  • How to remove the missing element of vRealize Automation Administration Console?

    Hello

    When I destroyed a VM some error occurred while the VM has not been properly destroyed.

    In fact, the virtual machine itself has been removed (checked in vCenter), but it still appears in the management of vRealize Automation, so it has not been removed from the base, I guess that.

    When I click on "View details" of this virtual machine there is the error message "Missing parameter MachineID.". How can I remove this question in the vRealize of database Automation, also because the virtual machine no longer exists?

    If you are able to find the item in the database, then you will find just the respective ID column that contains the GUID. Just to get the GUID and paste it into the bottom door place.

    Update cat_resource SET status = 'DELETED' WHERE id = '506e4706-07cf-4fad-9fb1-e76fa5f32206';

    (Here to replace the item id that was removed in vCAC and run the above query.)

    Can I have the script i.e. missing and hotfixes installed for ESX and ESXi using the CLI power only? out put should be csv format

    You reset the content of the table $Results on each iteration of the baseline.

    Try like this

    $Results = @()
    foreach($esx in Get-VMHost) {
      foreach($baseline in (Get-Compliance -Entity $esx -Detailed | where {$_.Status -eq "NotCompliant"})){
        $Results += $baseline.CompliantPatches |    Select @{N="Host";E={$esx.Name}},    @{N="Status";E={"Compliant"}},    @{N="Baseline";E={$baseline.Baseline.Name}},Name,ReleaseDate,IdByVendor,    @{N="KB";E={(Select-String "(?http://[\w|\.|/]*\w{1})" -InputObject $_.Description).Matches[0].Groups['url'].Value}}

      }
    }
    $Results

    It will give the installed and lack of patches which are defined in the non-compliant baslines related to the ESXi host.

    If you want to see all the lines, also the most consistent, omit the Where clause on the base line (foreach) loop.

    Original title: Windows Update will not install on the new load XP

    Hi all

    Thanks for your replies.  Sorry I didn't answer sooner, but he got late last night, and I got to reregister the Qmgr.dll and Qmgrprxy.dll BITS files.

    I clicked Start, click on run and typed the command following, and then click OK:

    Start, run and in the run box, Type regsvr32 qmgr.dll, click OK.
    Start, run and in the run box, Type regsvr32 qmgrprxy.dll, click OK.

    I was then able to start the updates.  There are 124 updates, the Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and the .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update for versions of .NET 2.0 to 3.5 (KB951847) x 86.  He downloaded 124 updates, but even once asked me to insert the disc for qmgr.dll when he was installing the 10th update.  I find the qmgr.dll file again and pressed OK, but it seems to hang forever and do nothing, then I simply cancelled updates and closed during the night.  I have been relieved to have solved the problem of BITS, but is concerned by the hang up on the tenth update installation and he called again for the qmgr.dll file during the installation of updates.

    This morning, when I rebooted, it installed some updates at startup, and I restarted again.  He then held I first install the .NET Framework 3.5 Service Pack 1 and the .NET Framework 3.5 Family Update for versions of .NET 2.0 to 3.5 (KB951847) x 86 to date.  N BITS issue for that.  It took time, but completed settle.  Restart again and now there are only 21 updates to high priority required.  My guess is that he downloaded all 124 updates last night, but when I cancelled the installation after hanging on #10, he just started to install it again this morning and did so successfully.

    However, when I try to install the 21 remaining, he has not once again, and I find that the BITS service is not in the services again.  After I have re-enter the BITS service and restart it, the downloads are working again.

    I am now what I may need to reinsert and restart the BITS service whenever I need to download an update.

    Ideas, suggestions or comments?  I am slowly solve problems and if I persist, I can get this all taken care.

    Hi Dan,.

    From what you wrote, I understand where you are getting confused. Here are the steps to follow to solve this problem.

    Open the Windows search tool, copy / paste the following text, and then click Search: qmgr.dll

    Research should show this file in the following locations:

    C:\Windows\System32
    C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386
    C:\WINDOWS\system32\bits

    I hope they are all present, follow these steps to register the service.

    Click on start, run and copy/paste: regsvr32 qmgr.dll and click OK
    (If you do not have the command run in the start menu, hit the Windows key + R, instead)

    Do the same with this file: regsvr32 qmgrprxy.dll and then restart.

    Here are the next steps.

    Copy / paste this command in the field to run, and then click OK
    %windir%\System32\rundll32.exe setupapi, InstallHinfSection DefaultInstall 132 %windir%\inf\qmgr.inf

    Windows will launch a dialog box asking you to insert the Windows installation CD. Ignore this and change the way downstairs to C:\WINDOWS\ServicePackFiles\i386

    The reason to change the path to the i386 folder is that the files that are there are newer than those on the Windows installation CD.

    Then restart the PC again and continue with the rest of the troubleshooting steps.

    Click on start, run and copy/paste the following and click OK: services.msc

    You should now be able to see the Background Intelligent Transfer Service, or just "BITS" displayed in the list of Services.

    Double click it to open BITS and then click on the Start button. This is just a test to make sure that it works correctly.

    If you get 2 error: cannot find the specified file, click on start, then run again and copy / paste the following command, and then click OK:
    Tracking Add HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\BITS\Parameters /v ServiceDll /t REG_EXPAND_SZ /d %windir%\System32\qmgr.dll

    Restart then try and start the BITS.

    If you get the same error again, copy / paste the following text in the field run and click OK:
    Reg add HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\BackupRestore\FilesNotToBackup

    Reboot once more and then try and start the BITS.

    Let me know how you please.

  • The registry cannot load the hive (file): \systemroot\system32\conig\software or its log or replacing. It is damaged, missing, or not accessible in writing.

    My laptop does not start all of a sudden upward - it crosses the safe mode screen, acts as if it is loading windows (display the windows screen) then becomes to empty, followed by a very quick flash of the message on a blue screen: "the registry cannot load the hive (file): \systemroot\system32\config\software or its log or replacing."  It is damaged, missing, or not accessible in writing. "Then, he repeats the cycle.

    Advice, that someone could give me so that I can at least get started again windows go down all the important data before reinstalling Windows would be much appreciated.

    Hey Chris,

    Thank you for visiting the Windows Xp forum

    I was wondering if you run a retail or OEM of Windows version. If you are using an OEM version of windows, you will need to use the recovery options you have from the manufacturer of your computer. If you run a commercial version, feel free to follow the article in the knowledge base you have found.

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/307545 how to recover a corrupted registry

    I was also wondering if you have another computer to work? If so and you feel comfortable or know someone who can remove the hard drive from the computer and connect it to another computer. You can view the disk hard kit to join. Once the hard drive is connected, you can go in my computer and copy all the files to another hard disk.

  • Webcam driver missing

    Hi all

    My presario cq60 111em with integrated webcam now has a problem when l launch youcam a message appears that the webcam is not reconised and I can't find it with the Device Manager, wondered if the driver is missing ideas.

    Xorex,

    OK ideas...

    This link at the bottom of my first post has all the standard "Difficulty" of solutions...

    Here's the skinny I learned here on the forum:

    Read, read, read...

    This forum is full of stories of webcam... You can find: the hotfix, if there is one, is usually in the update of the driver.  Go to the search window and type "webcam."  Sort by date, if you wish...

    The capers of Bios:

    Sometimes - apparently - there is a BIOS update that fixes it.  I'm not a fan of the BIOS update unless noted.  You must be sure to update your bios with update YOUR bios.  Download the update to the BIOS of your computer and not someone of another link Web site.   If you do this, you'll be fine.  He can't fix your webcam, but at least you don't turn your computer into a fancy, expensive paper weight.  We have some very good experts HP here on the forum that can (and do) recommend BIOS links and they can trust: my point is do not use a link to someone of another computer unles this computer corresponds EXACTLY to your computer.  If there is an update to the BIOS of your computer, it will be the Web site of your computer and you can find it easily.  Once again, it may or may not fix the webcam.

    The son and other misfortunes:

    The other thing that happens to these webcams is that they fail sometimes simply due to material.  Sometimes it's the small wires that are loose.  If your laptop is no longer under warranty and you have the skills to do it, you might consider to disassemble the laptop and checking the wires.  This is not your average employment DYI - this is another way to make a fancy paper weight, cheap if you don't know what you're doing.  However, it is not on the upper end of difficulty as repairs go.  Some laptops have hardware very good manuals online, and there are a few very good videos YouTube there on repairs.

    It SWAT:

    There is a story (here in the forum) about someone who killed her webcam into submission.  It is not recommend it and admits to anger management issues - it's a testament to this problem of loose thread.  I bought a dv7t last summer and had to return for repair: webcam is DOA out of the box.  It's sad.

    Sneak to the top

    Sometimes, it's the WAY the driver is loaded.  You might be able to fool it.  Try to install it from SWSetup (how you did this time) and it starts.  IF it is a software, you will be able to NOW, delete it and then install the NEW one since the version downloaded .  NOT the SWsetup a new website - DELETE one that you have.

    Were still hesitating?  Always in the hope it is software?    Get in the Device Manager, remove the driver - delete it.

    Clean the registry. Reset.  Install the driver downloaded on the Web page.

    =====================================================================================

    Registry Cleaner, CCleaner (select and install the free version):

    http://www.Piriform.com/ccleaner/download

    NOTES on registry cleaners :

    Registry cleaners won't usually hurt - however, whenever you assign the registry with changes, you risk your system stability.  CCleaner includes the offer to make a backup of your registry before making any changes.

    If you choose to download and install another registry cleaner, please Uninstall CCleaner.  One of these things on the system at once is enough...

    If a Registry Cleaner does not offer to make a backup before making changes: don't forget to EXPORT you the registry manually before using the vacuum cleaner.  If something happens that you don't expect, you will have an extra layer of protection allowing to withdraw.

    IMO: Stay away from Registry Mechanic.  I had this on my systems - it is cleaned, removed, eliminated and dropped in the bucket zeros.  It is a personal Opinion.

    =====================================================================================

    Give up and buy a Clip on:

    I've written a few posts on this angle.  HP made a good (buy them a cheap, it's a waste of plastic) - Logitec makes great webcams... There are others.   Just do it and move...

    If I come with anything else useful and magical, I'll add it!

    Good luck!

    It's my pleasure to help.
