• Windows 10 - ADE opens outside the desktop computer

  I upgraded to Windows 10 and noticed a lot of people say that ade4 is not compatible with it.  I have this problem as well, but what I notice is that the window for ADE opens in reality outside of the office.  If I click the task view button in the taskbar, it pulls the window ADE by the left side of the screen.  The miniature window shows ADE as it should look like, but I can't actually open in the office.  Someone had pulled through this program in Windows 10 in all?  I need this working for school and I don't want to go back to Windows 7 just for this program a.  Adobe, FIX!

  To resolve this problem, I uninstalled ADE4 and installed ADE3 instead.  ADE3 works with Windows 10, or at least it did for me anyway.

  With respect to the construction, you must explicitly add dynamic screws to the list of source files. These must be in the list "Still included" in the tab "Source Files". Please see the documentation for the App Builder for details and additional information.

• Void VI does not update when printing

  I try to print a report that I have created Sub vi in my main vi.  I have several entries that are generated in the main vi I want to put in a custom report, then print.  Currently, I have the report should be generated each time that I have pres the 'p' key on the keyboard. A pop-up message and ask me if I want to print.  When I say yes, none of my entries appear on the printed document - just a blank template.

  I have attached a few screenshots to view the code.

  Figure 1 is where I prompts the user to print and also send the entries in a table to be used in the sub vi

  Figure 2 is the front of the Sub vi (it's where the inputs are not being updated!)

  Well, maybe I'm wrong, but try something simple as value an implicit property node and see if that returns an error when no front panel is available. I think it will be.

• NEED HELP FAST - façade freezes when I run my program. I have all the events to the interaction of the façade. I don't have a chance to launch an event that I can't even click on anything whatsoever on the front panel?

  I'm pragmatic disabling most of the façade with a particular event. This freeze happened when I launched this event and then stopped the program in the middle of the event. While the program has been frozen at all times no matter how many times I turned on my computer and turned off and restarted labview. I tried with pragmatism, allowing some of these objects on the front façade of the loop of events without result. What else could it be? When I select the program stops at the structure of the event and is waiting for him. When I have a finite number of thread for the time terminal timeout the timeout event runs and then waits for the structure of the event and I'm still not allowed to do anything.

  OK, the moral of the story when programmatically disabling an object to front panel make sure you have the code that allows very early in the program, changing constantly in the middle of the program changes its active status. I tried enabling some of these objects, but not all. When I tried allowing each of them, I realized that everything in the deactivation of the tab control tab control disables not only the ability to change the tab control. IT WASN'T THE STRUCTURE OF THE EVENT. The guys help OR on the phone told me that the structure of the event was obviously the question. I'm fine now.

  The work around works of Jean.  It would be nice if Adobe provided a real difficulty however.

  I have ADE installed 4.03.  The problem will occur as soon as that ADE is closed and reopened.    It takes so the patch every time allows you to download a book ADE.

  1. for Overdrive - select a book and click Download. -pop - up - select - Save file. - under the open with select - acsm_auto_file - download the file of social mobilization in your download directory.

  2. expand the Explorer open the file - go up to the OS (c)-

  -go to Program files (x 86) - enlarge

  -to enlarge Adobe

  -go to Adobe Digital Editions and the left click.

  -On the right part of the screen right click on Digitaleditions.exe.

  -Pop - up menu - on the left, click PROPERTIES

  -Pop up to select COMPATIBILITY

  -at the top of the menu compatibility, choose the resolution of compatibility issues run

  -Pop up to select the troubleshooting program

  -Pop up choose the program worked in earlier versions of windows, etc.

• Can't get ADE to recognize my kobo - help!

  Today I bought an aura of kobo. Bought a book from kobo stall that reads very well.

  The main reason I got was an ereader for eBooks in the public library. If I tried to get a book from the public library on the kobo. Successfully transferred a few books from the public library to the kobo via ADE but when I tried to read the books on the kobo, I got a message saying the document was not allowed. Advice on the web, I deleted ADE in the folder of kobo on my pc in order to force the ADE to start from scratch and reinstall on the kobo (and files ADE in kobo file had said that there is an error). ADE recognize today the kobo at all. ADE installed on another computer, but had the same problem, it does not recognize the kobo. I tried so many things to try to fix the problem that I'm completely confused. Oh, and along the way I have done a factory reset on the kobo.

  Hey, I think I have it solved!

  (My library ebook account finally unlocked) I tried the solution suggested by Overdrive or use an earlier version of ADE. Did not work. Reinstalled ADE v4, downloaded some books from the library and copied on my Kobo... and I can open and read books on the kobo!

  It has been so much hassle to get to that point I half expected this not changed, but for now, I'll just enjoy reading my library on my kobo books.

  Marilyn, I think that you misunderstood my comment about 'signature'  You do

  on the Adobe website once and it will record your use of ADE.  When

  you have ADE on your computer, you should have an icon on your

  desktop, that says "Adobe Digital Editions".  When you click on it and

  Open it, ADE will show the page from the library on your computer.

  Many if not most of the libraries offer an option that allows you to choose the file

  type you want to download (the same is true for many ebook sites).  If you

  chose "epub" or "Adobe epub" of their option, the download process

  opened ADE on your computer and as you choose between open

  or SAVE the ebook.  Whatever it is, the process would be directly load the ebook

  in ADE - and would open ADE in playback mode, if you said "OPEN."  You do not have

  mention if you have downloaded your ebooks library before or after

  installed ADE.  If you downloaded previously, they were stored on your

  hard drive.

  I don't know your level of comfort with technical things on your PC, so I

  have to make certain assumptions.  The first is that you are comfortable

  managing files with Windows and can use it to search for files on your PC.  In

  this case, it will be your downloaded ebooks.  The most common application

  use to do this is Windows Explorer (NOT Internet Explorer) because it

  allows you to watch all the files and folders on your PC. My comments below

  assume that you can do.

  The process to bring ebooks on your hard drive in ADE is relatively easy,

  but we must know where the ebook on your hard drive.  You start by

  ADE opening in library view.  Place your cursor over the word 'Library' and one

  small arrow will appear next to him.  Place your cursor on this arrow and a

  drop-down menu appears.  The list of choice 'Add the item to the library' and

  Click on it.

  A menu will appear allowing you to specify what file/ebook you want to add.

  It is practically the same menu as one in Windows Explorer and you can browse

  When you are finished making transfers, you can close ADE.  Your willingness to ereader

  Update for a few moments, and when it's done, you can disconnect it.

• Dynamic screen low level Sub vi high-level VI main road

  I have a program VI that inturns calls a lot under vi mode step by step. I need to display the path of lowest level vi in the top level vi main. (here in my program, I have 3 levels of void / vi) and I need the path least void level vi to be disaplyed on the façade of the main vi (constraint: I should not hardcode the path), the time particular VI is selected. The other constraint is that the path must be posted before the sub vi runs, (reason: I need to get the path before, dynamically, such that I can view the slot front of the vi in the main vi Panel pane Panel) the raison d'etre to display exectuion of lowest level under vi... Y at - it an option in Lab mode that allows this feature. I also tried reference variable, but it displays only after that the VI is completely executed. Help, please! Thank you..

  I wrote code examples to explain what I meant in the previous post.

  

  The only catch is that you must know the name of the Subvi low level before you run the highest level Subvi.

  If this isn't the case, you might get away with reading the name of the Sub - VI low level of an indicator of the (default) string at the edge of the Subvi toplevel Panel using 'get command value' invoke node or something.

  Hi Paul,.

  You must configure the default application to open as ADE. When you download a file of BCAM, select the option to backup the disk rather than directly open. You can right click on the file and choose "Open with." Select 'Choose another app' and ADE. There is a checkbox that says something in the sense of "Always use this application to open files XXXXXX." Once you do this, it will open in ADE.

• ADE does not recognize second eReader

  My sister bought a Kobo eReader a few months ago, but because of an old Mac OS on his computer, she has difficulties registering its Kobo.  I downloaded the Kobo software on my computer so she could enroll.  She recorded her Kobo with his user name and I've implemented the ADE on my computer with my Adobe ID and also copied ADE on his computer.  Because she didn't have the Kobo software installed on his computer, the ADE on his computer (in my name with my ID) was not recognizing its eReader when it is plugged. In order to get things to work, we plugged just its Kobo on my computer and it could use ADE to my computer to transfer borrowed from its Kobo library books.  Everything worked well.

  Now I have a Kobo eReader I want to allow to my ADE as well, but even if I recorded my Kobo with my own username (the same as my Adobe ID), which is different from its record Kobo username, when I connect my Kobo and open ADE, the Kobo eReader appears as a recognized device, but it shows content that have been copied in its Kobo not mine.  Rather than recognize my drive as another, ADE seems to 'think' it's its Kobo (I see that copies of books that have been copied to the Kobo, but see that only thumbnails and they can not be opened).  If I try to copy my library books ADE to my new Kobo, which is currently empty, I get a message thatâ the book that I am trying to copy is already there.  If I choose to do a duplicate then I see the thumbnail twice under the shelf of Kobo, but when I eject my Kobo, no files have been copied.

  One of the things I gleaned from this forum, is that when we register the devices with Kobo, each device must get some kind of identify files that will then be used when approval by ADE.  If this is the case, each of the Kobo eReaders should have unique information identifier, but is there a way to 'say' the computer who's who and get permission to use the new Kobo with my Adobe ID?  All the tips to find out how to get two set readers up and working with ADE would be appreciated.  I'm not trying to copy books purchased from one eReader to another (I understand the restrictions in this case), but rather to copy library borrowed from every Kobo books.  The library permissions allow the books to be transferred to multiple devices.

  Update:

  After talking with someone from Kobo STOP, we found ourselves experience my Kobo eReader (command + shift + e), even though it had not actually been permitted.  I plugged the Kobo, ADE open and the authorization window appeared allowing me to allow my device.  Curiously, my empty Kobo was still showing thumbnails of books copied to Kobo my sister, so when I copied the book from the library of my shelf my eReader library I got a saying the file already existed at this place (even if it was not a file there) and asked if I wanted to skip, replace or duplicate the file.  I chose to reproduce the file and it showed well in my Kobo.

• Download Library ebooks through ADE in a corner

  I'm a librarian and soon will animate the bosses how to download e-books to the library of ADE, then transfer in their corner.  I felt I had a pretty decent knowledge how to do all that, but then I read the forums and now not sure if!  I wish it was easier, and we can better help our bosses!

  I have some questions I would like to get clarification before classes start-no need for the blind lead the blind so to speak.

  1. as regards allowing ADE on computer w / AdobeID and the Nook Regid.  If these can be different identifiers, or they should be the same?  I'll assume that employers coming to my class will be already registered their Nook with B & N.  When they learn that they should download ADE on his computer and 'allow' with an Adobe ID, if they use the same ID they recorded their corner with?  Is how important it?

  2. here are the basic steps I'll take patterns by - I'm curious to know the order and it seems a good way to go.

  1. Visit our Web Library Overdrive site
  2. Click on the link to download ADE
  3. Download ADE and authorize with AdobeID
  4. Back to the catalogue of libraries Overdrive to login, search for a book, the caisse and the download
  5. Launch of ADE (opens automatically, yes?)
  6. Connect the Nook to computer
  7. Allow the nook with the same AdobeID
  8. Nook appears in the library through the library view
  9. Drag and drop the Book Nook
  10. Wait until the end
  11. Disconnect the Nook
  12. READ (I hope)!

  Experts, please let know us if we should do 04:54 - I noticed problems in the forums where ADE does not recognize the meal.

  The steps are correct for the most part - I've added a few notes below on where things tend to go wrong.

  #5. ADE may or may not launch according to any number of security settings, if so the user will end up with a '.acsm' file - this isn't the book, but just the ticket of the claim of the library that will allow to the ADE get the book (.pdf or .epub) of Overdrive.  Loading on the corner .acsm file, do nothing.  This example gets a lot of people

  This .acsm file must already be associated with ADE, but it can launch Acrobat instead.  Make sure you do a right click on the file and choose Open/launch with and select ADE, if the browser does not ADE directly.

  Also, particularly under Windows, it may be useful to launch ADE before the browser is trying to run it.  IE can launch ADE in a 'low rights' mode which leaves no ADE talking to the internet.

  #6 connect Nook to computer

  On Mac, you must connect your Nook (or other device) to the computer before launching ADE or ADE won't see it

  #7 allow Nook...

  You're probably better off explaining this as a set of measures right after step 3.  Other that this step that must be done once, 4-12, measures must be made on a basis per pound.  If the user is unable to get the device to allow their ID, then one of the steps 8, 9, or 12 will fail.

  #9 drag and drop the Book Nook (in / using the ADE)

  Note that this must be done in ADE (where a lot of people go wrong, is that they try to use the Finder/Explorer instead of ADE)

  #11 before physically unplugging the Nook, the user must "Eject" / "Remove" feature, which may require leave them ADE everything first.  Not to do so may result in the only partially copied book in their corner.

  Note, I said Nook because it's what you were asking, but the steps should be the same for any device that directly supports the ADE (Kobo, cooler, etc...)

• Cannot download the purchased EBook using the ADE

  Hello, I bought an EBook on the internet today, and this Ebook required ADE. So I downloaded ADE and allowed my computer too after creating my ID Adobe (which I also used to log in this forum.

  The problem is that even if my payment has been processed and the sellers website which brings me to a download page when I right click to DOWNLOAD it gives me the option to save the file on my computer. However, when I save the file it is not the Ebook that is saved. Instead, there is a file named 'URLLink' file Type is 'ADOBE CONTENT SERVER MESSAGE '. When I right click on this file, it gives me the opportunity to OPEN WITH ADE. When I select this option, I get the following error message:

  License get error
  Server communication problem: E_ADEPT_IO

  I have not changed my CLOCK time. Also, I disabled my Firewall.

  But still can't download. The seller tells me that they are unable to refund my money since the problem is with my computer!

  Any suggestions or ideas? Help, please. Thank you.

  If you able to download content from Adobe sample library, but not from the library that you bought, and then unfortunately your best bet will be to contact the Bookstore (I say unfortunately, because although I hope that wrong, I feel the beginning of a run around you).
