It's really annoying, because the file name of the saved file does not identify it somehow, and I find myself with a bunch of unknown files on the desktop.  How can I go back to being able to view the file when it is downloaded (and so to save it on the spot with an understandable file and to an appropriate folder name)?

  I know you hate Adobe, but this parameter does not have to do with Adobe at all, in fact... This is an internal setting of Firefox.

  Anyway, change go to Tools - Options - Applications and enter "pdf" in the filter field. Change the action associated with this type of file to do what you want, in this case always 'ask '.

  I have been using a Sony HDR - HC3 Handycam HDV1080i VCR for many years and have been able to download parts of a video on the part of the band whenever I wanted to.  The camera recently died and I replaced it with an exact version that I still had the band to download videos, so I decided to buy a used recorder which manages the same MiniDV tapes.  When I go to download the only now allows me to download the whole band or nothing.  Someone can explain why this is and is anyway to download portions at a time?   I save machines under tension and can pass from one to the other before I had a chance to download them.

  You can't just drag them anywhere, but you can sort them by the date that they were taken with the camera absolutely.

  Right click on an empty spot, choose "sort by" and choose "Date."

• The default navigation toolbar has disappeared. I want to reinstall it. I now have no way to go back, refresh, etc..

  Don't forget the Navigation bar is enabled (checked = displayed; uncontrolled won't = displayed)

  If you don't have a title bar, toolbars, tabs, you can be in full screen. The F11 key activates / turns off Mode full screen or not.
