so we also know that it is not a question of creating folder.

    Any help is greatly apprecaited.

Are you running AV?  I've heard cases where AV slowed everything?  If AV is selected, then disable and see if the performance seems better.

When you installed the agent view you choose the song "USB redirection '? In my view, it is not selected by default in the standard installation and when you activate this feature, he throws a warning that you must accept too much security.

  • Windows, clones and persona management saved credentials

    Hi all

We have an infrastructure of clone of work with Persona management put in place. Everything works very well only our users complain that their windows credentials are not saved to a network share that they use, what is actually the case: once you change the clones, even though you checked to remind the credentials box, your windows password safe is empty and the credentials must be entered again to access the remote share.

I looked around, I found this KB:

    http://KB.VMware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US & cmd = displayKC & externalId = 2052573

As I understand it, touring credentials is not supported, and this can be done. Which, I guess, sort of logic.

However, I came across this post on the forum:

Finds support in the management of Persona to CryptProtectData

Where is the original says that "View Persona Manager does support the Windows API data protection.' poster.

I'm confused here: is it possible to wander the credentials for network shares or not? If so, how this reach you? If not, is it final or is it planned to get this working?

    Thanks for your comments,

    Marc

For everyone wondering the same thing and do not find an answer, upgrading the client to view the clones to 6.0.1 fixed the problem.

  • Samsung NC-240 - Windows 7 with VMware View connection problem

    Hi all

My Samsung NC-240 is set to connect to my server VMware View Connection Manager. I can connect to one of my Windows XP via PCoIP or RDP virtual desktop very well, but I can't connect to my virtual Windows 7 desktop. Whenever I try to connect, it will be wrong and tell them "Session Lost!"

Research in the NC-240 event log, I see the following:

11 d, 00:01:09.260 > ready to connect to the host

    11 d, 00:01:21.990 > connection to the host (10.3.70.110, 00-00-00-00-00-00)

    11 d, 00:01:22.020 > using resolution 1920 x 1080 at 60 Hz on DVI port 0

    11 d, 00:01:22.150 > CONNECTED (10.3.70.110, 00-00-00-00-00-00)

    11 d, 00:01:22.160 > receiving power state updated: S0

    11 d, 00:01:22.960 > CURRENT SESSION

    11 d, 00:01:23.600 > (MGMT_RDP): invalid capability length (20)

11 d, 00:01:23.600 > connection down (RDP protocol error detected)

    11 d, 00:01:23.680 > lost Session!

    11 d, 00:01:23.680 > (MGMT_RDP): INIT: received unknown event 0 x 20!

Here is the information of the current version of my NC-240:

Part number of the firmware: FW010034

    Hardware version:

    Firmware Version: 3.0

    Firmware Build ID: v250

    Firmware version Date: December 7, 2009 15:55:15

    PCoIP processor revision: 1.0

    Bootloader Version: 2.1

    Bootloader version identifier: v163

    Bootloader Build Date: August 28, 2008 16:56:13

Here is the information of the current version of my Agent and VMware View VCM:

  • VMware View Manager admin page not found

    Hello!

I just installed VMware see connection to the server, and I am trying to open http://localhost/admin but the page is not found!

What service use this webservice? (I can't find it under services)

    Any ideas?

(I installed the version 4.5 on a Windows 2003 R2 and the installation was successful)

VMware View component framework provides the event logging, security and services COM + framework for View Manager. This service must be running for the proper functioning of View Manager.

One more note, you cannot connect to the Administrator display via a Web browser when the SSL setting for your customers to view is not compatible with the URL that you use to connect to view administrator. If you disable the SSL parameter, you can not use the https protocol in the URL.

Have you tried https://localhost/admin instead of http://localhost/admin?

    Best regards

    Ezz

  • VMware View connect not not using Nexus 7 (2013)

Hi all.  I am a new user and have problems even connect using my Nexus 7 (2013).  I use VMware View version 2.3.3 - 1749018 on Android 4.4.2.  Whenever I try to connect to a virtual desktop, I get an error "Lost connection to server."  I can always regardless of my physical location or what wireless network that I use.  In all the same places I can always connect with my iPhone.

Any ideas? Sorry if I left out some key info.

Thanks for the quick response.  I went through your steps and unfortunately had no chance.  But I managed to get connected in a different way, maybe it will help others.

My Nexus 7 is set up with two accounts different profiles/user.  The first and main is my personal account.  The second (child) account is my business account.  I managed to install the VMware View app on my work account profile, but it would never connect.  I tried to install the VMware View app on my personal account profile and it connect to 100% of the time.  So, there is some difference in my settings on these two profiles OR child accounts have some inherent differences I don't know.

If someone else has a similar problem, try using your main account to connect!

  • Floating pool, the persona management, printer by default do not forget

I deployed a small floating pool view 5.0 with management Persona has helped a few users, so far, everything seems to work very well.

The only exception is the default printers, look to the top of the printer in the Directory network, adds to their VM and affects as their default printer. Will use this VM all day with no problems, but when they disconnect and reconnect the next day, the default printer is not known.

Printers are added, just the default printer is not fair. It comes down to the "Microsoft XPS Writer".

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

    Thanks in advance!

    -Michael

Sorry for not updated this thread a long time ago. I could solve this problem by using a .vbs script connecting to add printers to network and then set them as default.

I just posted more details about this on my blog today:http://miketabor.com/set-default-printer-view-floating-desktop-persona-management/

    Hope this helps someone else!

  • Microsoft System Center Operations Manager Pack for vmware view?

According to the link below, there is a vmware view management pack available for MS operations manager:

    http://blogs.VMware.com/view-point/2010/08/view-45-modernizing-the-Windows-desktop.html

Where can I download this? I was not able to find it in the download portal.

This package is actually available on the login server view itself once you have it installed.

Information on integration with SCOM is found beginning on page 51 of the Guide found here VMware View integration:

  • T5520 HP with Windows CE 5.0 can not connect to VMware View Portal

    Hello people:

I tried the VMware View 3 solution in a test environment, I have already tested with my laptop configuration

and when I decided to start trying with a thin client questions start

First of all, I look in the compatibility guide for a customer support light HP and I got the HP T5520 with a Windows CE 5.0 operating system.

and when I try to log in to the portal to view VMware via http:// < Server ip & gt; I got an error indicating that the operating system is not compatible wich I do not understand because the compatibility guide says it's compatible

After that I tried to do a manual install through execution of the installer and the system there is no enough space to install which is meaningless too.

I'll apreciate any help because I can't understand how this model may appear as compatible and give me this questions to test my VMware View solution

    Thank you

It was indeed option (2), it's fairly well hidden on the HP website, but you need to download their "VDM Broker Add-On for Microsoft Windows CE": http://h20000.www2.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/SoftwareDescription.jsp?lang=en&cc=us&prodTypeId=12454&prodSeriesId=500832&prodNameId=500833&swEnvOID=2051&swLang=13&mode=2&taskId=135&swItem=vc-67534-1

It can be found in the section "Software - System Management" of their support for the HP T5520 download page. Thanks to wponder and the team of the HP Alliance for pointing me to the finger in the right place.
