  IMPORTANT:

  • If you do not have the latest version of the Content Transfer application already installed on your computer, it may be available on the Support of Sony® Web site (for applicable models). The updated software and the driver for your Sony product are available online.
  • Alternatively, you can install the application from a CD included (if applicable) or a file on your Walkman® player (if any). Check your manual for more information on installing the included software. Information manuals, specifications and warranty for your Sony product is available online.
  • Installation of Content Transfer (Windows version only) requires the Windows Media Player 11 software.
  • It is recommended to use the Apple® iTunes® version 9 or later with the software Content Transfer of version 1.3 or later.

  Follow this procedure to transfer iTunes DRM files Plus® or other files containing not DRM, such as MP3 files, on your portable player using the Apple iTunes software:

  NOTE: A procedure is available to confirm that you try to playback files are DRM-free.

  1. Start the iTunes software.
  2. Connect your player to your computer.
  3. Launch the Content Transfer application if it is not started automatically.
  4. Locate the song in the iTunes software.
  5. Drag and drop the song then in the Content Transfer application.

  The Sync option does not appear that you have removed from the playlist in the menu of the Walkman player.

  It is recommended to delete the playlist of the player.

• How to consolidate the two different versions of the same album on a Walkman?

  I have two files "Worlds Torn Asunder" and "Worlds Torn Asunder [+ Digital Booklet] the first to 8 of the 10 songs while the latter contains the other two. When I open my list on the player, I have an option for each file and cannot read the album in its entirety in a single race because of this. I tried to copy and paste the two DB Edition to the standard edition, but the player just puts copies in the DB folder, even if they are in the standard folder on my computer.

  Welcome to the community of Sony.

  Try to copy the files on your computer and remove the Walkman player. After that, create a unique folder with all 10 songs on your computer. Connect the Walkman player to your computer and transfer the new folder with all 10 songs. Check if this workaround works.

  I bought a new Walkman - NWZ-E475 a few days ago. It's my third Walkman. I use the devices to download audio books from local libraries. Older devices work fine, but the new system said that the WMA audio books cannot be played on this. I can drag and drop them on the device by using Internet Explorer, but they will not play.

  Trying to transfer rights WMA files digital management DRM Windows Media Player. The Walkman player only supports these files when they are transferred through the Windows Media Player software. In addition, Walkman player must be recognized as MTP device. Follow the steps on the below technical support article:

  Using Windows 7 64 bit. I have met all the conditions to apply Firmware 1.01 on this page:

  When I get to the screen "Digital Software Update Tool (1/3)" with the message "plug in the appliance to update the software. I then plug in the appliance. Then, Windows 7 recognizes by opening a window named "WALKMAN." I close this window, return to the screen of the software update tool and press OK to continue.

  Then a Message Windows Open WARNING 'update device is connected currently. Connect the device to update before you continue. »

  I repeated the process several times, whenever I got the same error message. Of course the s device connected, I can use Windows Explorer to browse the file system of the NWZ-E345 then copy some files on it.

  I even copied the NWZ - E340_Firmware_v1_01.exe on the device itself and run the exe from there. Still have the same error message.

  Can you please let me know how to apply the update of the firmware, and BTW, what are the changes?

  Please ignore, I made a mistake in the model number. Mine is NWZ-E354 and I used software for NWZ-E34x.

  Just checked the Sony site, there is no newer firmware for the E35x series.

  Which driver? You plug the USB cable and it shows up as an external drive - computer should recognize pretty good right now. Then, you use the software that came with it (Media Go) or Windows Media Player, iTunes or what and send your music files to it. You can even drag and drop MP3 files into the music using Windows Explorer folder.

  My grandmother bought a reader of CD Walkman Sony D-NE241 less than two years who has worked flawlessly until it broke. He has been replaced by an identical device that plays very well the CD, but the volume is very low. Even at the highest volume possible, it is average lower on the previous unit.   It may be possible that the AVLS (automatic Volume limiter system) of the Walkman player is activated. The AVLS function limits the maximum volume level in order to protect listeners hearing. The default setting for the AVLS function is turned on and displayed on the LCD when the volume has reached the maximum level allowed by the AVLS function.

  Sony D-NE241 is not sold in North America. You can contact Sony support in your country for more information on the functions available in the CD Walkman player and for known problems.
