Voice command key

The voice command on Moto VU204 key can be a bit annoying, because it's just where his thumb is when put it in a Pocket, etc.  It tends to involuntarily turn a lot.  Is it possible to disable?  (I found a post using Google suggesting dislodging the button with a knife;) "I'm only interested in a way that will not damage the phone.)

Please see possible solutions.

  • Assign the hardware key as a shortcut to the voice command

Hello, I've just jumped ship from the Iphone Razr HD and love it.

I do miss the home key on my old iphone in which, while driving, I could hold it then said 'Call home' and he would compose without having to take my eyes off the road. I love the voice command which is on this phone, but would like to make a hardware keyboard shortcut to work similar to the iphone. Is there a way I can attribute that to one volume or other button? I really hope it can be done because I have seen most of the phones have some sort of feature like this.

In addition, do not know why, but I couldn't find my serial number of phones in 'about phone'. I had to dig the box for it. I looking in the wrong place? Usually, this is where is the serial number.

Thanks in advance. I've always owned Motorola phone and am very happy to be back. The features of this phone are amazing compared to the Iphone.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones turn off voice commands

I recently bought a Blackberry Bold with Rogers Mobile.  When to put the "BOLD" in his case (or remove it), I seem to accidentally hit the button for voice commands on a regular basis.  I do not currently use voice commands.  Is it possible to disable this button or change so that double clicking is necessary to activate voice commands?

Thank you for any advice.  I love the phone, but it becomes a real nuisance!

On your BB, go to Options > keyboard/screen, scroll down to the RIGHT and to the LEFT the convenience keys and put the one that is currently set for your voice dialing, none, or another application.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones BB Bold crashes when pressing accidentally voice command after button mute

    Hi all

I have a problem with my "BOLD" blocking completely upward when I accidentally press the voice command butten during or just after I pressed the button mute to leave the "BOLD" go in standby mode.

In addition to this problem, I had the same problem as my "BOLD" stopped working while I was composing an email yesterday.

Is there a solution to this problem? Or do I have to get a new one?

Hello and welcome to the Forums of Support BlackBerry.com.

Is the command button of your voice on your left or right convenience key? Change this to anything, or another application options > screen/keyboard.

Also, other glitches as suspended while composing an email, with the BlackBerry device powered on, remove the battery a few seconds and then reinsert the battery to restart.

The use of the battery has increased since the update to ios 10. Also, why can not disable the voice command. It's the most boring on the new update.

Depending on what you mean by "voice command", either:

Settings / general / accessibility / VoiceOver / OFF, or

    Settings / Siri / OFF

As for your use of the battery, you can check what app pulls most of its use in the settings / battery.  A new version of the app is sometimes problematic, not necessarily iOS or iPhone.  If you see a unusual % of use of a particular application, or force-to leave it removal/reinstalling it or remove it until an update comes.  If anything seems unusual, it might be a problematic installation of iOS, in which case, you could backup your iPhone and restore it:

  • I would like to ask how to disable voice command in iOS 10

I have a speech impediment, so I do not use SIRI control or voice. Ios9 voice control screen appears rarely, but I updated to ios10 in my 6s, that voice control screen appears desperately all the time that the home button has a greater sensitivity. I understand a short press is necessary but be handicapped with limited dexterity a shorter press is harder to do. I understand, that I have, it off for lock screen. Can I completely disable voice control screen so that it never appears?

    Hello wheeliespeedy!

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I see you want to completely disable the voice on your iPhone control so that the screen is never displayed. I completely understand that seek to do this, because I did it myself. I can help you with this.

You can do this by disabling the Siri. Voice command and voice control settings are not available when Siri is turned on. To disable Siri, go to settings > Siri > select Disable Siri.

Additional information can be found in the section of voice control of the iPhone user Guide.

    All the best.

  • Disable voice command in iOS 10

I'm not able to turn off the voice command. It's really annoying that when I hold the long home button, it activates the voice control. I tried to activate Siri, but the application does not appear in my settings. Maybe because I don't want to use Siri. How can I solve the problem of voice control?

Voice command cannot technically be disabled.

This workaround will allow to Siri that replaces voice command, allow a password locking and then disable the lock screen Siri. This allows to keep the Home running the voice command or button Siri if the screen is locked, preventing calls from Pocket.

    • Open the settings app.
    • Click on Siri (below its option n greater than touch id and password)
    • Turn Siri ON. This may seem counterproductive, but you will need to turn on Siri first in order to substitute the voice control
    • Return to the settings menu and select 'password '.
    • Tap "turn passcode on" and create a password if you have not already.
    • Tap on the "Voice Dial" option to disable the voice dialing.
    • Tap on the option "Siri" turns off Siri to the lock screen.
    • Set 'Password required' to 'Immediately'. This will force your phone to require a password as soon as you turn the screen off, preventing calls from Pocket.
    • Lock your phone. Now that your settings are correct, you will not be able to start the voice command or Siri when long-pressing the Home button while the phone is locked in your pocket.

    Hope this works for you...

downside: you have now turned on siri. as soon as you turn it off, voice dialing is to a previous state...:

  • How to disable voice command in iOS 10?

Hello. I have an iPhone 6s and just downloaded iOS 10. Now, when I accidentally the home button in now too long, it makes a loud rattling sound and shows the voice command. I do not want; I work in a booth and don't want to make so much noise, never use the voice command.

I went into settings > Touch ID & password > insured VAD was off. If this is not possible in the iOS 10, how downgrade to iOS 9.x? Thank you.

Hello, you can use this statement to turn off voice control http://www.wikihow.com/Turn-Off-Voice-Control-on-Your-iPhone

Moreover, there is no way to downgrade to iOS.

  • How can I disable the voice command all together?

I hope someone can help me.  In recent months I have experienced a problem with my iPod Touch [128 GB] which I have not had in the past.

I plug my headphones to listen to music when I'm about to go for a walk.  However, soon after my iPod in my pocket, the voice command is activated (see image).  I have the firm down, but I still have problems.  The music I listen to speed upward (as it is sent) or he's going to jump until then randomly in the track or other tracks.  The voice command is activated again at irregular intervals.

I don't know if it has something to do with my headphones (attached image), which has a built-in microphone.  The reality is that I never use the voice command and don't think I ever have to use it on my iPod.

I read on the deactivation of Siri, but Siri is already disabled.

    Thank you very much

You can disable VC turning Siri.

I would try another pair of headphones. I suspect that the headset turn on VC.

  • I upgraded to ois9.3.3 and now my voice command does not work

Yesterday, I did the upgrade of the ois 9.3.3 and since my voice command will not work.  I searched the internet for advice on how to fix but nothing that they suggest work.  How can I get rid of this upgrade and go back to what I had which works or solve this problem.  I need voice control for I can be hands-free while driving.

Have you tried to force reboot the phone by holding down the button sleep and home for 10 seconds, until the Apple logo come back? You won't lose data by doing this, but he cn cure some problems after installing new software or applications.

Have you tried to downgrade from iOS?

  • How can I solve very slow scrolling with the mouse when you press the command key? (MacBook Pro, Lion, no problem when using trackpad, no problem with other web browsers, other mice have the same problem)

Scrolling speed is fine, but when you press the command key and then it becomes very slow.

He does it with a mouse, but not with the trackpad.
It does when the modules are disabled.
No problem on Safari or Chrome.
    No problem on PC.

I think it all started when I went form a MacBook with Snow Leopard on a MacBook Pro with Lion.

Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks in advance!

You use the mouse wheel to scroll?

There are some prefs mousewheel, which control the behavior when you press the modifier keys.

You can set the key to the action of each to 0 for normal scroll.

  • Home Kit is just the voice commands?

So, just to confirm my interpretation of this...  Kit home of Apple is mainly for use SIRI.  This isn't an app that brings together all your smart house equipment. Fix?  It's just for voice commands?  Not looking forward to a folder and by jumping in and out of different applications... This is not ideal.  Thanks for any help or suggestions you guys have to offer.

Yes, HomeKit is just a framework that allows to communicate with each other and the services built into iOS with other applications. There is no Apple app puts it all together.

Apple let know what you think about this here...
