Want DV6-7304ee: order the DVD of recovery

My recovery partition has been changed by Ubuntu who hid all the files of windows 8. I have raised this issue in the forum and advised him to make a recovery DVD. However, I can't order it via the page of drivers for my model that is WANT DV6-7304ee. How can I order the DVD and how much it costs?

To answer your original question, usually, I advise to use HP recovery media to restore your PC to its original state. That would erase the entire disk, format the drive and install the operating system, drivers and utilities HP. Unfortunately, there is no support of HP recovery related to HP for your PC Product Page.  You can try to contact the HP customer directly, using the links below, to see if you can order them if:

If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

If HP no longer provides a recovery media for your model, a few other sites, you can check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/

As for the cost, it varies by the PC and the site that order you from.  I've seen reports of prices ranging from US $10-$ 40 USD.

OOD luck

I'm a volunteer and I do not work for, or represent, HP.

  • If I get the dvd of recovery to win s 7 of the manufacturer, what problems is I meet when I try to boot from a usb dvd player

    Separated from this thread.

OK here is what I was asking.  If I get the dvd of recovery to win s 7 of the manufacturer, what problems I will get when I try to boot from a usb dvd player.  I worry because my computer is uefi firmware. should I disable secure boot, make sure the dvd usb drive first in the boot order.  What other bios setting I would be worried.

You will get a facility better if you find the ISO to create such media as discussed in step 1 of the clean reinstall Windows 7 follow these steps to get the best possible installation.  You can even create flash media if that's easier for you.

Regard to Recov disks that reinstall all the bloatware factory, Yes, you must disable Secure Boot in firmware that doesn't support UEFI to install Windows 7, and then start the media as a UEFI device.

After installation, you can pick up some performance and optimize the installation by following Clean Up Factory Bloatware .

You can also do a Clean install Windows 10 improvement using the Windows 7 product key, as this is explained in this link.   You can at any time change to Windows 7, even move back and forth until only is installed at the same time.

  • DVD Ripper - I want to know how the DVD in my computer as a CD ripper.

Hi, I want to know how the DVD in my computer as a CD ripper.

    Very well!

First of all this information works the DVD you own and varies depending on what version of Windows you are running.
If you need instructions for Vista or XP let me know, I'll give you instructions for Windows 7 (any version).

Initially to create a library called movies

    1. open your library view and right-click on the empty space.
    2. click on new-> library
    3. name your library. I called my own films so is easy to locate
    4. open your new library by double clicking on the icon
    5. click on include a folder, so a browse box appears
6 navigate on your way to the user of the rot. (This folder should contain my music, my documents etc.)
    7. right click and select new-> folder.
8 call this record movies or DVD, then click on include the folder in the box go.

    The library has created...

To rip the DVD on your computer, I recommend a program called DVD Shrink. It allows to create copies compressed your DVDs while retaining the structure of the menu, special features, etc. and you can reduce an image DVD at 40% of its original size.

You'll need to hunt this software online because there are many people who speak but does not host the file.

Once you have ripped the DVD Shrink it helps in a folder in your C:\ drive normally will be called the same as the DVD.

Move this file into your movie library and hey presto your first movie.

You can then add this wo Windows Media Center Library using the add folder function and watch your dvd without going through the DVD in the drive.

If you need further instructions on DVDShrink let me know and I'll try to implement this step by step.

  • Order the CD from recovery or recover the original settings?

    Hi all

I just got my laptop L500-1XL a week ago. When I got it I was annoyed by HALF my hard drive supported by the recovery partition.
and the thought that the recovery CD would do the same job. So I formatted and reinstalled. Only one problem... I noticed my laptop being a bit slower
He notes: the poorest in the sides of windows (excellent portable 32-bit = athlete have to run around a garden for the year). THEN I noticed
the recovery CD is only 32-bit... I have unknowlingly downgraded from 64 to 32 bit Win7...

OK, so I understand 64-bit present the following benefits:

    1. the future of computing, takes advantage of the most powerful computer parts
2 more resistant to viruses as a large part of the malware is made for 32 bit
3 two times by computer calculations which allows better performance

How to bring back 64 bit? Can I order a DVD 64? Also, if I'm wrong, I think that if I had to format using the Tosh DVD I might actually specify the size
of the recovery partition? Because I tried to use disk management and 3rd party software to resize and it just wouldn't... Tosh lock? I HATE having to find
and reinstall ALL drivers... There are loads, one or two is good, but... and we're usually taught to leave MS update of last resort, so I'd love the delivery of
    using a Tosh DVD.

Thanks a lot for the ideas, comments, help them.

I assume that your laptop has been delivered with the recovery image HDD Win7 64 bit and Win7 32 bit recovery DVD, right?
If you have 64-bit again try to order it on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

Sorry but I don't understand why not create you DVDs from such recovery as recommended by Toshiba.

  • NB500: How to use the DVD of recovery without a DVD player in the netbook?

    Background:

I have a 500 NB of Netbook that came with a Win7 Starter. I've upgraded to Win8 but doesn't like the wsn can't resolution screen high enough to open applications. The system became slower and slower like time, I decided to reset the device back to the original settings by using the Win8 function.

Progress in this process has been extremely slow and after seven hours (60% in fact) I had a scare that the content of my HARD disk can be copied somewhere on the web (cloud of NSA?  :)).

I turned off the unit and then nothing would no longer work. I bought the recovery software with WIN7 Starter of Toshiba Support that I couldn't find an ISO for WIN7 starter file, but it happened on a DVD...

    I have:
    + NB 500
    + Toshiba Recovery DVD
+ Bootable USB stick (I created this)
+ Product key for Win7 Starter

    Question:
What files are required to install Win7 from scratch (move files from DVD to the USB bootable)?
This procedure deletes old data from the HARD drive or will it take space?

    Concerning
    LS1 - d

It is not just that you think it is. As much as I know, you can't manipulate the data of recovery and work on your own boot media.

A better and easier way for you is to get somewhere external USB ODD and use for installation of recovery image. I NB520 and I bought external BD ODD and can use it for various actions such as the installation of the software for example.

I m wondering really you didn't create recovery USB drive. That was my first step after I bought this machine. Product key you have on the Microsoft sticker doesn't help. You can't use it for OS installation if you are using the version of the OS clean and you don t need it if you use original recovery image.
After the installation of recovery image pre-installed Windows version is correctly activated.
    > Will this procedure remove old data from the HARD drive or will it take space?
Yes. The whole HARD disc will be deleted so until you start with the installation of backup recovery image all your important data.

  • HP dv6 2001 - to the DVD ROM does not

My DVD RW drive shows blank DVD, but it cannot read any cd or dvd. is it damaged?

    Hello

The following procedure will test if your laptop can leave the advantage of trying a bootable disk in the CD/DVD player - it's that it rule on a possible error of Windows driver as the CD/DVD drive is controlled by the Bios when the laptop starts.  So if you find the laptop boot from the CD or DVD, then it's almost certainly a hardware failure in the optical drive itself and must be replaced.  The following assumes that you are using Windows 7.

Another PC, create a Windows 7 Rescue CD and DVD.  Download the ISO relevant from the link below.

    Windows 7 32 bit

    Windows 7 64 bit

You must use an app like ImgBurn to burn the ISO to a CD and then burn on a DVD - a guide on the use of ImgBurn to write an ISO on a disc is also herecorrectly.  Once created, shut down the laptop, tap on the ESC key as soon as you press the power button to access the start menu, insert the CD, select Boot Options ( f9 ), use the arrows to select the drive optical and hit enter - if you get a prompt to "Press any key to continue", and see if it boots from this drive - if not , let the first upcoming screen upward (this will show options for repair etc.) then just remove the CD and then repeat with the DVD to see if it will start also on this disc.

If the laptop won't boot from CD, it may well simply load directly in Windows, in which case, just try to boot from the DVD.

If you cannot start of each disc, then it would look like the optical drive must be replaced.

    Kind regards

I'm about to order a recovery cd for my Compaq Presario SR5250NX desktop PC, but whenever I look at this, it is said that it is impossible to find this system (in fact, this computer is too old). Is it possible that I can order one, maybe I was looking through the wrong end (SR5250NX).

  • Satellite A100-999: the process of recovery (without recovery DVD/CD)?

    Hi all

Here is my GOAL: I want to reinstall the original Windows Vista as it was when we bought this laptop.

My PROBLEM: we never managed to create recovery DVDs (just after the purchase), always gave an error... today and to my surprise, I can't find any operating system recovery tool is...

    1. to the power of power off: I tried the button "0" (as read on the internet), but did nothing special...

2 - I tried then in the options menu (after F8 on reboot): FIX YOUR COMPUTER
Then (after choosing the Spanish language and the connection as a user), I tried to launch the WINDOWS RESTORE COMPLETE lo, but he said that no CD/DVD... (no current number with this = CD/DVD drive works fine)

3 - I then tried another interesting option: RECOVERY HHD (more or less like this, as I have in Spanish version)... Just a pop-up open (maybe on the DVD recovery) but without any touch of the process...

    More complicated now, isn't?

    4 INFO:
I could find the hidden partition and display it. It contains files and folders: a record 'source', 'boot.sdi"if I remember correctly... and maybe more...
=> I copied on a USB key and registered on a new DVD (and the image.iso of them as well) and repeat points 2 and 3 above, but nothing has changed... (the content of this DVD is read without problem on another laptop)

    => QUESTIONS:
-This folder and files (found in the hidden partition) means that the recovery is still here?
-Are there a special file.exe or the procedure to follow in order to be able to launch these files found?
(my ultimate last chance: order than the recovery CD of Toshiba, if it is still possible)

    Thanks in advance
    S.

    > I understand now that these files (hidden partition) are those used for the display of this special menu (after you click REPAIR MY COMPUTER) with the COMPLETE WINDOWS RESTORE, RECOVERY HHD...

    > Is that correct?

No, the small hidden partition is created by the Windows system, and these aren't the recovery disc files.
Toshiba Recovery disk files are placed (in general) on the D partition, it is not hidden.

    > So I guess I should have a COLLECTION case somewhere... but I read in some messages of this type of comment: 'the series A100 not fitted the HARD drive recovery partition ".

That could be just because the A100 is old series and drive HARD recovery was not available at the moment
As far as I know the series A200 and new series were equipped with recovery option.

    > If not available, I'm already so on this last-chance-step explained above? This means to order the DVD of recovery on https://backupmedia.toshiba.eu/landing.aspx

Here is the link to the page where you can order a recovery for the EU Toshiba notebook disk series but I don't very well if you'll be able to order this disc don't due to the age of the laptop of m.

  • Satellite Pro 2100: How do I order the recovery CD

    Hi all...

I tried to use the search function to find the answer to this, but so far, I've been unable to.
I just had my laptop Toshiba Satellite Pro 2100 old friends, but the HARD drive is full of stuff I would never like games and old family photos that he told me to just delete.

Unfortunately he hasn't his recovery disk and I tried to enter the serial number in the disk drive service replacing and he says he's too old...

Anyone know where I can get one from?

    Hello

Hmm... the Satellite Pro 2100 is the old series of laptop and I doubt it could be possible to order the CD from recovery for this unit. But to achieve this, I recommend contacting the local Toshiba ASP for some details.

Another possibility to install the O on this old could be the use of the original CD of Microsoft Windows. After the installation of the own XP operating system you could visit the page of European disc of Toshiba and could download the necessary drivers.

You can find the drivers in the ARCHHIVE region.

  • Satellite L30-134: how to make a DVD of recovery on mine?

I want to make a new DVD of recovery like the one I had with my laptop series Satellite L30-134.
Can some tell me how I can do this?

You must purchase 3rd party applications to create the own recovery image. For example I did with Norton Ghost 2003.

  • How to start the installation of recovery on Satellite A200?

    I hope someone can help.

My laptop wouldn't start this morning, so I hit CTRL-ALT-DEL to restart, I got the splash screen telling me to press F2 or F12, let it go and stopped the laptop to a black screen with a cursor blinking in the upper left.
I had done a backup two days earlier, so decided it was time to do a factory restore and clean the disc.
I stopped, then pushed the value 0 (zero) key and exploited the power button, according to the instructions. When it beeps, I release the button and it now says:
Playing a disc error has occurred
Press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart

    And inside is:

    HARD DRIVE RECOVERY MODE *.

I received this Satellite A200 PSAF0A - 04 X 019 a family member, who does not create recovery discs when you set up the laptop.

I can do this is to access the recovery partition, then run a file manually, or is its beyond repair?

    See you soon

If you can not start installation of recovery of HARD drive on a regular basis there is no other way to access the recovery image.
To be honest I n don't know what means exactly this error. I put t know if there is a problem with the image of a HARD drive or recovery.

What you can do now is to install own OS and then download all the drivers, tools and utilities alone or try to contact Toshiba service provider and ask if they can order a DVD of recovery for you.

    1 insert the disc
2nd turn the pc on while keeping the key C pressed
    3. follow the instructions that appear on the screen

I tried as indicated but nothing happens and windows starts normally. I also tried to open the DVD when the pc is on and I can see the files but can t start the process.

Can someone help me solve this problem?

    Hello

have you tried to boot from the DVD? Of course, you can see the files on the DVD, but perhaps you need to change the boot order so it starts on the DVD instead. To do this, restart the computer, and then press F2 when you see the Toshiba logo on the screen during startup (F2 or which key it tells you to press to enter setup).

Move to the boot order in the BIOS setup and exchange the CD/DVD with the HARD drive so that the CD/DVD is top of the list. Go into the menu of the BIOS Exit Saving Changes and the computer will reboot. I hope that the recovery DVDs should start now, if it works and the completion of all facilities to return to the menu of the BIOS and follow the same instructions to change the CD/DVD in the second and put the HARD drive to the top of the list.

I hope that answers your question.
