• Export of Configuration MAX?

  I just don't understand?

  What is the point of the feature to import/export of Configuration MAX and why my version of the installer allows (not need) to set?

  We have a project that has been developed on a chassis NI PXI-1044. He now resides in a configuration management system, and sometimes we want to remove to make changes and build on a system that now knows nothing about PXI/chassis/controllers/etc, etc. In fact we have more material. But this Configuration hardware option within the construction of the Installer seems to require a configuration by MAX file on the host system used for the generation of the project.   The hardware configuration is not at all unique to LabVIEW and you also use it with all the other languages where appropriate. The configuration includes the names of devices, custom scales, tasks, etc. Include you the configuration that you have created on the original pc or recreate it on the deployed pc. If you have not used MAX for any configuration, so you do not need to export/import but correct detection name, scales, etc. have all be integrated into the program itself.

  I tried to import my MAX 4.6 config file into a new system running MAX 5.5 and daq 9.8.

  It seems that you have the Runtime installed DAQmx.  You must also install the DAQmx Configuration support in order to get the neighborhood of data appears in MAX.

  I have LabVIEW 7.1, and Max under the software it shows v8.8 NOR-DAQmx and v7.4.4 NOR-traditional DAQ. When I am developing devices and Interfaces, only from the devices listed OR-DAQmx ppears with the DAQ card (PCI-6221: "Dev1"). The VI I need to ru uses the traditioal DAQ. When I run the VI I get an error message that the jury must be configured. How can I get traditional DAQ to apear in the devices and Interfaces fall down, so I can set the jury? The VI is not easily updated to DAQmx.

  The PCI-6221 is a M-series card.  M-series cards have no traditional DAQ driver support.

  I searched the site for 3 days and finally found a post titled; "IAK login user and configuration MAX" on 04/21/2009 who has asked pretty much the same problem, I'm going to. I wonder if there is something new on this subject because I need a solution.

  I installed an application and the NI FP driver suite see 6.0.11. I run NI MAX and open my. File IAK, which is located in the folder/common directory as well as the executable file of my application. At the beginning I used to hit the 'Save' selection but have found since that it makes no difference, so now, I'm not hitting 'Save', but just close MAX. This process is to record the location of my. IAK file somewhere, because after that my application runs and communicates very well with my e/s.

  The problem comes when I have the new station operators connect to the computer that controls the operation of my test. the application that auto starts because it is in the startup folder "All Users" cannot communicate with inputs and outputs.

  MAXIMUM running and opening the. IAK file under each new user login then immediately closing MAX solves the problem and all is well, and this process must occur the first time that a new user connects to the computer. The post mentioned above indicates that it is a normal behavior.

  The problem is that some of my operators do well to find the power button and turn on all the morning. The application is no "Exit", "Task Manager" should be used to stop it. Login information is stored on a post-it in their portfolio, and ask them to open MAX and save the configuration is just too much for them to do - be unfamiliar with the operation at first.

  Can someone explain to me how to fix this or refer me to a validated solution?

  OK - here it is:

  It works for me under Windows 7 with FP1000 e/s on a serial Comm. port other configurations may or may be not the same in these respects.

  While logged in as a privileged user configure you application to work and communicate with the e/s using an IAK file. Create the IAK via NI MAX.

  Is the key to register of interest here: [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\National Instruments\FieldPoint Explorer\Recent File List]

  The string value is: "File1"="C:\ApplicationPath\IOConfigurationFile.IAK."

  Start the REGEDT32 Registry Editor. EXE and navigate to the key just below SOFTWARE that tells of National Instruments.

  Select the key, and then right-click on it. Select EXPORT, select a path and name of the output file.

  There will be many other entries, but this recent file one is the only one that may be necessary.

  You will end up with one. REG file with the specified name that contains the following elements:

  Windows Registry Editor Version 5.00

  [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\National tools]

  [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\National Instruments\FieldPoint Explorer]

  [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\National Instruments\FieldPoint Explorer\Recent File List]

  Create a BAT file under the name of your choice. Configure.BAT for example.

  This BAT file will reside in the directory of your application with your Important file and it will contain 1 line.

  This:

  REG IMPORT "C:\ApplicationPath\ConfigurationRegistryExportFile.REG" > rejconfig.log

  Place a shortcut to it. BAT file in the 'All Users' Start menu.

  Any user who connects will receive this update of the registry which will allow the driver to IO to know how to communicate with your IO.

  Replace your appropriate to the ApplicationPath, IOConfigurationFile, ConfigurationRegistryExportFile, rejconfig.log file names. The log file will be written only for in the case of an error.

  I have read and found some documents on ESXi.

  According to the documents, I know that ESXi free version does not support some advanced virtual machine configurations and does not support write to ESXi host permission. But when I download ESXi from vmware.com, I can't find the free version.   Configuration of start and stop virtual machines is available with the free version and licensed, with the free version you would be configured everything via vSphere Client, where as with a licensed version, you can optionally use scripts to configure it and also issue restarts/stops using scripts.

  Second, shutdownHostViaSOAPAPICall.pl for the version licensed and free of ESX (i), this script will work in both free and licensed because it uses direct SOAP calls emulating the vSphere Client communication. Take a look at the documentation for details, but this of course is not supported by VMware.

  I generate and deploy a real-time data acquisition and control system using LabVIEW RT (2012 SP1) and a PXI controller.  I tested my software and it works very well, now that I understand how to generate stand-alone executables for the host systems and target RT.

  Because of a bug on the side of RT (which I hope I have fixed now), I needed to 'rebuild' my PXI controller, reinstall software related and LabVIEW RT and reconfigure all the tasks of MAX (version 5.5).  To save the Configuration (and simplify reconfigure tasks and channels), I tried to export the configuration using the Configuration max Export Wizard.  However, he had a few (minor?) inconsistencies in some of the features (for example, NOR-488. 2), between the host and remote systems that generated errors.  I was able to fix this by asking MAX to do a Reset Configuration data on the host computer, and these problems went away.

  After exporting the export NI Configuration for my PXI file, I decided to use MAX to create reports on remote PXI and my host systems.  While considering the report of the PXI, I noticed that the last entry in the report, entitled 'Security', reads as follows:

  "The distance on this system access list is empty. This means that no remote system has access to this system. »

  What does that mean?  Where is the "remote on this system access list', and how is it maintained?  Note that I have not (yet) tried to deploy my project (formerly-work) to this controller (rebuilt), but I did not bring changes in LabVIEW, himself.

  If I look at the properties of the target of RT project, the VI server properties show (still) active TCP/IP (port 3363) with Machine access granted to "*" (all machines) and, similarly, all exported were allowed access.

  Am I missing something?  Can I safely ignore the entry above security report generated by MAX, or is there a hidden setting that I need to find and change?

  I'm not sure about your situation, but it seems to me that it is connected to the 'Security' settings Please see using MAX, section "Logging into your System.

• Error 0xBFFF800B to the MAX with firewire cameras

  Hello

  MAX lists all cameras connected by FireWire. But when I click on one to show configuration, MAX is held for several seconds, and then it brings a dialog:

  The session for your device could not be configured
  

  The camera will now appear with a red x. Sometimes, the camera disappears from MAX and the Windows Device Manager a few seconds after this failure. It reappears after reconnection, but it againt fails to display the properties. Reboot is also not helped.

  There are seven identical cameras connected, two of them work, others react as described. It does not matter on which FireWire port or what FireWire controller, the cameras are connected. It does not help when only one of the defective devices is connected.

  I followed the advice of the first response in this thread:

  I deleted the xml, the iid and the CIM located in "Documents and Users.Windows users/Shared Documents / National Instruments/NOR-IMAQdx/Data", but the behavior remains the same. Both cameras work

  The compatibility test with CameraValidator.exe (see this KB) print "the Exception". For the cameras work, she passes and generates the report file.

  Finally, the problem is found. The wires were the problem. 5 of 7 identical cables seem to not work at 400 Mbps. I tried different combinations of connections, but until today, I've changed mainly controllers and no cameras. If each device has always been connected to the same cable as long.

  I could program a panel to allow the user to change the configuration settings for a task DAQmx, but decided that it was easer to simply stop the task and launch MAX with LaunchExecutableEx and let the user play with the parameters of the task. Is it possible to tell MAX, for example through command-line settings, to open and view a particular start DAQmx task?

  I don't think that it is possible to configure MAX to open on a particular task. It also seems that there is no MAX ActiveX Automation Server to which we have access.

  This is explained in the Help of MAX. You can also read this: export and import of files in Measurement & Automation Explorer. Note that you can also do it in LabVIEW: import and export a Configuration MAX through LabVIEW.

  IM investing in a new laptop (not) and the wish to obtain the configuration max to run about Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign open every day and breaks between the 3 almost all the time.

  So while that Ive read Adobe recommend sys req, Im willing to spend a little more than just "recommended". For example, recommend Adobe 8GM Ram, but if I'm 16 I notice a difference?

  TO go further with my question, if I pushed up to 32 GB for example, would - be it a waste of money as I see much/any difference between 16 and 32 on PSD/IND/HAVE, at least? Or, for example after X amount of Ram, should I then be giving priority to the CPU?

  NB - we talk about Windows not Mac here for sure and not mobile, Wallpapers. Try probably sick and stick with my experience of confidence on more stable Win7 Ultimate. Bad experiences so far with Win8 and Win10. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  This is where you set up if you plan to use the on-board SSO or an external SSO. If you select incorporated, simply provide the password for authentication ONE Admin account [email protected]. Once registered, the first part of the SSO is made. Then, you must sign to vSphere Client Web https://VCSAIP:9443 using the [email protected] and configure the Sources of identity (this is the configuration of how SSO will connect to your LDAP server).   I installed the replication ovf file and it is running. but when I go to my host of burst and right-click on it I don't see replication downstairs. as you can see, I created a data center in vcenter and added two esxi host. What Miss me? anything to fix this? I do not see the clone function, but I don't see the functionality of replication, as shown here.
