Volume quick adjustment counter

When you use the volume buttons on the front of my Inspiron 640 m today, I noticed that for some reason, my screen volume meter has disappeared (the volume goes up and down properly when you use the buttons, but there is simply no counter displayed more).

I can't find a way to get it back; I checked the fast setting options to ensure that it was not disabled and does not.

I tried to reinstall Quickset and when you have completed the installation of the meter is displayed for a few seconds and then disappear.

My OS is windows vista Home premium 32-bit

Any help

  • Quick adjustment: CAPS lock-icon steals focus (Studio 1557, x 64)

    Hey!

I already spent the hours to solve this problem, but I don't have his term so far.

There are many many topics on the internet describing exactly the same problem but nobody can't correct responses to this day, is therefore not do for its customers of Dell?

The thing is that, when I press the CAPS Lock key, padlock at the bottom right appears and if that's the case he steals focus from the active window - boring!

This behavior is certainly because of DELL Quickset, as I already uninstalled it and boom, he's not stealing focous more
It's really annoying if you play a game, type a letter, or by writing to the word etc.

Just quick adjustment does not give you the preference to change this setting (I have the latest BIOS and installed quick adjustment, 22/12/09)

Of course the uninstallation would solve the problem, but I really like the other features that provides a quick adjustment (saving energy etc.)

Thus there is the possibility to disable this annoying icon? (Difficulty of recording, etc.)

I hope someone got the answer or Quickset will be improved to provide this setting in the future! Such a small change would make many happy customers and Dell still does not do anything, poor, as it is a very small change to the program (I know, because I am a programmer myself)

Thank you in advance, I hope you know more.

I'm no mindreader, so this XP 64 or Vista 64?

Microsoft is a free utility for XP called TweakUI, which, among other things, has a setting to prevent development applications to fly. I don't know if this will solve your specific problem, but may be worth a try.

According to this site, you can use TweakUI XP-64 with 64 Vista as long as you set the compatibility mode for TweakUI for XP. Note that the XP 64 version of TweakUI is someone changing the original Microsoft TweakUI XP - 32, and that it is not supported by Microsoft. You can download TweakUI XP 64 here

I highly recommend setting a system restore point manually before you install TweakUI or use it to make changes, this is not a 'real' Microsoft product.

  • Quick adjustment driver for a Latitude D630 with Windows 7 32 bit

I loaded Windows 7 Home Premium 32 bit on a Dell Latitude D630.  Is there a compatible with the D630 AND Windows 7 Home 32 bit Dell QuickSet driver?

I tried to use the serial number, [ADMIN NOTE: Service tag deleted by the privacy policy], in order to obtain the correct driver from the quick set button, but the pilot was offered, R182249, would not load.  The Dell site also does not list Windows 7 in the drop down menu to the operating system.  R182249 is listed as pilot QuickSet for Vista 32 or 64 bit.

    Any suggestions?

    Thank you.

R182249 is for Vista 64 bit only; It will not work on 32 bit OS.

R180762 should load on Windows 7 32 bit, it worked fine for me on a D820.

To be more specific try unofficial driver all I listed here:

  • Firmware upgrade quick adjustment TC6.2 in TC 7.0.2 SX20

    Hi all

I ve got a question about a Quick Set SX20 Codec.

I would like to make an update of TC6.2 TC 7.0.2 but I don't know how to back up and restore the unlock key and press the option key.

And my TMS worm 14.3.2, worm X7.2 VCS system, if I update the firmeware TC7.02 codec SX20--> is it supports?

wolud be thankul for your help.

You must have an active service contract on your device to you give right to the upgrade of the software of TC.

You will not need a new key to unlocking with the version TC6.1 or later (you can pass TC6.2 to TC7.0.2 without requiring a new sense key).  You have no need to "backup and restore" the keys either because they are not affected by an upgrade (although it is always good to have noticed them somewhere just in case).

If you have the SX20 TC7.0.2 software available in your TMS, you should be able to deploy it to your device without any problem, or to install new software via another method (Web Interface / WinSCP / etc).

And, Yes, there is no problem of support when you use TMS version 14.3.2 with VCS X7.2 TC7.0.2.

  • BlackBerry Smartphones Volume level adjusts when Changing music titles?

    Hi all

This is my first post on this site, so I hope that I put my request in the right place.  My company gave me a Blackberry Bold 9000, and naturally I use it for many things not to work!

When you listen to music, I find that the volume increases every time that you go to the next track.  It is very annoying, I'm always for breath with noise and having to turn down the volume on the phone.

Anyone have any ideas on how to solve this problem?

    Many thanks in advance,

    Brett

Had the phone replaced by Telstra (as I was under a business plan).  The new phone works very well.  Suggest the previous one was defective.  Thanks for the help everyone.

  • Switching between the quick adjustment sliders

I've always used Adobe Camera RAW rather than Lightroom and keep people telling me how great Lightroom is.  I always thought that both programs were essentially the same, but it does things in different ways, that's why when Lightroom was released I don't bother watching it, 'if it isn't broken"etc.

Well one reason I want to explore changing is that Adobe Camera RAW is VERY very laggy and Lightroom seems to be more keen to make adjustments to images.

    Just one problem though!

In ACR I uses a Wacom stylus to draw culture boxes, do zoom and the adjustment brush among other things.  To adjust the images I use the keyboard tab key to switch between the sliders to increase or decrease exposure etc.  It's fantastic; as I cursors stored almost in their order, I can look at the picture of all the time and move the sliders around using only the tab key.  In Lightroom however I can't switch between the sliders with the tab key and must watch the sliders (rather than the image) to enable a cursor and make an adjustment.  It's very frustrating and counterintuitive to effectiveness of time I have spend more time to a cursor to click on it instead of simply by pressing the tab once, twice etc. depending on which slider I selected.  If I use SHIFT and tab together that I can go back the other direction.

Is there a way to Lightroom to switch between the sliders without having to always click on them?  It's extremely annoying.

I thought about it.  In ACR you need to do is press the tab key to switch between the sliders in LR you first click in a box to the number (one) before it you can use the tab key to switch between the sliders and then use the arrow keys to make adjustments - Hooray!

  • Alternatives of normalization of volume to iVolume and SoundCheck

Several years ago, I found there is not enough volume of SoundCheck standards capability when you play a large number of titles through the lists of reading, or simply hanging out 'all '.  I have about 7000 titles of my iTunes library, more of which came from downloads to CD and non-iTunes torn, but there are some iTunes downloads in there also, the volumes are in every sense. Too often I was reached for the volume control on everything I used to play music through a wired / wireless iPhone and allows you to manually adjust up and down depending on the case.  So, I bought an iVolume license, and I was very happy with the product since then.  It does a great job of normalization of the volume in a large number of titles iTunes, very quickly and easily.

Unfortunately, I was able to install iVolume on a brand new 64-bit Windows 7 computer.  The continuous iVolume installation routine to tell me that I don't have iTunes installed when clearly I do, and I followed the advice of the developer to simply follow the advice of iVolume - that is, reinstall iTunes and restart it, over and over again, although this was lucky.  I saw at least another one on the advice of a person displaying the exact same installation problems on a Windows 10 system, at least 15 other 'followers', so I know I'm not alone on this installation problem. From now on, nobody intensifies to recognize, have or solve these installation problems. The developer is shaking his head, saying: "it's weird," and asking me to restart my computer.

It is the last piece of software in a long line of applications installed on my computer over the last week and change and I cannot sync my iOS devices to this new computer for personal and professional purposes more important until I get this rectified standardization iVolume/volume thing.  That's because it now, my iPhone not synchronized has still all of my tracks on it, with the volumes already adjusted by iVolume.  My plan all along was to destroy only the iPhone and set it up as new, synchronized with my brand new iTunes library, who is ready and willing to go with the exception of iVolume.  So if I sync, I lose the iVolume normalization of volume changes and go back to all that is provided by one SoundCheck.

Once more, years after a previous, so I need to look at alternatives to iVolume for Windows, for the normalization of the volume in a library of 7000 songs iTunes music.  And years later, there still do not appear to be alternatives out there.  Hats off to iVolume for cornering the market.  The only thing I've come across is MP3Gain with a AAC plug in, which seems old, scary, far from being easy to use, some irreversible, difficult to use, do I continue?  I need a reliable application of normalization volume easy to use Windows based as iVolume, or iOS application that can do the normalization of the volume level of the device.  I'm shocked after all this time, no one seems to have imposed the normalization of the volume as a show continues in the iTunes environment. SoundCheck alone is not a sufficient solution. There have got to be some audiophiles big time out there shaking their heads (and ears) each time that they play a playlist or shuffle of large amounts of tracks in their iTunes library and adjust the volume.  Somebody happened upward with a Plan B here I am missing, or do something on Mac computers that I can't take advantage of in my Windows environment.

Sorry for the mug shot, but I am not happy with this situation iVolume and lack of support to solve.  I'm ideas, maybe someone else out there has something.  Thank you to read my message and my rants, I welcome all constructive responses.

I'm shocked after all this time, no one seems to have imposed the normalization of the volume as a show continues in the iTunes environment.

In fact, complaints about the poor performance of iTunes SoundCheck were frequent on this Forum, several years ago, but have been minimal in recent times.  In fact, it seems that Apple has improved.  Although the official Apple document is all too trivial than ever (see Use Sound Check in iTunes to transform the song volume consistent - Apple Support ), some audio detectives have detected improvement.  See http://productionadvice.co.uk/sound-check-album-mode/ .

How to disable the display of pop-up the volume when adjusting it with the volume controls of the keyboard on the keyboard model KG-0851?  Although I love this feature, most of the time when running many web videos such as watch a live NASCAR race hitting the volume control causes the video to return in a small window instead of stay full screen.  I really realize, this isn't a problem of HP, but you would like to know if there is an easy way to switch to the display of the volume on-screen bar and the.  Even if I have to change the registry, I could easily create a toggle script.

P.S. I went through all the options of sound and manual control and nothing to do, but it is possible that I narrowly missed the option somewhere.

Your model has the software HP MediaSmart isn't? There HP MediaSmart SmartMenu? If that software usually causes the problem you are experiencing.

  • iPhone is Bluetooth volume

I have a new iPhone, and I feel something strange with the volume of Bluetooth.

The audio output is very well when I'm streaming of music, but when I switch to a phone call, the audio volume of my car is horrible.  It's like a speaker that is being saturated.  Some words are clear, but many others is very scratchy and distorted, regardless of who I talk on the phone.

I will not have this same problem on audio integrated on the phone using one of its outputs speakers.

I tried to adjust the volume with the volume keys and the software nothing works volume settings.  Continue to the volume keys adjust the volume for the music, even after the call is connected, it is impossible to turn down the volume of calls.

Amy help would be greatly appreciated.

    Thank you

    Michael

I had exactly the same problem. After calling support I completely renewed my iPhone via iTunes and set up like new.

A test of the car call was fine, so maybe that helps you, too. Although I don't know if my question is healed completely after the call of a single trial...

  • Using the Volume keys on keyboard Minimzes full screen video

I have a DM4 laptop, as well as a desktop computer 480 t, both running Windows 7 (64-bit).  I have the same problem with both.

Whenever I use they keys on keyboard volume to adjust the volume, all the videos that I have full screen automatically closed full-screen mode to display the volume graph.  It is not specific to any type of video, application, or Web site.  It seems to be present throughout the system.

  • Volume buttons control only the ringer volume

It seems that the volume buttons on the side of the phone just control the ringer volume. On other Android phones, ringtone and Notification volumes have been linked together for ease of use.

On the Droid Ultra/Maxx, there are four different volumes: media, ringtones, Notifications, and alarms. And none of them are interconnected. It is extremely annoying for many reasons, the main reason being there is no easy way to lower or increase the volume of ringtone and Notifications at the same time by using the volume buttons.

The ring volume is adjustable to the max, but the text message sound will be very quiet. Or the ring volume can be set down, but text message noise will be very strong.

Is it possible to fix this?

  • Cannot adjust the brightness of the screen with the keys Fn on new L540 (8.1 x 64)

Hello everyone. I just bought a new L540 with 8.1 of Windows x 64 on it and have met a problem that I see is apparently common. While my other Fn keys work as expected, I can't adjust the brightness of the screen with them. By pressing the buttons just does nothing and the laptop is in running at full brightness at any time, even on the battery. I installed the latest driver for managing power and from what I can tell, there is no version of the management software supply for something newer than Windows 7. I also installed the latest driver for the shortcut key (in fact, I installed all the latest drivers for this machine.) I read in another thread that this may be caused by the latest driver from Intel's HD graphics card but in fact, I can not install even this driver (said my system is not supported) so I always use the latest version of the driver Lenovo provided.

Can someone please help with this? I want to be able to quickly adjust the brightness of the screen when it is on battery, but I can't do it right now. Thank you!

I have the same problem with my L540. It started with the BIOS update to version 1.65. Because I have not found a solution, I went back to BIOS version 1.64, where all the brightness options are there and are working properly.

You can download older versions. When on the page with the new drivers (http://support.lenovo.com/en_US/downloads/detail.page?DocID=DS037285) go to BIOS driver 1.65, then choose "learn more." At the end of the next page, you will see all the old versions.

You can install the version 1.64, you should choose the Option "Secure RollBack prévention" in the BIOS: restart the computer. When you see the option "to interrupt normal startup, press enter", press ENTER. Once more, press ENTER. Press F1 to enter BIOS Setup utility. Click on 'Security'-> then "update Bios UEFI Option'-> then"set RollBack prevention. " Change this option to "disabled". Press F10 to save the configuration changes and exit.

After you restart Windows, you can install BIOS 1.64.

Another possibility is to wait for the next version of BIOS...
