  Since update 10.11.4 yesterday, I can't select more words from keyboard:

  ALT + SHIFT + left/right arrow

  Before the update that this shortcut could allowed me to quickly select words by keyboard only.

  single: ALT + SHIFT + up arrow / down paragraphs selection work.

  and ALT + left arrow / right to jump with the cursor between words.

  Anyone else who has this problem?

  Your code is struggling while veryfying selection.

  I suggest to create a new function to do this work and back on a Word or false.

  This function must check if:

  • selection is valid
  • selection is "text".
  • detect if the selection is 'block' or 'cursor '.
  • find the last word and back OR false

  That is like this:

• Touchpad do what it wants on Satellite Pro A100

  I've owned my A100-PSAANE-03G00DEN during satellitue about 4 weeks now and I really like it and get used to windows vista, but I have a problem and it's the touch pad.

  It seems to do what it wants and reduces windows when I don't want it and it is very annoying.

  I read the post from another user, but I'm still no wiser about what to do to stop the touchpad, that. I'm not litirate of the computer so that any help would be most useful.

  I have a satellite A100-159. I have the following problem: in Word the cursor happens sometimes while scrolling. This means that during the scrolling I see two sliders that is 'left behind' and a real cursor (when I use PG. prev or PAGE down or box that disappears the cursor "left behind"). I already reinstalled Word and in other applications it doesn't seem to be a problem (but I have to say that I use the Word most, with large documents).

  I think that happens because of fast scrolling of large, long word documents.
  Unfortunately, I think it's a matter of Word and there is nothing to do.
  But you suggested that happens sometimes, and only in Word so I think that it s a big problem.

  It seems varialbe - sometimes, I can type a letter and then he jumps on another line (upwards or downwards and in the middle of other words) other times I can get half a sentence typed before he jumps.

It is very annoying since I have to close the file, I'm trying to stop the behavior. and sometimes it will not even do this, I have to open a session

  If the Touchpad is too sensitive and even the slightest brush of the hand or sleeve (wrists) causes the laptop thinking that you "click the mouse". This makes the insertion point jump to where ever the cursor is being located. What you need to do is to go into the setup for the Touchpad and disable the mouse click simulation or change the sensitivity of much lower. that is, if you go to control panel, mouse, you should be able to change the sensitivity of the touchpad or disable the function 'click '. Or if you have an attached external mouse then just turn it off. Reduce the sensitivity option low and verify if you are able to work with Word normally.

  Insert a USB mouse and check if you are facing the issue. If it works great, I recommend you contact your pavement tactile manufacturer for additional support.
