W2K8 with GROUP after installation

I have VMware workstation (9.0) installed with the operating system Windows 7 64 bit is my portable desktop (16 GB of RAM, 500 GB HDD, 2 TB, 1 Intel NETWORK card no external hard drive). I would like to make the following configuration with virtual servers and workstations.

1. create a virtual server with Windows Server 2008 R2 for Microsoft Active Directory domain controller.

2. create a virtual workstations with Windows 7 64 bit for the client to the domain.

3. the two above two stations such as the domain controller (win 2K8R2) and the customer field (Win 7), I would like to bring to the network via Microsoft Virtual adapter.

My question is, is - it possible to do that kind of arrangement with the windows 7 host OS? If not is it possible to have Win 2K8R2 as guest on Windows 7 as operating system host operating system.

Here is the result of my experience.

After have created virtual station with Win 2K8R2 and after having installed the operating system and for cranking up the virtual station crashed with the blue screen and messages.

And I join the blue screenshot for reference. I rebooted the virtual server several times without success.

Kindly advise me.

The virtual machine has two virtual disks of 100 GB and 40 GB. Although this should not cause problems, I would ask you to try the setup with only one virtual disk on scsi0:0. Also, be sure that the installation of Windows 2008 image is not corrupted by checking its signature!

  • Computer is infected with trojan after installation of the software "Windows XP restore".

Original title: restore windows xp 'Advanced' purchasing options.

I had the hard drive, and restart errors.after of ram than a "windows xp restore" option appeared. I asked for the option "fix errors". Fixed some, she asked me to buy an advanced option. I bought and then all my problems seem to be resolved. My security software said it removes it a Trojan horse and I think it was related to this software. Anyone know if this is legitimate?

It is not legitimate, it is a fake anti-virus program and must always be treated as a malware, it's basically extortion-ware and they want you to buy. As you have purchased the advanced version, I would recommend cancelling the credit card immediately if they do not load any more things out there and see if you can get your money back.

I also recommend the online scan as Deb has suggested, if this does not work I would download malwarebytes www.malwarebytes.org, installation, update running, and run a scan full to make sure it's clean.

    I hope this helps.

  • Win XP (Home) - can I install SP2 using diskett right after XP with 1 XP installation?

    Hello

I reinstall Win XP (SP1) with a CD ROM provided by the OEM. I got the disc SP2 from Microsoft after its released many years ago. May I know what I can ignore all the other update and install SP2 immediately after the XP with SP 1 installation. Wil it cause no problems with my installation? It is safer to use Win Update to make it current?

    Thank you

You should not use a computer running Windows XP (service pack) to connect to the Internet.  Windows XP has not been supported since April 2014 and is vulnerable to attacks by malicious software.

You must install Service Pack 3 rather than Service Pack 2, and you can install SP 3 directly on a Windows XP SP 1 system (there is no need to install SP 2 or pre - SP3 first updates).

Windows Update will not work unless you have installed Service Pack 3.

Before you install SP 3, read this--> https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/950717

If your PC is a HP Pavilion and Presario, Media Center and has an AMD processor, you must install this hotfix before installing SP3--> http://h20564.www2.hp.com/hpsc/swd/public/detail?swItemId=pv_60484_2

You can get the Service Pack 3 by using Internet Explorer 6 or later to go here--> http://catalog.update.microsoft.com/v7/site/Search.aspx?q=xp%20service%20pack

Click on the button 'Add' to the first item on the list (Windows XP Service Pack 3 (KB936929)), click on 'View basket' (just under the search box) and then download the file.

  • [Solved] pc with xp home edition as the operating system does not start after installation of SP2 via automatic updates

Hello everyone. After formatting my hard drive I reinstalled windows xp edition sp1 family and then installed the latest version of windows update agent. I have the auto update set to download the updates automatically and notify me when they are ready to be installed. Initially, he found 3 updates that I installed and rebooted. He concluded 58 updates. Again, I've installed and restarted. After that, we found ServicePack 2, I installed as well. But after the reboot, the pc does not start. What I get is the windows xp logo which discoloures after a few seconds and I don't see a bar moving from left to right. I left it like that for 3 hours, but nothing has changed. Also, it does not start in safe mode. I get a screen with red and green vertical lines in this case. Anyone know what's the problem? I'd appreciate any help. Thank you.

I was finally able to solve this problem. That's what I did. I reinstalled windows xp home and followed the same path (but his definition of the automatic updates notify me before downloading or installing updates) until the automatic updates found in the new service pack 2. This time that I did not choose to download it. Instead I downloaded from here http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/download/details.aspx?id=28 and then started in safe mode and installed. I don't know one that makes the difference but service pack 2 has been successfully installed this time and tha pc was able to start after installation. Before that, I also downloaded and installed the latest versions of 2 drivers through drivermax. I mention this in the case where he has also made a difference. After the service pack 2 installation and restart, automatic updates will be found a few others brought up-to-date, but after installation and reboot, it found no others. I had to visit update windows Internet explore and search for updates it and managed to find other updates and finally SP3.

  • Dual monitor boot problem with Windows 7 Professional 64 bit after installation of any graphics program like a game.

I have built this platform with the help of the owner of a store of 4 cumputer teir 2 years ago. We initially put Windows Vista 32 bit on the system to Vista 64 bit unstable atm. For 2 years, the computer worked like a dream. Last week I made a clean wipe of windows vista and windows 7 professional 64-bit installed. The system has two monitors. The primary monitor is a sony bravia with 26 "led and secondary for watching movies is that a 55 '' led Samsung 1080 p 240 Hz. The graphics card is a geforce GTX 295 nividia. It has 12 GB of Ram and the CPU is an i7 965 @3.20.

The problem I have is this. After the installation of any game average to work with windows 7, the screens to reset their resolutions automatically more than a few times as they are confused. Sometimes, I have to return the screen to its correct resolution after installation in full. Most of the games and then run fine. After installing the game or any game designed for win 7 startup of computers is all messed up for the monitors. After starting hand 26 "sets its resolution and then after about a second 30 pause the computer makes the sound (the double) that it is resolutuons to reset monitor again? After that this second reset about 1-2 minutes the computer is good to go, unless it sets the res evil. The problem is the computer has never done that with vista and it is very annoying say the least. It still freezes the installation of some games. The only way to resolve what I found is the restoration of the system. The computer starts normally and screen ground is defined once she has always been. The only problem is when you install another game, the problem is their new. This problem is worse in some games.

The latest nvidia drivers have been installed. There is no conflict in the device with the exception of an old printer Manager. The two comes is set to 60 hertz. I searched all over the internet and there seems to be a problem with windows 7 without solution. I am at a loss. Any other information that you need let me know and I'll post it. Thank you!

    Hi ancientone618,

It sounds almost as if there is a Windows update that is in conflict with your NVIDIA Driver Installer.  I would say to disable automatic updates of Windows to see if it might help:

In addition, please see the article with some useful information:

  • Had problems with Windows 8 Pro that I bought after the pre version, seems when I tried to reinstall it, kept getting no configure after installation.

Had problems with Windows 8 Pro that I bought after the pre version, seems when I tried to reinstall it, kept getting no configure after installation.  So I tried a full install without success.  Can you please give some tips to overcome this problem?  I lost the back upward with the resettlement, don't know how, but I have a QuadCore intel 9650 memory of 8 GB, 560 GTX GPU, 120 GB SSD.  Can I install windows 7 ultimate, but I prefer Windows 8 Pro and don't want to pay for it again.

I suggest you reinstall Windows 7 first, then use your existing Windows 8 Pro key and reinstall Windows 8 Pro from the following link:

You can download it from there and use your product key to upgrade:

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-GB/Windows-8/upgrade-product-key-only

You will need to reactivate by phone:

    Activation of the phone:

    1. press the Windows key + X , and then click run, and then type: slui.exe 4

    2. then press the ENTER"" key.

    3. Select your "country" in the list.

    4. choose the option "activate phone".

    5. stay on the phone (do not select/press all options) and wait for a person to help you with the activation.

    6. explain your problem clearly to the support person.

    Hi all

Just a suite, I use Windows 7 (x 64). I talk with the cat from adobe and I was told to create a new Administrator windows account and reinstall LR by using this new account.

It worked for me, I am able to successfully access LR 6 using the newly created administrator account. I tried to follow up with another request - I have what patches can implement to my current user account so that I can access LR 6 using that account (and not the new windows user account). Unfortunately, I was told that cat Adobe does not support LR 6 and I am directed to ask my questions here.

    Thanks a lot again!

  • which group should GI_HOME and ORACLE_HOME belong to after installation?

Hi, I finished installation and database creation.

However, now I think that whole group for GI_HOME belong to grid: oinstall and ORACLE_HOME belong to oracle: oinstall.

What I have to change the DBA as a group?

    Thank you

    Hello
Formerly database administrators implemented the oraInventory to dba group. This works but did not fall within the standards of Oracle.
In the new versions Oracle YES check if oinstall is primary group (if this isn't a warning is returned) so when installed, YES do you not manually implemented Group oraInventory, Installer take the primary group of the user of your operating system.

When you install the Oracle software on the system for the first time, YES create the oraInst.loc file. This file identifies the name of the Oracle inventory group (by default, oinstall) and the path of the Oracle inventory Central Directory.
By default, if a group oraInventory does not exist, Setup then lists the primary group of the owner of the facility for the grid Infrastructure from Oracle for Cluster software such as the oraInventory group.

    http://download.Oracle.com/docs/CD/E11882_01/install.112/e22489/prelinux.htm#BABDEAIJ

Before installation, you can set the group you like, is only a question of standards and the environmental organization.
However, after installation, there is a procedure to change it. We can not simply change by using only "chown" utility.

    Kind regards
