• OpenStack for instances server affinity?

  Is it possible to create rules of affinity or some how determine what ESXi a VM host will be deployed on a cooler on VMware Openstack facility? I have a full installation of cooler Openstack, installed within a 3 Installing VMware 5.5 clustered node, and I need to know is possible to determine which host this Openstack instance will be deployed on? If yes how to configure that? It would seem that his in the vsphere plugin... For the record, I do not use VOVA.

  I'll implement models on OEM 12.1.0.3 monitoring for guests, agents, instances of database etc by copying and modifying Oracle certified models, using "create as ' then apply to my goals.  There are models certified for guests and agents, but I don't see one for database Instances.  Is there a models certified for database Instances (such as the metric of tablespace used %, share pool % cached, alert etc.)?

  Another way to create a template with parameters is out-of-box metric collection for database instances:

  -Access the company > surveillance > surveillance models.

  -Click on create.

  -Select copy control settings using: target Type

  -Select:

  -Target the Type category: databases

  -Target Type: Instance of database

  -Click on continue to continue to create the model.

  I keep getting guests for the same updates, even if the history of the update show updated - KB2538242 Microsoft Visual C++ +, KB2478660 SPI of Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 and KB2478663 .NET Framework 4.  I had an error message whenever I tried to update.  For example, after continuing get guests for several days, KB2538242 Microsoft Visual C++ + has been presumably updated 18 times different of June 6 / 17-6/23/11.  I had just clicked on update guests without checking exactly what specific updates have been involved.  How to prevent update messages for updates that have probably been installed successfully?

  I created a basic (bare BONES, VMware tools) model for the deployment of CentOS 5.6 VMs, but when I try to deploy from it, I get:

  Followed by something on LVM is supported only on these latest ESX and tools.

  I have the newest ESXi available and there is no LVM in the virtual machine.

  When I convert the model of a virtual machine and run it, VMware tools show a status of "OK", so I don't think that the problem is related to that.

  I have a tiara 2015 SP2 version.

  The Scipt VB has a possibility to refer to an instance of the current class by me. It is sometimes important and useful. It works in tiara. But it is not described in the help of DIAdem.

  Tiara provides a reference to the current object SOUTH via this. It is not described in the help too.

  Can you tell us why or you can add it to future versions of the help / DIAdem?

  You can use 'This' in the Calculationscript for the calculation, in the Barmanger and in the SOUTH Editor.

  You're right, 'This' and 'Me' is not or not very obvious described in the help of tiara and we will try to do better in the next version.

• How to log out of a guest for an administrator account account?

  I let my friend use my laptop yesterday and logged in as 'guest '.  When I logged in this morning, I am unable to access as the main user (Administrator) and do not have any idea how the settings so that I appear when I connect as opposed to the screen "invited".  Please can someone help me.

  If you are connected as a guest, follow these steps:

  1. Click on the start menu (the ORB circular at the bottom left of the screen in the taskbar.
  2. Eye of the option where you see "Shutdown" button, there is a small arrow pointing to the right.  Click on it.
  3. A menu appears with an option 'disconnect '.  After that, you would see the list of users on the computer.  Select the administrator account.

  Hi all

  Can you have different guests on the same page of dashboard for different reports on the same columns. For example, my dashboard page has 2 reports and I need

  Invites different on each report. Each report is based on 2 diff, SA1 and SA2 themes.

  I build separate guests on generic columns like name and period of the invoice to the customer which are present in the two areas.

  Both areas contain few shirts of presentation with the same name, i.e. the customer, contract, invoice, etc. If I take columns with the same names,

  for example, 'customer name' or 'contract ID' of these records, I observed that the guests are applied to the two reports.

  It remains the same even if I create separate presentation variables in reports. OBIEE allows this feature to have

  different guests on columns with same name.

  This can be achieved using the Variable guests most frequently used guests from the column. There I created a variable and used presentation even in the filters in the analysis.

• Bulk 6.2 and vSphere 6 no resources available for bookings

  Hi all

  I spun a vSphere brand new brand 6 environment using vCenter device (with SSO and vCenter distributed on different devices) and installed the NSX.  Everything works as expected.  Then I installed vCAC 6.2 (using the SSO vCenter for auth) and everything seems to work except that when I added the new end point for vCenter and NSX I get no calculation/storage/network resources available to place in a new reservation (Group of fabric absorbs the cluster if communications seem to be ok between IaaS and vCenter).

  Click with the right button on the cluster, click on change settings, go to vSphere HA-> Advanced Options and add the das.ignoreInsufficientHbDatastore entry and the value real... vSphere cluster to disable and re-enable HA and the warning will disappear.

  I use a trial version of VMware vSphere 5.1 on a server Dell T - 410 Quad Core - w - 32 GB of RAM.  I'm not under vCenter.  I installed this after attending a class on VMware vSphere there and now I'm just using it because I need to study the materials of many moons.  I left 40 days on the assessment.

  I'm trying to add support for a PCIe card in VMware vSphere for a Linux CentOS client.  (Note that all customers react in the same way).

  When I click on the Client and then 'change settings' > I see the dialog window 'Properties of the Virtual Machine' and the Add button.

  When I click on ADD, I see the following:

  "PCI Device (not available)".

  By clicking on the PCI device in gray reveals that:

  This device cannot be added to this virtual Macine because:

  There is no device for the PCI Passthrough on the host

  I have looked in a number of places but haven't seen any clear information about how to ADD a PCIe or PCI peripheral Passthough.

  If installation path to SSO is changed - at least the c: d:
  SSOServer way SSOServer\conf\server.xml have double "------" and failure - installation causing
  solution is to leave the default path - it remains unchanged for SSO component only

  Here's how to fix it:

  1 enable 8.3 name generation on your filesystem (IE NtfsDisable8dot3NameCreation = 0)

  2 delete the directory C:\Program Files\VMware\Infrastructure\SSOServer

  3 reset

  4. repeat - worked for me.

  The thread of VMware years have failed to understand that the 8.3 file names are not available during the install and they always relying on them.
