C drive properties 'System Volume Information' and D disk error
I did previously press properties of drive C and press the safety button don't miss. Now my pc c diving all the file disappear and turn into "System Volume Information" folder only. If I try to search previous folder still can enter in through to find the name of the folder. In fact, I would like to know can get any method back to my previous version of pc that can see the folder back. Indeed pretty weird as the last time I try to use the search function can always get the desired file name that I used to have. But currently when I remember one of the things to look for, but it cannot search again. Not sure when I'm going to fix the system, the file appears again. My C drive disk space not reduce but just show the 'System Volume Information' folder but not show anything this either inside after click the folder. Not sure you have encounter this problem or not.
Next to my disk error C, my D drive also seem to mistake, as evidenced by the "Valorisation" folder but doesn't show anything. But when I click on the search button, can find some files as shown in my D drive path. Don't know how to recover my files.
If you know who are faced with this problem and the method to solve, can share with me.
In any case, thank you very much.

MacBook Air wouldn't startup after starting get disk error
I was getting full boot disk error on my Macbook Air 2012 model a few times, and then it stopped starting (folder flashing with question mark began to appear). I followed the instructions on this site If flashing question mark appears when you start your Mac - Apple Support
but failed to copy data from the drive on an external hard disk. I could see my boot (MacintoshHD) on the disc utilities drive, but could the volume seems to be not mounted. The size of the disk is 128 GB and only 12 MB seems to be free.
1 has started the macbook in recovery mode. In disk utility, run check disk and repair utilities disk for the startup disk (MacintoshHD). No problems in the generated logs. The volume is not mounted and is dimmed.
2 selected MacintoshHD and tried to unlock it. The system tried for a while, and the password window disappeared after some time with the MacintoshHD via disk utility. When I restart the machine again in recovery, disk MacintoshHD reappears in the same situation.
3. I was able to start the macbook after installing a new version of OS X in an external hard drive. During the installation of OS X, I couldn't copy the data from the volume MacintoshHD (possibly the drive is locked).
4. I could not start my macbook in safe mode.
My query is-
1. I had not backed up my data by any means. What are my current options to copy my data MacintoshHD?
2. because the MacintoshHD is locked and attempts to unlock it had no disk utility, it will help if I start my macbook target disk mode, connect to another mac via a thunderbolt cable and try to copy data?
3. What are my options now to restore my macbook? Clear my boot drive (MacintoshHD) and reinstall OS X?
Thank you
Dip
The next trick could unlock your boot drive.
Boot into recovery mode, open Terminal.app and type
Mount - uw /.
close Terminal.app and reboot.

Volume shadow copy error after moving to MSATA SSD on R7 - 572
A while back I cloned the value default 1 TB SATA drive on an MSATA SSD plugged into the slot unit MSATA.
At the time I had been unable to conceive the MSATA as boot drive, while the original (also bootable drive) was in the system such that it does not appear in the BIOS from startup list.
As I did not need the 1 TB, I just removed and have used the system very well with just the MSATA SSD.
Today, I tried to make an Image of Windows backup system and ran a (below) Volume shadow copy error
Volume shadow copy service operation failed. (0x807800A1)
Writer has encountered a transient error... (0x800423F3)
I check all the main remedy online by ensuring that all VOlume shadow copy served are running, but without success. I feel that the fact that I'm on the SSD MSATA which was not visible in the list of the BIOS boot maybe being tied to the backup crashing.
Anyone running the R7-572 on the MSATA port that is able to make a system image backup?
Thanks for your comments
It took me awhile, but I finally understood what was preventing the creation of the image of the system.

It's the tool that I used to clone my drive to a SSD, I decide to check it out.
The thread mentioned using GPT fdisk utility found on sourceforge, so I downloaded the tool.
You just run the executable in administrator mode. Find how to use it was a little hard, but basically the commands below does the job
0:-enabled disk 0, which is my drive.
I - to view the information on each partition
It will ask you the number. This allows you to see the names. Some of my partitions had some very strange names did not, we had a quote.
I checked what names when used on another laptop and decided to appoint mine as follows (I think you can use any name)
first 600 MB partion: database partition
Second partition of 300 MB: EFI system partition
Thrid 128 MB partion: Microsoft Reserved partition
Fourth 205GB partition: partition database
Fifth 17 GB partition: partition recovery
To change the name of the partition, use the command
c ask for the number of the partition, then the name
Then save with

I rebooted, tried the system image backup and no problem this time.
I lost a full day on this topic, so I hope it can help someone else in the future

I kept getting an error of my Norton internet security. When I call there suport tech, they made me do somethings, but nohong has worked. Then they wanted me to try to export the registry. When I wnt in regedit to export it. He said that there was an error writing the file, there may be a disk or FFL system error.
Assuming that there really may be a disk or file system error, try to perform a 'chkdsk' on your hard drive. Use the /R if running chkdsk or check both options if you use the GUI version.

My iPod nano 2nd generation gets disk errors after installing iTunes?
I use my iPod nano 2nd generation for... Wow little almost 10 years now and of course is not as sensitive, a little laggy sometimes, battery life isn't as good but still never had real problems with it that can be repaired by a reset. Well not until now and I have not really money to spend to get a new, in particular the fact that practically it still works fine on his own, just that I can not add or remove pieces of her more.
The problem
It seems that the computer has trouble reading the device. Whenever I plug my iPod nano 2nd generation USB in my laptop (Windows 10), which has some sort of interaction with it freezes. For the moment I plug in, programs such as Winamp, iTunes, File Explorer (if I click my computer-> try to right click on the drive, that says all F: drive instead of the usual name recognized as "My iPod."), the Device Manager when I try to turn Apple iPod USB Driver and the small icon in the system tray when you try to eject the drop-down list no longer appears, all these programs themselves just freeze and unresponsive until I unplug the device. In Event Viewer, the moment where I plug it, it gets spammed by looping errors to:
Error: The device, \Device\Harddisk1\DR21, has a bad block.
ATTENTION: An error was detected on device \Device\Harddisk1\DR21 during a paging operation.
So, basically, it seems that the computer is blocked just not try to read and recognize the device, which means that I can't really do anything with it. The iPod itself seems to work fine, I can hear songs, recharge the battery and other things, earlier I can't add or remove pieces of her.
Stuff leading up to it
A year or two before, I used to manage the ipod via itunes (a relatively old version of time too I guess since I almost never update) until I formatted my laptop some time ago and never bored computer reinstall itunes. Since then, I really didn't need to change anything to my iPod and just use Winamp (my default music player) to the add/remove songs when I needed to. Today, I decided to install iTunes because there are some things that winamp cannot do as add embedded lyrics and also winamp blurs the sorted list of the song. Since then, after you have installed the new iTunes, start freezing and program I get the problems described above. There might be a chance that iTunes was not the real culprit and the disc was already beginning to get corrupted or something somehow, but I can't think of anything that's happened before this problem started.
I tried many things
- Uninstalled iTunes and all the other stuff related to the installation as pie, Apple Mobile Device Support... .etc
- Reinstall the device driver USB Apple iPod. When I turn it off (Plug in iPod-> iPod poster 'do not disconnect'-->--> Device Manager driver right click-> disable-> Device Manager freezes up-> unplug ipod-> Device Manager-> thaws plug ipod in) ipod becomes simply the State of charge. Steps to reinstall is the same (need to plug and unplug).
- Reset iPod in now the Center button + menu button.
- Will then resetting operation rewind + Centre button iPod diagnostic mode. It is not a test disc hard because I guess nano doesn't have a disc hard just flash ram. Anyway, when I select SDRAM QScan he only says: "SDRAM OK." NAND_SPEC gives "NandLBA = 1982464". Flash gives Checksum "Checksum is 0x26AF".
- Wanted to try as described here to check for disk errors, but cannot because the computer cannot correctly recognize and explore freezes if I right click. I tried using 'chkdsk f:' in the command prompt, but that seems to hang as well.
- Switches mode disc reset ipod then now Center + play button. Then connect the laptop... etc, same problem.
It's a pretty old device, so it seems that support because it is very rare. I didn't install iTunes could screw up the device that it is intended to support and do anything as permanent as this one.
You must exclude a faulty USB, cable anchorage, try another, or using your power with another Apple device cable, to confirm that it works correctly.
Otherwise, your troubleshooting seems complete. If that's what you've done for disc Mode
How to put your iPod in disc - Apple Support mode
and connection to your computer causes this issue General 'freeze' with multiple processes, the iPod has possibly a hardware problem. Flash storage eventually. Or it can be a problem on the logic board of the iPod.
I suggest try to reformat the iPod using Windows, as if it were a USB flash drive. But you can only do if the system hangs when you connect iPod.
NOTE: If you find a way to reformat iPod using Windows, use FAT32 as the disc format. If there is an option to do a quick format, do a full format instead. Once the process is complete, the iPod is totally blank. You do restore using iTunes (if you are prompted or not), to the embedded iPod software.

HP Pavilion 500 series: repair disk error
Hello.
I have a problem when I turned on my PC and it said "prepairing auto repair' followed"diagnostic PC"and finally"repair disk error, it may take more than an hour"
It had been like this for 10 hours and I know something is wrong. Any help would be appreciated.
Thank you.According to the published specifications, your PC comes with a standard SATA 3 1/2 ".
After you remove the disk, check the capacity on the label, because there are different sizes available options when you buy the PC.
So, no matter what another 3 1/2 "this capacity SATA drive will do.
Good luck

SMART hard disk error (301)
I WANT m6-1120sw my friend. When I turn it on it shows SMART drive hard error, said diagnosis: "SMART Check: NOT AVAILABLE, short DST: caution. His old HDD, I replaced it with a new one, but nothing has changed. -What would be a problem with the SATA controller on the motherboard or is it something different?
Hello
Smart disk error indicates failure of hard drive. You still get any ID failure?
Since you have already replaced it & not showing is not available, the probability is for the connection by defective SATA cable or SATA controllers or motherboard itself.
What of all the other disk hard test - wide?
Try HD Tune Pro software currently running on the system.
You may have to contact HP for repair.

'Built by HARD disk error' in Portege R200
Hello
My Portege R200 shows "built-in HARD disk error" start-up. " In the BIOS screen, it says "no drive" on the HARD drive.
What should I do? I checked the connection and the drive is connected to the fine. I heard no noise when starting.
Is this HARD drive problem? or maybe motherboard? Help!Lee
The HARD disk rotates upward?
Try resetting the BIOS to default settings.
Other than that, I think that it's not just you can do except send the laptop to a repair center.

Portege 660CDT "non system disk error"!
I just bought a used 660CDT and placed a new hard drive in it. Now, I can't load an OS due to this "Invalid System Disk" error. I tried to Boot on my XP Cd, but all the same. I tried to boot from a Disk Norton and nothing more... I have no idea what is wrong...
I made sure the Bios is set to start first with the drive and not the HARD drive.
I would use this system someday, but right now I don't see what is happening.
If anyone can help I would like to thank very you much.Thank you
Robert
Houston, TexasHi Robert
AFAIK This oldie can treat only 1.3 GB HARD drive. How much capacity has a new HARD drive?
Unfortunately, it is not easy to say what is the problem, because who knows what you do exactly and what operating system you want to use. Just for info. This old Portege comes with Windows 95 and you should try to use the same operating system."Invalid system disk error means that Windows Setup could not copy the system files on the hard drive.
Also, check the download page for Toshiba under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp?service=EU and under archive, you will find some useful stuff for this old book.
Good luck!

Portege R600 built-in HARD disk error
My Portege R600 works very well until today when he came with the built-in "Disk error" message when I turned on it. He then lists the following:
Intel Boot Agent GE v1.3.24
PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable of
PXE - MOF: exit Intel Boot Agent.
Insert system disk in drive.
Press any key when ready...I'm leaving on a trip to South America and do not have access to the system disks.
Can someone help with this problem?
Hello
If you get an error of HARD drive and after that the message PXE boot, it seems that your internal HARD drive is not recognized more...
Have you already checked the BIOS if the HARD drive is it recognized?
Otherwise I think you need to replace the HARD drive :( -
Laptop 17 inch Pavilion Pc.: Smart hard disk error
Respected by all those that I got a "SMART disk error" error smart disk check has detected an imminent failure. To ensure no data loss Please save the content immediately and run the system diagnostics hard drive test. Hard drive 301.
Now what should I do?
My model number is 17-f114dx
Please advice me a good way to solve this problem.Hello
Your laptop is listed as coming with a 750 GB hard drive - the drive on the following link is an example that would be perfect for your laptop.
The procedure to replace the hard drive begins on Page 104 of your maintenance & Service Guide.
Once this is done, simply use your recovery DVD to reinstall the original operating system (Windows 8.1) on the new drive and then upgrade to Windows 10 once again.
A better option, as long as the previous installation of Windows 10 had activated Ok after the original 8.1 upgrade, would be to simply perform a new installation of Windows 10 as detailed in the guide on the following link. Note: On the activation screen, select "I don't have a product key" - Windows will activate automatically once installation is complete.
