  Hi all

  I have a Windows 7 Home Premium edition on my desktop computer and every now and then when I'm on youtube or watching video online audio from my computer turns off randomly and in order for me to turn it back on, I have to turn the volume button on my keyboard and click with my mouse.  I ran scans with malwarebytes and it in safe mode and nothing could be fun within the system itself.  Someone at - it recommendations on what I can do to prevent this?  It was going to happen once a minute or every few minutes.   On Windows 8.1, yesterday I started to have a problem with the parameters INVOLVED: you could see the volume level go to zero (all actually silent sounds).  "I found that a 3rd party called application ' Lock Sound" (you permit level all entries should not exceed a certain volume, for example: to avoid the big difference between for example a quiet film and advertisements of stations, which would come in blasting).  For some reason, this sound lock has been set to zero, and after a few seconds of sound (which would if you simply increase or decrease the volume by using a multimedia keyboard, or the mixer Windows) the sound "cut itself".  I have reset the lock to close to 25%, and the 'muting problem' went.  Then look for an external application that could have loaded, check the settings, or close the application and see if the problem goes away.  If not, look for another software that could be causing the problem

• After years of stability, FW800 drives now randomly disappear

  I have a Mac Mini to / 2009 with 6 2 TB G-drives attached via FireWire 800 and configured as RAID 6 to mirrored volume. My system has been configured in this way for about 4 years.

  About three months ago I started having problems with the volume randomly endangered (incorrect disc is ejected). It happens when the drives are inactive and when there is an intense activity of IO - makes no difference. When this problem started, the volume has been configured with the AppleRAID and disks are connected in Garland, one to the other, on the back of my Mac Mini. I have since turned off all power management features, replaced cables, left for SoftRAID(4) AppleRAID, reset the Mac Mini, reinstalled OS X, makes a partial disk swap off Spotlight, put a fan on the push to reduce their usage time and installed a powered hub of Nitro AV to remove the Garland. No substantive changes - only they don't give up much, but it happens still regularly (every 24-48 hours).

  Interestingly, not all 6 discs disappear. Sometimes when it's just one, or maybe two or three or even five of the six. I can't decipher a pattern. I find it odd that only some readers drop out and those who is different every time. Sometimes reboot will bring them back, but not always. The only sure method to get the reader to put it back online is tension on the drive.

  The one constant I've observed more recently is there is always this error FireWire a few seconds to a minute before readers abandon "Lucent ID 5901 integrated: handleUnrecoverableErrorInt.» I did some research and found not much - more info on audio problems than drives.

  Before moved me to SoftRAID(4), who owns a proprietary driver limit myself to a single PC, I moved the disk on another machine of circa-2009 (a MBP). The problem was always present, but not as bad. Maybe an obscure issue with interaction between El Capitan and my older hardware?

  This problem has led to problems of significant data corruption and too many hours of troubleshooting of headaches and so I'm done with FW and move to a Synology NAS. I thought I would check here if to see if there is new way of thinking about this old topic or something obvious that I may have missed my troubleshooting.

  There is something wrong with my MacBook. When I plug my headphones, the Mac randomly landed the volume at any time. I thought the keyboard can be broken, but it doesn't happen when the headphones are connected so it may be a problem with the software (I think?). Has anyone experienced the same problem? • Bluetooth volume goes down at random

  At some point in the past, the volume of bluetooth to deliver to some nominal level after every reboot. I would then have to increase the volume, acknowledge receipt of the warning that high volume may damage my hearing and end up turning up the volume. It's a pain, but hardly, I restarted the phone so it wasn't too big of a deal.

In order to turn up, I have to break the law and interact with my phone while driving.   I understand very well this file.  I rarely restore, but sometimes I do.  The problem is that some files, aka viruses that have been removed, take place that I prefer to use for something else, aka my plans f #.  Can I delete random files in this folder?  I understand that I can remove the control panel restore point, but I want only to remove a specific file.  In fact, I don't know if this file is the file that I want to delete because of all the file names.  I made fair carsick enter this folder.  I want to just delete large files.  So the question is simply: is there something important it?

  System Restore uses log files to keep track of things, if you try to restore a point and System Restore detects that which is missing files or that it has been tampered with the restore point will fail.  Bert Kinney, one of the greatest experts on the restoration of the system, explains that the individual restore points can not be removed because...   If you removed a virus if the deletion was successful and the system now works fine the best thing to do is to purge ALL restore points after having removed the virus successfully.

  You're overthinking this and you're too attached to restore points, if the computer is running well at the moment and if it has been so for a week or two then you can get rid of and then restore points create a new.  Set maximum disk usage that is suitable for the points of restore and you will recover some of your disk space for another use.

  If you click Start and right click on my computer go to, and then click Properties. Click on hardware then Device Manager. In the list, you will see the audio, video and game controllers. Expand this menu by clicking the sign +. You will see the name and the audio device. Click on that and then uninstall it. Close the page and restart the system. Windows will automatically reload the audio and should correct the problem. If it persists it could be a bug in your system in which case I would suggest a program of detection of virus running. The link below is a very good program to do just that.

  Without doubt, I went through all the threads it are on the theme of the volume icon, but have not found anything that fits my 'problem '. I have an iPhone SE and sometimes when I make or receive a phone call the grey volume icon appears on the screen. I attributed it to the apps from third-party such as IMDB or Facebook but tried various scenarios and honestly can't pin it down to a specific. Someone at - it a similar problem? To be honest, it's quite annoying to see the gray icon volume pop up like this out of nowhere. I should add that all is well in terms of volume and the volume keys. No clue as to what causes this problem?

  How do you know that all is well with the volume keys? They can work properly (increase or decrease in volume when you press on), but there might be a problem with the hardware with them or the mute button.

  Are you using a case? Is there a chance that the volume buttons are damaged?

  If you have a case, there is more pressure on the volume up button, causing it to crank the volume up. Take the case and see if it still happens.

• Volume adjusts at random. Cannot control the volume with other software, ie iTunes.

  I have a HP Pavilion dv7-7000 Quad. The music playback volume goes up and down. Also, I can't control the volume in itunes or winamp. If I turn the volume in itunes there for a while, but back down. When I turn the volume to 1% in itunes, it says there for a few seconds and it slowly rises to the top.

  I tried a lot of things trying to get this problem resolved and spent over 2 hours with HP tech rep:

  1 uninstall the audio driver, restart, install the driver.

  2 bios flash

  3 reinstall the sound driver using HP Recovery Manager

  4 Windows repair.

  5 Chkdsk

  The only thing that worked was

  Uninstalled the audio driver in Device Manager and is looking for new devices and installed windows automaticlly refreshment and it fixed the issue... * beep *? I had my helmet in the decision-making when the driver installed.

  The problem can occur if the sound card drivers are not updated. It can also occur if there is malware present on the computer.

  I use a Mac mini as a server and include two OWC MiniStacks in annex. The Ministacks are connected via USB3 and underneath the Mac mini. The Ministack in the Middle started disconnecting randomly and I have to turn off and on to get it connected.

• Random system crashes

  Hiya

  Been having a problem for a while now and it seems that its getting worse. I'm having crashes completely random, random and systemic.  By chance I mean I don't know how to reproduce the problem, it can happen at any time. It often happens in the middle of a drawing in paint Studio Clip (annoying!) or after my iMac wakes up and I'll enter my password (also maddening!).  It could happen tomorrow, in two weeks then and perhaps a few hours from there and then maybe three weeks later. It's very random, but it happened at least a dozen probably several times in the past 6 months that I have owned this computer and I'm losing work because of this.

  What's happening: I'll take the spinning beachball, and will boost the my CPU to 100% according to a third-party application that is located in the menu bar called menu meters. The system is not responding, can't do anything else than to force quit apps. If I force quit all open applications, and then relaunch Finder, the system does NOT come out of it, I have to restart the iMac. Once again, I leave the computer at night to see if it would finally come to, but it won't.

  I am at a loss. I ran first aid on all my drives, ran diagnostics hardware at startup,... advice on how to proceed would be greatly appreciated. I have AppleCare but thought I'd try here first.

  I think the HARD drive is a bad thing. Check with utility disk first aid.

  And personal Adobe something wrong. Remove and reinstall from scratch could solve the problem.
