  Depending on your operating system, do one of the following:

  ● Windows 7: from the Windows Start menu, click devices and printers.

  ● Windows Vista: on the Windows Start menu, click Control Panel, and then click Printers.

  ● Windows XP: in the Windows Start menu, click Control Panel, and then click Printers and faxes.

  Double-click your printer icon open the print queue.

  In the printer menu, click Cancel all documents or Purge Print Document and then click Yes to confirm.

  I had one desire to 4500 for about 18 months and just bought a 4520 desire and want to use interchangeably two printers.  When installing drivers 4520 want to internet, he failed twice. I used the CD provided and managed to instal want 4520 successfully.  I note however for the digitization of the device and the printer control panel, Envy 4500 has been "removed" but not deleted.  It seems that I must reinstal 4500 want next time I want to use it.  Is there a better solution?  They both cannot exist under another printer?

  In theory, the two must be able to exist together.

  Just that alone can be the default printer and if you want to print from another printer, you must select specifically in some software/applications that you use.

  Suggest that you uninstall and reinstall each one printer at a time again.

  First select a printer, select win 10 OS download/install the FULL features software, then repeat with the 2nd printer. Note that the 2nd printer will "Default" (since it is the most recent must be installed)

  At home, I have a HP Envy 4500 all-in-one printer / scanner. I can the documents sent by e-mail to hpepint and that works very well.

  But I'm at work in another city and you want to scan a document located on the 4500 feel like at home.

  My phone app it won't unless it is connected to the same WiFi network as the printer.

  I see by your post that you would like to know if the printer can be configured by a USB connection and wireless in Windows Vista and Windows 8.1. I would like to help you today.

  Yes, you can set up the printer with a USB connection and also through the wireless network.

  On some models they have an Ethernet connection, but this printer is not, when the Ethernet cable is connected, it will disable the wireless. But not a USB connection.

  You can install a USB connection and wireless on each computer, if you wanted to, it will create a second icon in the printers and devices window. Then, you would choose only one to print to. As a driver backup, if the wireless is already down.

• WANT to 4500 wireless issues

  I'm trying to set up my new 4500 want on my windows 8 PC, wireless.

  I connected the printer through the wireless on the printer setup screen to the network. I think it's successful because the print report said "without problems" and I have a light blue conintuous on the printer.

  The problem is when I try to set up on my PC it does not find the printer. I do not have any antivirus running the bottom and I even disabled the windows firewall, but it still does not find anything. Even when I put the IP address or the host name it still can't find it.

  I used the 'Doctor' HP and it does me no solutions either. I tried powercycling the modem, router and printer several times but who doesn't either.

  Can someone please?

  Recently, I tried to use my 4500 want to print photographs, using HP Premium Plus Photo paper. Each attempted printing resulted in the printer telling me that there is a paper jam. I would open it upwards, remove the paper (which has never been really stuck - just looks like he started getting into the printer and stopped) and try again... Paper jam. I don't have the paper in the tray - went out my plain paper. I am able to print correctly on plain paper, but it won't take photo paper. Any ideas on how to solve this problem?

  Make sure that the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (do not use a hub or a surge protector) This ensures that the printer is full on and can help this situation.

  Available online software is designed for Windows or Mac, not for iOS.

  At first, I don't know what I'm doing or talk, so please when replying keep things simple! :-)

  I want to HP wireless 4500 printer, which is great, but I can't use it wireless with a usb key. I did all the instructions for setting up (this is my second attempt on this laptop because it just came back to be fixed and I had to re - install the printer again) I did troubleshooting, doctor scan etc, all said the printer is connected and works fine, but the wireless connect it is use is not wireless my laptop is turned on. So to make the printer work wireless I disconnect my connection wireless internet (which means I can't access or print all documents saved in the cloud) Confussed? Yes, me too!

  I could always use the printer very well if I'm at the office with usb, but I have a laptop so that I don't need to be sitting in my office, all the time! My daughter would also like to print stuff without having to email them to me first.

  Any suggestions how to fix it please?

  I want to help you with questions you have set up your HP Envy 4500 eAll-in-one for wireless printing.

  You mentioned that the printer wireless is different from the wireless that uses your computer. You have more than one router? This can complicate matters when you try to configure the wireless printer.

  You will need to know your network name (SSID) and your wireless password in order to connect the printer to the network that you use on your laptop.

  If you don't know what this is, you can download the HP Print and Scan doctor.

  To retrieve your network information using this tool, download and run the file, and then follow these steps:

  • At the top of the window, select network.
  • In the drop-down list, select Show Advanced Info.
  • Then select view wireless info
  • Your network name and password will be displayed in the box at the bottom of this window.

  Once you have your network information, you must run the Setup on your printer wireless Assistant.

  1. in the home of the printer screen, press the wireless icon (to the right of the screen)

  2. Select settings at the bottom of the screen

  3. use the arrows to select Wireless Setup Wizard, and then press OK

  4. a list of available networks will appear. Select the network to which your computer is connected, and then press OK

  5. it will then prompt you the network password, use the top and down arrows to navigate the keyboard and press OK to select each letter or number. NOTE: The password is case-sensitive. You can use the button on the lower left corner of the screen to change the keyboard uppercase, lowercase and numbers.

  Once the printer is connected to the network, run the CD of the software provided with your HP printer again. It prompts you to install a new printer.

  If the printer is not seen wireless software try to do a reset of network.

  We'll leave the router and unplug the power cable (NOTE: do not reset the router.), and then do the same with the printer and shut down the computer. After a minute, plug in the router, wait to fully turn on, then plug the printer back in and wait for the wireless light become solid. Once the router and the printer are on, go ahead and re - turn on the computer. This will refresh the network connection.

  I just bought and hp envy printer 4500. It is connected to my computer via a usb cable. It can print test and diagnostics pages, but nothing else. I tried all the troubleshooting methods involving tests all my ports usb (2.0 and 3.0). I wonder what I should do to get the printer to communicate properly with my computer so that I can print pictures and normal documents.

  I ran what appeared to be very similar to the full install procedure but at the end he came with another printing a test page button, I tried just to look at the document appear in the queue and then disappear as she had done with all other tests in print, but it has actually worked and so far the problem seems to be fixed.
