W700P toichscreen goes to sleep

Just got a W700P used from a seller from Amazon. Other than the former owner, forgetting to remove the Windows.old folder (with something like 20 GB of data) and who need to have a bunch of drivers installed, it works well... except when you use not the touchscreen for more than a few seconds the touchscreen function seems to fall asleep and it takes a doubleclick, or perhaps just enough clicks wake up. Once he's awake I can use it properly, as long as I don't let things for more than a few seconds again. Y at - it a setting I should know about?

Try this: go to the Device Manager (start > run > devmgmt.msc), expand human interface devices category, click right on (it was the second for me) USB input device, goto Properties, goto the power management tab and uncheck the box "turn off this device to save power". This completely fixed the problem for me.

My notebook, ProBook 450 G2 goes into sleep mode when well even parameters of energy set to never. The operating system is Windows 7 Professional.  I had a technician Microsoft verifiez_ the. I also had HP tech check the. They both said that it was a hardware problem. I sent it to HP to fix it and they replaced the motherboard and said that they have tested. When I came back, it entered into mode 'sleep' again. I left my laptop for about 15 minutes and when I came back it was in mode 'sleep'. This always occurs after the laptop remained for about 15 minutes.

    Does anyone have a solution?

I sent my laptop repair HP. They replaced some cables and motherboard, but it does not solve the problem. They finally replaced the Windows 7 operating system. Basically they gave me a new system. I spent 3 days to update windows with all the updates and then re-loading of my programs. What a mess!

  • Monitor poster No. signal then goes to sleep

I don't know if I write this problem in the right category but that's.

Lately, whenever I turn on my computer (Pavilion Elite m9291d), my (HP w2207h) display will show a message "not - no Signal, HDMI - VGA signal". "." Then the monitor goes to sleep and blackens. I have to restart 8 times or more, and only by chance I could access my computer.

Yesterday, I managed to go to the HP online support and to go to the control panel (in Classic view), go to the option to, and click "NEVER" in the screen and the computer advised to sleep options. Then after you save the settings, I'm supposed to go to Device Manager and disable the mouse and keyboard. After that, I have to restart my computer.

Some can please help me and enlighten me with a few questions:

    (1) why didn't I go to "Classic view" and not the normal display of Vista?

    (2) if it is the problem of the screen, then why do I have to uninstall the keyboard and mouse?

    (3) Will cause the Vista Live Update upset to the setting of the computer?

I have not tried the above steps again because today, I managed to get into the computer by chance. Help, please.

  • Satellite P10 automatically goes to sleep after 15 minutes

My Satellite P10 automatically goes to sleep after 15 minutes. This is a setting that is controlled by Toshiba or the Console of Toshiba power management settings.

When I change the settings it the system will always standby after 15 minutes. When I go into Control Panel control/Performance and Maintenance/Power Options, it tells me to go to the Toshiba power management to change the settings, but I still see the parameters in grey indicating the standby time of 15 minutes.

But in the Toshiba power management, I can't seem to be able to adjust the sleep settings, so that they work effectively. There must be something for her...

    Can someone help me understand?

    Hello

The fact is that if Toshiba energy saving is installed on the laptop Toshiba, the Microsoft OS power management doesn't work. You must use the Toshiba power saver to change settings.
In power save you will find different modes.
If the power supply is on if you need to change the power mode in the power section. Here, you simply mark the mode full power and click for details.
You can now find mode properties. Select the Power Saver tab.
You will find various controls that are responsible for different functions. Change the settings on the standby system controller.

  • HP 2009v: monitor going to sleep after connecting to a new PC

My parents have an old pc (HP Pavilion g3770l) that runs on windows XP and a relatively old monitor (HP 2009v). They work perfectly fine, but since his Win XP in most applications no longer work and is not fast enough to support new BONE. So I bought a new PC (HP 8200 Elite SFF) with win 7 pro 64-bit installed.

But when I plug in the monitor to the new PC, I get the message "monitor going to sleep" and the monitor turns off. PC turns. (I can hear the windows startup sound etc.). I tried the menu on the screen to change settings etc but it does not allow me to do. It just goes to sleep.

Combination of old monitor old pc still works.

Please help it was supposed to be a Christmas gift.

This unit may have many configurations, but is it possible that there is more to a port monitor (video output) and that the monitor is connected to happens to be inactive?  This can happen if the camera has built-in graphics card and also a video card is installed.

  • Satellite L50-B-1HU randomly goes into sleep mode

Randomly, my laptop (Satellite L50-B-1HU) goes into sleep mode.
It happened at least 10 times in the last two weeks.

Once by chance, he goes to sleep he requires the power button to turn, but the power button should be 1 to 3 times, as it can to sleep just after pressing the power button.

Its happen even if the pad is in use. In windows power options, I turned also to disable the mode 'sleep'.

The laptop itself has been used for two weeks (which has passed since the first use)

    Any advice?
    Thank you

Like Notepad running in the power of the battery or also using the power adapter plugged?
From my point of view of a few notebook could enter the mode "sleep" due to low battery.

Also some 3rd party application preinstalled on the laptop could set the camera in mode "Eve".
Guess what: try to start the laptop is safe mode and let it run for a longer period of time. It would be interesting to know if the laptop would be access to the sleep mode using safe mode.

You can also use the command "powercfg. Windows 8 PowerCfg has a useful switch called - energy.
This technique is valuable to solve sleep problems.
Start the console with the command: cmd.
    In the console type: powercfg-ENERGY

Now it takes 60 seconds and will create an HTML file that you can open in your web browser to get the full report of energy. Now quite sure if the information could be useful, but it might be interesting what details this report would provide.

  • I have a 610-1280qd Touchsmart when he goes to sleep night powers and must be reconnected

Disconnect the computer from the surge protector and plug it into the same place, nothing. Plug it into another dwelling in the surge protector, it lights up.

I plugged directly into the wall, the same symptoms, unplug it, plug it into the wall, nothing. Plug the surge protector, it lights up.

It is very consistent, by unplugging and plugging it into the same plug will not do anything, plug it in elsewhere, until she comes.

Summer than a REALLY sweet computer except for present a defect and it's weird.  I got this computer since February and it started about 2 months ago.

BTW, when I change the power management to have the screen go to sleep, but stay processor, it does not stay on a night which I suppose is not surprising. My power setting is balanced with the monitor in 10 minutes and the computer goes to sleep in 20 minutes.

After reading your post several times, then browsing the forums (HP and others), I suspect that this might be a question of power brick. It sounds BOUNCING so maybe that is a solution if you don't him have already explored.  Looks like others have had the same experience and the difficulty was to replace the brick.  I hope that if you find this message, your problem is already solved but if not, try this.

I am an employee of HP.

    Kind regards
