VUM after 5.0 Update 2 does not work

We have just updated the vCenter 5.0 5.0 Update 2.  Smooth.

I uninstalled Crossover (running on a different server) and reinstalled.  Now, when I run a client, I get a message saying "there is a connection error to vSphere VMware Update Manager - [FQDN of the vCenter:443].  "Database temporarily unavailable or has network problems."

There is a note of support here that says that the plugin may not work after the update and check that you are using SQL authentication to connect to SQL ODBC VUM.  Thus, we fixed which and now the ODBC connection works fine.

I restarted the SQL Server, all services of VirtualCenter and the service Delivery Manager/Server Update.  No luck.

I uninstalled the client and plugin for VUM several times.  No luck.

I ran the client and the VUM two vCenter and since the VUM server plugin.  No luck.

There is no firewall running on each server.

The two servers are in the same subnet.

What is confusing is that it gives the domain name of the VirtualCenter Server FULL, as if that's what it's trying to connect to.  that is, he thinks that Crossover is installed on our VirtualCenter server.

There is very little out there about this error, if anyone has any advice on where to go from here, it would be appreciated.

The VUM server: we ran ' C:\Program Files (x 86) \VMware\Infrastructure\Update "(as administrator, btw)

Note: To connect to the utility, we had to use a format for our service account, rather than our typical format domain\username username@domain .

(Omitted, the Proxy settings)

Under database settings, we put our new, SQL LOCAL authenticated user name and the password and he agreed.

Under re-record to vCenter Server, we use the DNS name of our VirtualCenter and our service of username@domain username and password and he accepted those, as well.

We rebooted the VUM service on the VUM server and everything worked as expected.

    Remove the pragma autonomous_transaction and validation of your relaxation. This might be the reason. The transaction autonoumous cant properly consider the values of the current transaction (which is not engaged yet).

    This is not logically (if the upgrade fails or is rolled at the time you do not want the inserted row).

    If you then get a problem because the mutation of tables, you will need a different solution: an autonoumous transaction is not the right solution to workaround.

    I use applications Adobe C3, which now requires updates.  When an Adobe product needs an update, an update notification dialog box appears.  I click ok to download and install the Adobe updates to all my products.  I saw preferences indicating the C3 and a number of other applications.  I click on continue and the download begins.  Installation does not seem to happen or at least it is / was no indication except noting a percentage of completion passing.

    The problem is that this process continues and continues and continues during and in the course of every time I clicked on continue.

    4. installation KB2734608

    5 remove WSUS and Windows Internal Database, restarted and installed it again (using the download of KB972466).

    I am looking for any information on how to solve what is the question, because there is nothing in the log files I can find and no event in the windows event viewer.  I am ready to start with the server however if there is something I can look at to possibly solve the problem, please let me know.

    I have a problem to update software in windows 7.

    I have a HP G72 laptop.

    I replaced my hard drive. 350GB, Western Digital 750Go digital West.

    -J' made an image of the C partitie (if it is 3 months, installed for the recovery partition, new updated worked after that).

    The new disk hard there however any possible updates of windows. (the bar is red on the left).

    -After that, I reinstalled the original image when the laptop was new (DVD image). Same result on updates.

    -Remove the folders from the dir c/windows/SoftwareDistibution, no results.

    -Checked the status of services: windows update is statred and in automatic mode.

    N ' tried microsoft 'Fix - it' no results.

    -updated the drivers intel, no results.

    -Downloaded System Update Readiness of windows to resolve the error (Windows6 1 - KB982018 - v3 - x 64). When installing, I get the error 0xc8000247. So I'm not able to install this software.

    Looked after errors in the CBS.log newspaper: found M²: cannot read the time value RptTime from the registry. [HRESULT = 0 X 80070490 ERROR_NOT_FOUND]

    Do a clean boot, without result.

    Does anyone know a solution to this problem.

    The problem occurs when you change your hard drive for a bigger, in my hard drive of the case a GB Western Digital 340 WD 750 GB drive hard.

    For the Windows automatic updates again you need update the Intel Rapid Storage Technology Driverdriver. It will not be updated when you have intel check your drivers! For me, only the 9.5.6.1001 version worked. This driver can be found at http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c02219204 .

    I think you should try to remove the drive from Device Manager and reboot the laptop. Then the operating system should recognize the STRANGE again.

    Suggestion 1: Get rid of Norton and Spybot Search and Destroy.  I do not recommend Norton/McAfee products, especially the suites (I recommend NO suites - simple is better.)  Spybot has been a good product, but a few years back, he just stopped doing as well.

    Suggestion 2 (cumulative, not necessarily independent - but maybe): cleaning of your Windows Update stuff...

    All the following items in the order shown - no matter what protection against that, you think you have.

    Search for malware:

    Download, install, execute, update and perform analyses complete system with the two following applications:

    Remove anything they find. Reboot when necessary. (You can uninstall one or both when finished.)

    4. Try to reinstall updates

    • When you remove the Software Distribution folder, your download history is deleted.
    • If you currently receive updates from Microsoft Update and Windows Update, you will need to reselect this option from the Windows Update Web site.

    if the problem is resolved and you can successfully download and install the updates, you can delete the directory SoftwareDistribution.old to recover disk space.

    The only thing I changed hardware wise is the hard drive, so this error message seems silly because Windows runs on this material.  I even double checked that Vista is always enabled.  Anyone out there have any ideas?

    I have a Dell Inspiron 7537. New installation of Windows 8.1. All drivers and updates for the installed BIOS Dell form site.

    My laptop could not wake up after hibernation too but I managed to wake up again.

    Disconnect the power adapter and remove the battery.
    Now, you will have to wait a while 1 hour should be sufficient, but you can leave the laptop disconnected for a longer time (all night long)
