  My old laptop died.  A new one with win 7 pro.  Try to download windows xp mode and virtual pc.  Site bloody Web keeps telling me to download and run WindowsActivationUpdate.exe.  I do, and when I click on the button continue, he wants to download me the same bloody file.  Major circle jerk.  Any suggestions on how to get the microsoft Web site to stop wasting my time and give me the bloody files?  Also, about what support do you think that microsoft consider it a part of?

  To be able to download the XP Mode and Virtual PC for Windows 7, first of all, it performs a validation check to verify that the version of Windows that you are using is genuine.

  If you download and allow it to check, once your computer is validated you will be able to download the files in XP Mode and Virtual PC.

  Yes, it's true. HW version 8 is only supported on ESXi 5.0 and later.

  In order to upgrade the version of the material, you must be on the last tools first in any case - this is the recommended method. In order to upgrade the version of HW, you need to fuel the VM so this failure should be taken into account in your courses on the latest plans.

  Personally, I use PowerCLI to upgrade all the tools and cela as part of the monthly patch cycle when failures are already planned. You can install the tools without a reboot in advance by using the switch - NoReboot in your syntax PowerCLI (although there is a clause in the help files that says something along the lines of reboots may still occur in some circumstances, but I haven't done this experience yet).

  In regards to the HW version, I try to upgrade downtime is planned and only to force an upgrade, if I need a feature not supported on an earlier version.

  in your case, if you have any mixed clusters or there is a chance that you will need to migrate a virtual computer on an older host go then the virtual hardware. When I upgraded to Version 5, I ensured that no virtual material has been updated so that all guests were on ESXi 5.0... But also rememer that new VM created on your hosts 5.x will HW version 8 and will not be able to run on hosts earlier.

  I need to manage either an ESXi 3.5 and ESXi 4.1 hosts a 64-bit Windows 7, drunk customer I suspect there is some sort of incompatibility between clients and.

  First of all, I downloaded from my server ESXi 3.5.0 the VMware Infrastructure Client 2.5 and I installed it on my 64 bit Windows 7 client.

  Second, I downloaded from my server ESXi 4.1 the VMware customer 4.1.0 vSpere and installed on the same client 64-bit Windows 7.

  At this point if I click on the VMware Client vSpere and I try to connect to the ESXi 3.5.0 server it works fine, but if I try to access the console of any virtual machine I get a white window with no option to manage the virtual computer.

  If I connect to the ESXi 4.1 server and try to open the console of any virtual machine, it works fine.

  • Shoud I specitfy no matter what setting during the installation of two clients?
    
  • Can I enter any parameter during the launch of one of the two clients?
    
  • Should I install a specific version of 64-bit?
    

  Are there any other measures to make 2 clients work on the same client 64-bit Windows 7?

  I'm setting up a VMWare View deployment and I need to configure Performance Manager in Virtual Center Customization Tools.  Use the deployment tools XP Service Pack 2 for my model pack 3 XP service or do I have to download SP 3 tools?  Documentation on the internet points to SP 2 tools, but I can't find a definitive answer for XP SP 3 machines.

  I don't think anything changed in Sysprep between XP SP2 and SP3 of XP.  I use Sysprep in an XP SP2 CD deploy.cab file to customize my XP SP3 image with no problems.  You should be able to use Sysprep tools on the CD for SP2 for your model.

• Upgrading OS from Linux and many processes under

  We are 11.5.10.2 in a split database configuration. Our database server is 64 bit and our application servers are 32-bit. We are trying to replace our servers and upgrading our version Linux RH 4 to 5 in the process. Everything was well spent, but I see some differences in the number of OS Linux processes created on the servers apache/forms and ccm/reports. I see no problems with the operation of applications and no diagnosis of reporting errors and no errors in the log files. Basically, everything seems fine except that I am concerned about the huge differences in the number of processes on the operating system. Here's more information.

  If you're still seing the bluescreens after performing a factory restore, then we're probably dealing with a hardware failure.

  I would recommend Dell hardware diagnostics currently running on this computer.
