Unable to order the DVD of backup

Ordered my copy of Windows 8 back in December 2012, my laptop has needed to be cleaned and I have to reinstall later. I wanted to order a backup DVD, but it won't allow me. It says "there was a problem with your order. Please verify your payment information and try again. "I choose any method of payment, although there are MORE than enough available funds in each account. By choosing paypal it calls even connect. Tried to call the command line, but I've been waiting for more than an hour now. I want to order my dvd :(

To answer your original question, usually, I advise to use HP recovery media to restore your PC to its original state. That would erase the entire disk, format the drive and install the operating system, drivers and utilities HP. Unfortunately, there is no support of HP recovery related to HP for your PC Product Page.  You can try to contact the HP customer directly, using the links below, to see if you can order them if:

If you live in the United States or the Canada, details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/phone-assist.html#section1

If you live elsewhere, contact details are on this page: http://www8.hp.com/us/en/contact-hp/ww-contact-us.html

If HP no longer provides a recovery media for your model, a few other sites, you can check are: http://www.computersurgeons.com/ and http://www.restoredisks.com/

As for the cost, it varies by the PC and the site that order you from.  I've seen reports of prices ranging from US $10-$ 40 USD.

I have investigated. I'm not entirely sure about this, but when window 8 went through its first users, I bought Windows 8 but also ordered the backup DVD. Yes, it's the complete installation, of course, if this is the upgrade license, you must have a qualifying version of Windows installed (XP, Vista, Windows 7, or even Windows 8 to use).

  • Unable to show the DVD

    Hello

You have disk problem as the CD/DVD is actually 4 discs in 1 case (burn CD & DVD and CD and DVD read).
Therefore, it is not unusual for 1 or 2 rooms with not so work that others do it properly.

    -----------------------------------------------------------------------

    Try this troubleshooting:

    Try this - Panel - Device Manager - CD/DVD - double-click on the device - driver tab - click
Update the drivers (this will probably do nothing) - then RIGHT click the drive - UNINSTALL - REBOOT
This will refresh the default driver stack. Even if the reader does not appear to continue below.

Then, work your way through these - don't forget the drive might be bad, could be a loose cable or
slight corrosion on the contacts (usually for a laptop) and other issues.

Another possibility is that the cables are loose. Remove ALL power, then make sure that the cables in both
ends. Remove and replace, do not just tight. For laptops, you can often clean power and
contacts data with a pencil eraser. Maybe check system manufacturer and manufacturer of device to update
    firmware.

  • Problem restoring previous version of FF bookmarks, "Unable to process the file of backup.", already tried to delete "places.sqlite".

I reformatted and reinstalled Windows 7 on a computer that has not been used for about a year. Before wiping the HARD drive, I saved Firefox bookmarks in the form of a .json file (I don't know what version of FF was installed on the computer before, but I know it was at least a year).

After reinstalling Windows and install Firefox 24.0, I tried to restore the bookmarks using the "Bookmarks-> import" and backup-> restore-> Choose File... "option. I get the error says "Failed to process the backup file."

I tried to search for this problem but I couldn't find anything precise. It sounds ridiculous because I just installed FF, I tried to delete the file "places.sqlite" based on other similar problems, but that did not fix the problem.

My only thought is that it must be a problem with incompatible versions of FF bookmarks. Is it possible to recover bookmarks in the .json file?

Oh my god. I removed the comma, who pointed out the error report and file and bookmarks have been restored!

    How this comma go?

Thank you for linking me to the validation tool. It has been extremely helpful.

I ended up connecting to a laptop computer directly in the uplink switch to a virtual LAN management port. I'm using the correct user name and password. I have disabled the firewall on my laptop. Still no luck. The backup fails every time.

I use a SolarWinds SCP server. For the remote directory, I just give: c:\SCP

Can you suggest a different software of the SCP or report a possible solution, please?

    Hi Atle,

Path you have given is not correct. C:\SCP that the installed application will understand.

To the FI, you must provide the path to the linux format. For example if you have the ucsbackup under the C:\SCP folder, and then specify the name of the folder in the remote path.

Otherwise you can leave it blank as well.
