  If you have the latest drivers and software from the laptop maunfacturer installed I suggest that, as it is a problem of keyboard with all the programs that you contact the manufacturer of the laptop or ask their support forums

• Pavilion 15-p077TX: my HP Pavilion p077TX 15 notebook freezes when moved from its position

  Whenever I move my laptop from its position, it freezes. As I kept my phone on my bed and I pick it up and place it on my lap then it crashes / freezes. So every time I have to remove the battery and put it again whenever this happens. Sometimes twice a day. It gets really frustrating whenever you do something important. So what I can make of this is that whenever I move the laptop to a certain speed, it freezes, it means that something inside it moves from its ideal location (doesn't happen when I move it very slowly).

  Any cause of definte and the solution?

I recommend that you only take the laptop to a repair center to find the part that is loose. You can check your warranty here.

• Windows Mail - Can't delete emails from any box (Inbox, deleted items, items, etc...).

  In October, my Windows Mail simply stop allowing me to remove anything.  I noticed it first in my Inbox, so I went to my "deleted items" empty to make (thinking that it was question) instead, but found that I could not delete individual emails or use the tool to empty folder.  Windows Mail doesn't allow me to delete ALL emails from ANY folder, so now I need to access my emails on the internet, but it's a pain that my address book is in position.

  I googled solutions and tried a few corrections people recommended when they are unable to remove files from a single folder.  They don't solve anything.  I thought corrupted program so I would update and downloaded Windows Live Mail hoping to fix it, but same problem remains.

  Error message when you try to delete individual reading by e-mail: "Message could not be deleted."  Error message when you exit the program: "certain elements in the"Deleted items"folder cannot be deleted.  An error has occurred. "Nothing specific, but ANY element of ANY folder can be deleted.

• 2740 - Dead Zones touchscreen - blind spots keep alternating from consecutive cycles of power

  I return my 2740 two days and since I am faced with the question of areas inaccessible to the corners of the touch screen.

  To explain further, I'm numbering of the corners as 1,2,3,4 from the top left and go elsewhere (with the display in normal mode for portable computer with keyboard open).

  I'm dead in 3 corners (2,3 and 4) zones. I can drag and drop the slider to one of those corners, I can do the selection rectangle on the desktop windows (but of course from a position away from these corners, when even it means that they are not totally dead), but I can't save any tap (i.e.. clique) on these corners for about 1 to 1.5 cm. considering that, in the corner 1 works perfectly.

  What makes this problem even more strange is that these dead zones alternating custody after consecutive/recovery stops after sleep, that is.

  After stop/standby #1: blind spots are # 2,3,4

  After stop/standby #2: blind spot is no. 1

  After stop/standby #3: blind spots are # 2,3,4

  After stop/standby #4: blind spot is no. 1

  After stop/standby #5: blind spots are # 2,3,4

  After stop/standby #6: blind spot is no. 1

  And a normal restart has no effect on blind spots, there must be a stop or a sleep-CV. Given that each of the corners work, but not all together, makes me very doubtful that this could be a hardware fault.

  I already tried the following hotfixes mentioned by people facing similar problems with their 2740:

  1. different "Wacom Digitizer Driver" published by HP, April 30, 2010, June 23, 2010 and November 22, 2010, respectively.

  2 reloaded Windows 7 Professional 64 bit from scratch and I tried all kinds of drivers, even those of Wacom Web site.

  3. power cycled my unit, that is. has out the battery and ran my unit from the mains without the battery.

  Any information would be extremely useful and appreciated. Others who are facing similar issues well to respond to this thread as well.

  I was able to completely solve the problem of dead with a simple update zone

  For convinience other users faced with similar problems, I'm reposting the fix as suggested by in4mer. If you encounter problems with these steps, please browse the thread started by in4mer, to:

  Please download and install the following ' Indoor/outdoor Touch Panel and Pen Firmware Update', by using the following link:

  Don't forget to read the 'Installation Instructions'. If the executable provided by HP is unable to create the bootable USB key, then follow the next procedure.

  Step 1. Creating a USB bootable BACK by following the instructions at:
  How to format a USB stick

  Note: You don't need additional utilities, so no need to copy the files from the Win98 startup disk manually on the USB key, just leave him with the 3 files illustrated in the screenshot of last second.

  Step 2 Copy all the files in the folder "Rompaq" on USB. This folder can be located either in the directory "C:\SWSetup\sp49201", or anywhere where the executable updates downloaded to date (i.e. sp49201.exe) excerpt from its content. Or, you can just use 7 - zip to extract the content of sp49201.exe and to access the folder "Rompaq.

  Note: You may need to activate the options "Show hidden files" and "Visualize protected system files", which is located under the 'View' tab in 'Folder Options', which can be opened from the menu item "tools > Folder Options ' in 'Windows Explorer '. In ' Vista/Windows 7' press the 'Alt' key to make the menu bar in 'Windows Explorer' visible.

  Step 3 Start your computer using the USB. After the comand prompt appears, type "SAM. BEATS", and then press on enter if the value of your monitor starts with"DRY"or type"HYDIS. BEATS"and press ENTER if the value of your monitor starts with"BEP ".

  Note: Boot Menu options are available by pressing the key "F9" as soon as the computer starts to boot and HP logo appears.

  Then you may check the list of extensions and disable or remove those that are not essential or unrecognized. Open the page modules using either:

  • CTRL + SHIFT + a
  • Firefox orange (or the Tools menu) button > Add ons

  In the left column, click Extensions. Then, in case of doubt, disable or remove.

  Typically, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

  I hope that will completely get rid of it.

  If it comes back, you may have to uninstall something in the control panel.

  Good evening. As you can see on the subject, my computer just cannot boot from any hard disk that I put on it. I tried swapping the power supply, SATA cable, reset the BIOS, allowing the start legacy, changing to AHCI to IDE and RAID...

  When I get to the BIOS Setup, I see the hard drive and its features, but it will not start or show when I am trying to install a new OS. I'm not an expert, but I think that the problem could be in the motherboard SATA ports, but I'm not sure. Just to be sure, I tried another harddrive and it did not work as well.

  I was also thinking to buy a HDD external and installation of my OS on it, but I don't even know if it is possible and I would really like to have my computer working again.

  When I select and right click to copy text from any Web site in firefox8, I have a large white screen. I had no problem until I upgraded to 8.

  Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).
