  Not yet. vSphere 5.1 is the latest version, but he had published patches (a and b).

  I have a brand new installation of VMware (more Essentials).  I'm also very new to the world of VMware, if I'm still struggling to catch.

  When I connect via vSphere Client and select "Open Console" for any of my virtual machines, the mouse becomes too slow and nervous.

  Data sheet:

  • I have 2 guests;  Total 12 VMs
    
  • I see the slow mouse even if my client is installed on XP - Pro or Server 2003.
    
  • All virtual machines are Server2008 R2.  All the parameters of servers run by default.
    

  I saw an old discussion of similar on this site trouble but no final resolution.

  Welcome to the community,

  solutions for Windows XP/2003 and 2008 R2 are different. Unless already done so, install VMware Tools in the virtual machines.

  for Windows 2003 and XP follow http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1002450 to enable hardware acceleration

  follow http://kb.vmware.com/kb/1016770 for Windows 2008 R2

  Don't forget to adjust the video RAM as described in the article, otherwise you can end up with a black console!

• VMWare 3.5: Cannot read the permissions of ad groups

  I have a problem and I hope that someone here will be able to provide me with an answer to a possible solution. We have several servers VMWARE 3.5 in our infrastructure, some are grouped, some are not. We use groups Active Directory (AD) to assign permissions to roles of VMWare.

  THE ENVIRONMENT:

  In AD, we have the following groups:

  Center Virtual VMware - directors; Center Virtual VMware - supervisors; Center Virtual VMware - managers

  Administrators full privileges to the VMWARE hosts.

  Supervisors are only allowed to turn on and turn off the machines, as well as connect via the console.

  Managers are able to see servers and access the console.

  THE SCENARIO

  I add the 'Vmware Virtual Center - supervisors' group at VMware and assign roles to turn on and turn off the machines as well as the console.

  The ad group contains multiple users within which are members of a particular area.

  THE PROBLEM:

  When I log in as one of the users in the role of 'VMware Virtual Center' - supervisors, I get no ability to turn on or turn off machines, or make access to the console.

  When I give to the individual user a role assigned to the power on and turn off the machine and access to the console, it works very well.

  Is there a bug in VMware 3.5 who does not have permissions to pass through groups based on its members? Or is there a configuration that is necessary to enable that?

  If anyone can shed some light on this, I would.

  vCenter was perhaps the caching of information.  Alternatively, the data of the Group had not yet replicated.  In any case, although it work now.

  I have a Windows 8 for laptop HP Pavilion g6-2230sa Notebook PC and everytime I try to leave the homegroup I get a message saying "Windows could not remove your computer from homegroup."

  Just picked up a great vSphere environment of the Admin who wrote nothing down. It has configured all VM paging files to be placed on a dedicated LUN, that LUN fills up now. So if I want to put the VM swap with the virtual machine files other files I need to edit [and to connect to each host], but what would be the effect on the direct environment?

  all the vm must be restarted?

  and of course, that I'll need to map the size of swap file to VMDK location to make sure I didn't accidentally filling the virtual computer production LUNS.

• BB10 Simulator - cannot leave the browser

  I did test my Web site. It's not that I * need * to return to the home screen, it's just that I can not find how do. None of the buttons on my physical keyboard it (I assume at least an emulator maybe a button on a real device that returns to the home screen, bad unfortunately not), and the browser is not an option to leave. • The host is licensed with VMware vSphere 5 Standard. The license of vCenter Server edition doesn't support VMware vSphere 5 Standard.

  So I disconnected a host to vcenter server and now I get this error message when I try to reconnect to this host.  The host has been previously connected without any problem.  Vcenter servers as esxi are 5.5.0.  Anyone had any experience with this?

  Unfortunately, I can't tell you for sure why it worked previously. Maybe it worked with an earlier version, or hosts have been added while vCenter Server was still running in trial mode. Anyway, if you have a license of Essentials for vCenter Server, you must also license processors Essentials the Essentials version is sold as a kit.

• Install ESXi cannot see the RAID array

  I tried to install ESXi 5.1 on a HP Proliant Dl160 G6, with 4 hard drives of 2 TB in RAID 1 + 0 array, using a HP b110i controller. When it comes time to select the installation media ESXi to, the installer sees the 4 physical disks, rather than the logical disk that I created with the controller.

  The b110i is a RAID controller-based software that does not support the ESXi.  As you have noticed it will not recognize the individual disks and it work perfectly with them as individual disks.  But if you are looking for a RAID array, you need to add another RAID controller.

  We have two type network connection in my lab, one is internal net, all computers on this network type internet access themselves, but they could access the internet through a proxy server. one is external net, all computers on this network type internet access themselves.

  My vmware server has two network adapters, vmnic1 and vmnic0. vmnic1 is used for the internal network, vmnic0 is used for external NET. I put a serval host in my vmware server, one of them is used for the proxy, all the computers in my lab can access internet through this proxy host via vmnic1.

  Proxy host, I add two configurations for iptables as below:

  iptables - table nat - append POSTROUTING - out-interface eth0-j MASQUERADE

  iptables - append forward - interface eth1-j ACCEPT

  Further, I have another server in vmware, I also can connect to vmware server successful if my connection to the computer's internal network. and this server network two are the same.

  Management is necessary for both networks separately?

  Because if not, you can move the Group of management to the internal network on vmnic1 ports...

  Create a vmkernel port and turn it on to management, assign an IP address and it should be possible to connect to the internal network.

  The same opinion here. Preinstalled operating system is corrupt and best option for you is to install the OS by using Toshiba recovery image.

  If you use the recovery for the OS installation disk will be formatted the whole HARD disk and before doing this backup all your important data.
  You probably have HARD drive option too (F8 > fix my computer). In this case, the C partition will be formatted only and all data saved on the second partition will be safe.

  All the additional applications you ve installed in the past will be therefore deleted after installation operation, you need to install it again.

• Trying to install Zune. I get an error message 'cannot create the folder' and access is denied. Why.

  I tried your suggestion. However, it did not work. I also did a disc clean after loading Win 7 32 bit and which did not help either. I solved the problem by creating a new folder in the program folder has no name but the left is like "new folder" Zune then installed in the folder. Trying to rename the new folder, it would not except Zune so I just named it 'Phone' Zune works well, thank you for your help.
