VSM 9.1 browser settings disappeared

After upgrade to v.9 (1), many officers are complaining that the VSM browser settings (selected columns, column width, column orders, colours) are missing.

Is it possible to restore the previous settings as it was before the update?

We must do this at least for several users who are extremely unhappy with this.

Make sure that they are not in the application, and then you can clean the configs.

Data in SU_WEB_CONFIGS. OFFICER_REF will be provided to you to disappear only to this officer. Power WINDOW_ID to clear only for a particular screen.

For example if I wanted to wipe the configs and colors for the screen Calls Outstanding I would run

DELETE FROM SU_WEB_CONFIGS WHERE WINDOW_ID LIKE 'INCALLSOUTSTANDING %' AND OFFICER_REF = 3

If I wanted to reset everything to me, I would run

DELETE FROM SU_WEB_CONFIGS WHERE OFFICER_REF = 3

    I suggest you add the following settings of the browser in future versions of Firefox OS:

    • Sync (bookmarks, history, open tabs, passwords (also with the master password enabled!))
    • Adding other search engines like Duckduckgo
    • Cookie settings (for example excluding 3rd party cookies,...)
    • Remember passwords
    • Master password
    • Clear private data (clear now, always clear when you leave)

    I think it's important that the browser "Firefox" on your own "Firefox" OS platform provide at least the same features as on Android.

    But I must admit, I'm very happy with my new Alcatel One Touch fire E with Firefox OS 2.0. Thanks to the developers!

    To remove unwanted toolbars, try here first:

    Orange Firefox button or classic menu Tools > Modules > category: Extensions

    Most should have a Disable and a delete button. If find you one that has an off button, but not a button Delete, so no doubt it must be removed by the control panel "programs and features".

    I suggest disable all nonessential extensions and restart Firefox to see if that reverses the problem. You can reactivate some of your less critical extensions that you find the need.

    Assuming you're on Win XP and SQL 1.5.1 developer you can reset available to the windows (which should again display the browser connections) by removing the file windowinglayout.xml under your profile of Win XP, for example:
    C:\Documents and Settings\\Application Data\SQL Developer\system1.5.1.54.40\o.ide.11.1.1.0.22.49.42

  • My buttons of browser (red/yellow/green) in the upper part of the browser keep disappearing.

    The control at the top left of my browser buttons keep disappearing! They leave me no other way I know to close or minimize the page but to exit firefox. This is not the problem, unless I want to just look at other work on my screen but not leave firefox altogether but simply switch vertically when necessary. I am extremely frustrated with this!     Possibly related: last month, some Mac users have reported that the 3 buttons would disappear if you full-screened a video and then have left full-screen for video. A workaround solution suggested for this was to display the title bar, which is hidden by default.

    You want to try for a few hours and see if it makes a difference? To display the title bar on each window, you must click on a button at the bottom left of the Customize tab. See: Customize Firefox commands, buttons, and toolbars.

    When you reset Firefox and a new profile is created and some personal data (bookmarks, history, cookies, passwords, data form) are automatically imported and the current profile folder will be moved on the desktop to a folder "Old data Firefox".
    Installed extensions and other customizations (toolbars, Pref.) that you have made are lost and must be redone.

    It is possible to retrieve the data from the old profile, but be careful not to copy the files corrupted to avoid transporting more problems.

    Do a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.

    If possible to uninstall your current version of Firefox to clean the Windows registry and settings in the security software.

    • Do NOT remove the "personal data" when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because this will remove all profile folders and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords including data profiles created by other versions of Firefox.

    Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.

    • (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
    • (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.

    Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but do NOT delete personal data when you uninstall Firefox which removes all Firefox profile folders and you lose your data.

    If you keep problems also create a new profile.

    It is possible that your security (firewall, antivirus) software blocks or limit Firefox or the process of plugin-container without you inform, possibly after the detection of changes (update) for the Firefox program.

    Delete all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container in the permissions list in the firewall and allow your firewall to ask permission to get access full and unrestricted, again to install for Firefox and the plugin-container and the update process.

    You have hidden the basic Panel section.  Right click on one of the other titles (tone curve, detail, etc.) and put a check mark next to the base.

    Sounds like you have the default essential workspace, so that this reset workspace should work.

    Window > workspace > reset Essentials or if it does not click on Essentials (default)
