Link to download Windows 8 (not Pro) 64-bit OEM .iso:

http://www.Google.com/URL?SA=t & rct = j & q = en_windows_8_x64_dvd_915440.iso & source = web & cd = 1 & cad = AJLN & sqi = 2 & ved = 0CC0QFjAA & url=https%3A%2F%2Fdocs.google.com%2Fopen%3Fid%3D0B0W9PBigPy94aVJWSndyTFNFMzg & ei = ftWCUd29BciB0QHSioGABg & usg = AFQjCNGk_fXi98HFb4oC59xNqqGxDLH - 4Q and bvm bv.45960087, d.dmQ

You don't know how to burn an .iso in a bootable drive, right? I still think 64 GB will be very tight, but if you exercise the discipline as ensuring the program installation and 'My Documents' on the other drive, you might be OK. Remove the drive from 750 GB during the installation of Windows 8... only have the SSD into the computer and make sure it is in the primary Bay. The drivers and preinstalled programs must be in an on the original drive swsetup folder in the c: / root.

It is hosted outside on google reader in the cloud and when you go to download, you will get a "we can't find the virus ' warning. I can say that I downloaded and used about 60 days ago to do exactly what you do... reinstall Win 8 on another hard disk on a new computer. It has worked well and there is no virus. You want to scan once you download it, however.

I tried to find them even in several of the themes of this site, but they seem to not work.

    Hello:

First of all, download and install the amd chipset drivers and restart.  To install the smbus and usb3 controllers.

You want the first file listed in the page.

  • Want DV7 - 7227cl: Add bluetooth to urge DV7 - 7227cl

Y at - it a combo Mini PCIe wifi/BT card that will add Bluetooth to AMD 682220-001 motherboard

    Hello:

According to the service manual for your laptop, Chapter 3, page 28, there are a few cards, wlan/bluetooth of different model that are supposed to work with your model.

None of the Intel adapters will not work because your laptop has an AMD processor and chipset.

    http://h10032.www1.HP.com/CTG/manual/c03591253

IMO, your best option would be to get the Broadcom 4313GN 802.11b/g/n WiFi and 20702 Bluetooth 4.0 1 × 1

Combo adapter HP Part # 657325-001.

You might be able to get this cheap card on eBay by questioning by the part number.

At the time that your model has been produced, HP began to remove the blocking of the BIOS.

A white list of BIOS contains the hardware ID's of the supported wireless cards HP can be used in specific model books.  If a wireless network card ID was not in the whitelist, the PC does not start until the wlan unsupported card is removed.

No one knows for sure exactly when it was made or on which models, so I recommend you buy a card with the HP part number thereon, or it may not work.

If you want to roll the dice and assume that the white list does not exist for your model, you can go to the broadcom dual band with bluetooth adapter.

  • Want DV7-7230us: HP Envy DV7-7230us dual band wireless compatibility

    Hi all -

I have a DV7-7230us that I've updated massively since the purchase at a great price about 3 years - new display, 500 GB SDD, Win10-Pro, memory maxed out, etc..

This laptop has all the abilities and raw power I need a laptop, but one thing that bothers me is the minimap original wireless in - it's single-channel video, 2.4 GHz a/b/g.

I would like to replace it with the Intel Dual Band Wireless-AC 7260 2 x 2 Networok/Bluetooth adapter (7260.HMWWB. (R), but I just want to ensure compatibility before you start down this path here - anyone had success and/or advice I should on this? If not compatible, does anyone know card dual band wireless compatible AC that works?

    Thank you!

    Hello

Your machine was built long before mid-2014, so the chance to upgrade the wifi card is slim to zero. There is a list on page 7 of the following document:

Option: AC USB wireless card is the way to go.

  • Want DV7 7255 DX: Can I put RAM in HP Envy DV7 7255 DX

I have a HP DV7 want 7255 DX, and I look to updrade significantly the amount of RAM. I don't know if I can even update, and if I can improve, how much more I can put in. Here are the specs curent:

    Laptop product #: C6N73UA #ABA

Curent RAM: 6 GB DDR3 SDRAM (2 DIMM)

    Slot 1: 2 GB Samsung 1600 MHz

    Slot 2: 4 GB Samsung 1600 MHz

I would like to replace the very minimum, current 2 GB with a 4 GB key (the same as the current 4 GB in there), to have a total of 8 GB. I would also consider that, by replacing the two slots with 8 GB sticks for a total of 16 GB. It looks like my OS is fine with that, just do not know if the motherboard would be able to use it. (IE: I don't want to put in more can be used and only waste money on it, if 8 GB is the maximum).

I recently installed Avid editing software and it says I need a minimum of 8 GB to operate effectively. I also have Virtual PC installed to run a hidden player XP for old software that I still use, and I noticed a considerable delay in all that done in windows 8.1 while virtual drive is running simultaneously. I suspect that this could be also related to the not enough RAM.

Bottom line: is it possible to put the amount of RAM, and if so, how can I put it? Thanks in advance for your help.

I understand that in the certified modules like the original HP or Kingston, manufacturers already proposed this setting, so it's very unlikely for 16 GB hot much more than 6 GB original.

So, to begin with, at the time of the purchase, I've added the 650 M GeForce graphics card to my dv7 Quad Edition ENVY. I had no problem for some time. Recently, I had a problem with the display. He was sent repair and replaced the motherboard. I got my cell phone and my problem has been fixed. However, now in the HP Support Assistant and Speccy I am presented with the specifications of my laptop listing a 630 M GeForce graphics card. I contacted support and they said it was a problem with the drivers. Before that my laptop was sent in that I had no problem, he said that I was running with a 650 M. I don't know if everyone saw topics such as this one, but I looked up and down the Internet and did not see anything showing a problem like this. I am deeply concerned that a mistake was made and that I returned a laptop with a lower graphics card.

  • Recovering files to want DV7 7240US

My hard drive is failing.  Still, it starts, but crashes after about 10 minutes, even if unused.

I intend to replace the hard drive.  What don't get me, is how to get Windows 8 and all software pre-installed on my new hard drive.  I backed up all my files and documents already.

It seems that I need recovery disks.  If I create now (using the old failing hard drive) will they be corrupt?  I think I'll be able to create because I can't enter the HP utility to do, but I do not want to introduce the old problem in the new hard drive.

If this does not work, is there another way to get the recovery disks?  The laptop is a few months out of warranty.

    Hello:

It should not be a problem if you can create the recovery disks.

They will be made for the recovery hard disk partition.

To order the recovery media for your laptop, click on the link below, and then click to expand the line of order recovery media.

Then click on the blue button more details.

    http://h10025.www1.HP.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?OS=4132&LC=en&cc=us&DLC=en&sw_lang=&product=5318931

For the recovery disks work your replacement hard drive must be at least the same size as the original storage capacity.

They probably won't work on a small hard drive.

  • drivers for windows 8 to 7 want dv7 7323 cl donwgrade

I need help to donwgrade windows 8 for windows 7 in my hp dv7 7323 cl desire...  Is this possible?  because I ' ve been looking for drivers for windows 7 and I cannot find them. "  If anyone knows how to do. I thank you a lot for help because I ' m faced with windows 8!

    WARNING *.

HP does not recommend installing Windows 7 on a computer comes with Windows 8, and it will support the installation of Windows 7. HP doesn't provide drivers for Windows 7 and the appropriate drivers are not available for the hardware in the computer. In addition, Windows 7 can not take in charge some of the hardware or software designed for the computer.

Make sure you create your media recovery HP or USB Flash Recovery discs before you edit or change anything.

    You should ENABLE 'Secure Boot' and maybe 'Legacy Support' in the 'BIOS Setup boot secured' on the settings page below, before you try to install Windows 7;

In addition, as the hard drive is partitioned as TPG, you must start the computer by using the "UEFI - CD/DVD drive" in the start menu "F9". If "UEFI - CD/DVD drive" or something to that effect does not exist in the start menu, please post a screenshot and/or make startup listed options.

I suggest to use a disc of Windows 7 SP1 for the best installation experience. If you need a Windows SP1, see 'How to install Windows 7 without the disc' to download and create your own. If the DVD does not start as UEFI, you may need to use a USB Flash drive (can ask "Quick start" DISABLING in BIOS) as the installation media. Please download the Windows 7 USB/DVD download tool to create a Windows 7 SP1 USB Flash drive.

    Most of the Windows 7 drivers on the HP Pavilion dv7t-7000 CTO Entertainment Notebook PC Edition Quad drivers & downloads page should work on a HP dv7 - 7323 cl computer. If you have problems installing the correct drivers, please post in the Device Manager of Windows "Hardware ID", for missing or unknown as devices listed below;

My wife and I have dv7 envy. She worked on an advertising campaign for a large company tonight and his computer screen went dark and the unit started clicking.

She tried to restart, without success - just a black screen and clicking.

Fortunately she has most of its data stored on an external hard drive, but the current campaign has not been registered there. Any ideas on what we can do to recover unsaved data, or how to solve the issue of this defective and very expensive paper weight?

(As a side note, when I bought my desire, I had to take immediately: it has no operating system installed!) The following one I got would not connect to internet after about 3 months, and I was tasked to do a factory reset by support staff.  Two weeks later, he left again. Then I was told to make a few minor changes in the way that the tracking system the functionality of timeout for Internet connections. My wife was OK that she had had bad experiences in the past with HP, and that things have not changed one iota? Sorry for the mug shot)

Any contributions to this issue will be appreciated.

I had this problem, I replaced the disk hard drive with 2 different ones, no luck, tried the RAM, motherboard number possible, this machine can hold 2 hard drives.
