Want to 750-124 HP: HP 750-124 power PCI for Geforce GTX 950 video card connection

I oened my HP Envy 750-124 to add a videocard GeForce GTX 950 and 6 pin PCI power cord to power the card could not be found. There is a PCI Express slot present on the motherboard, but no way to connect the power supply Board. So what don't understand me?  Thank you.

You're welcome, @DFB2.

The difference in both models, is that the 700-074 craving came with an installed 460W PSU.  That might be enough to run the GTX 950 correctly.  Even some of these PSU is not additional power adapters.  It depends on a lot of other components that are installed in the computer.  Video card manufacturers give room for all situations.  Normally, I would recommend buying a PSU that is at least 100W above the manufacturer stated minimum requirements.  I hope that explains the situation better.

Here are the Product Specifications for the power supply in the 700-074:

Form factor: ATX internal
Total wattage: 460W
Nominal input voltage range:
100-127V/3A (50-60 Hz)
200-240 v/2A (50-60 Hz)
Dimensions: 150 x 140 x 86 mm (5.9 x 5.5 x 3.4 inches)
* This power supply has an LED to indicate a possible failure condition when the light is off and the power is connected.

I went to very difficult to leave my boyfriend to buy this pc.  First of all, that we now live in different countries.  I live in the United States and he lives in England.  We met on a PS3 game online called DUST 514 and played a lot of pc games together as well.  It is difficult to have to steal it back, but we're getting married soon and I'll come to England.  He needs a new PC for years and was jealous of my Alienware Aurora R4. So I decided to buy one that is still better than mine since it's even greater player I am . This will also allow us to play more games together .

Then I he wired the money and thought that everything would be ok, but you wouldn't believe the amount of screw - rises, that Dell threw on him!  They had even cancel a bunch of commands of the peoples, b/c, trying to control his spec-ed on Alienware has revealed a major screw-up affecting many clients... (Sorry, it made me delete/modify-this until his order passes through.  Dell representatives were concerned about what happened past.  I don't know if they told people that they had to cancel the real reason why orders and the possible impact on customers with currently Alienware Aurora...  I'll tell you what they have done after that his order is finally through.  Just a hint... inside your Alienware Aurora, check if you own to make sure that everything you ordered is actually there...)  He tried to do this for a week now...  I thought Dell was a little better than that... I knew they had bad grades, but really?...  In any case, it is a complete system stressed mess of it all back and on phone calls and e-mails with different people of Dell.  So I thought that, if it still manages to get the Alienware, maybe I can do even better!

He really should have an SSD, so I'll get a. He was talking and drool on the maps of Titan, so I'll give him two EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX TITAN Superclocked 6 GB GDDR5 2DVI/HDMI/DisplayPort PCI - Express cards in SLI config! : http://pcpartpicker.com/part/evga-video-card-06gp42791kr

I've never built a pc or tinkered with all hardware.  I want to make this even more impressive pc by adding an SSD.  I think I can install an SSD without any problem (I want the Samsung 849 EVO Mz-7TE1T0BW 2.5 "1 TB SSD)... Oops... I just thought of something... 4 TB SATA is actually 4 2 TB SATAs, put in place with 2 as the mirror...  I think that there are only 4 connectors for extension for SSD/HDD... Is this correct?  I have to replace one of the SATAs 2 TB with the 1 TB SSD?  What configuration I would define then the three SATAs 2 TB?  Would it be to say that he would have only 1 TB SATA? Could I set up so that it has SATA 1.5 TB (with SATAs split with half active and part of the half of the mirror for a RAID configuration)?  Furthermore, I have really no idea what RAID is or fact, just that you only half of total storage really active and the second half is as a backup in case of failure of a disk or something to avoid any data loss total... It is also the thing that I'm confused about that I don't know if it is also possible to install two graphics cards of Titan in SLI configuration on the micro ATX motherboard, I guess its Alienware Aurora will be, and still less 1 Titan.  Yes I know it is exaggeration lol, but the game is very important for us, especially since this is how we met.

Sorry for the long post... Finally, the MAIN POINT & QUESTION:

I have to install a different motherboard like the Asus Rampage Black Edition IV: http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-rampageivblackedition in order to install two Titan GPU in SLI configuration?  If so, how this O_o...?  Also, I heard that there is a 'girl' Council that controls the Alien FX LED lighting and ventilation Active... How to connect to the new motherboard (if I need to get a new one)?  Also if I get the other motherboard (if this motherboard work with everything) this motherboard would have space for 4 x 2 TB RAID 1 + 0 and the 1 TB SSD SATAs?

    Please answer.  Thanks, ~ value

to install two Titan GPU in SLI configuration?

Don't know why you config-ed with two years 780 in SLI if you want two Titan-SLI but this guy did:

    http://en.community.Dell.com/Owners-Club/Alienware/f/3746/p/19512935/20402844.aspx#20402844

Personally, I'd keep just 780 - SLI, since the two configs end up being very similar to the performance. Either they're going run hot (in the game of max.).

    Hello

the GPU you prefer, I'm not a reson for why it's not compatible. Just check with power supply to your turn, if I'm not mistaken, the power supply to your turn would be 500W, if so you are good to go.

  • Want to 750-114: graphics card update

I had only my HP Envy 750 - 114, less than a week but discovered that the integrated graphics card does not well with my Poser 11 3d modeling software or the online games like Second Life. When I bought the computer, I was told that the graphics card was better than my old HP Envy H8-1534. The graphics were amazing with that. Maybe I'm doing something wrong, or something was not well defined, but I expected better graphics.  I hope I can improve my graphics even if it is integrated. I don't know what I should look or if I can. I'm not very teckie.

Overall, I love the computer and I'm happy with everything.

Any help is greatly appreciated and I thank you in advance

    ArcticFire-AK, welcome to the forum.

I checked the system requirements for the program and the game you mentioned.  It seems that your system should work well with both.  However, integrated graphic card and video isn't always good for the games.  It's more for daily tasks such as navigation.

You have "1 PCI Express x 16 (Gen 3.0)" slot for a video card.  I love EVGA cards.  Here's a map of willing to work pleasantly in your computer.  Read the reviews to see what users have to say about it.  The State of the plug she needs at least a 300W power supply unit (PSU) to function properly.  However, some members have reported that 400W would be better.  If you don't get this card, I recommend to try it with your PSU existing prior to the upgrade.  If necessary, I would buy one at least 600W and modular.  I love the Corsair PSU.

    MrGamer101, welcome to the forum.

Here's the model manufactured by EVGA.  Look in the 'Détails' tab for complete specifications.  It says that the card is 9 "long.    I suggest to make a model of the size of the map to see if she will enter the space with a good air circulation.  When playing or doing intensive video tasks much heat is developed.  It's a PCI Express 3.0 x 16 and the slot in the motherboard PCI Express 2.0 x 16.  The 3.0 is backward compatible.  If it can be properly inserted into the space, it should work without any problems.

  • HPE - 580 t NVIDIA GTX 750 Ti video card upgrade

I had a lot of problems with the AMD video card with my HP HPE - 580 t came.

I think spend my HPE - 580 t to a nVidia GTX750 Ti video card.  I note the GTX 750 Ti is built for the slots PCI-E 3.0 and I think my HPE - 580 t has only slots PCI-E 2.0.

This new graphics card works in my PC?

    Surfer995, welcome to the forum.

The GTX 750ti may not work on your computer.  It requires UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  If you wanted to buy an EVGA card, you can contact their Technical Support (1-888-881-3842) to see if they have a VBIOS update so that it can work with your motherboard.  This is your best option.  Your power supply (PSU) will be fine.

  • EVA GeForce GTX 750: Question on the compatibility of card and the card mother graphics

    Hello!

After this purchase pre-built Intel PC five or so years ago, it has graphic capeabilities are unfortunately insufficient for what I need. Long story short, I want to buy a new graphics card, but I don't know that the motherboard system takes care of everything. The card I currently have is a GT230 and I want to move to is the GeForce GTX 750 EVA and my motherboard is an MS-7613 (Iona-GL8E) with an i7-860 processor. I can update without burning my PC?

    Thank you!

Edit: rather than tell you about the PC, it would be easier to show you: http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c01969874

    Ranger_621, welcome to the forum.

750 GTX graphics cards require UEFI in the motherboard instead of a standard BIOS.  HP didn't start using UEFI until mid-October 2012.  Therefore, it would be incompatible with your computer.  The last series of video cards that does not need UEFI was 640 gt.

  • Inspiron 660, updated video card, EVGA GeForce GTX Superclocked 750

Hi, (A) I have a Dell Inspiron Intel Core i3-3240 3.4 GHZ 660. I was wondering if an EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Superclocked 1 GB GDDR5 would go with my CPU. I have a pretty computer savy guy who I am friends with who says that's fine but I wanted to check to make sure that this map is not my CPU bottleneck. In addition, my diet would be able to handle a map like this with it being only 300w?

    According to this:
    http://www.EVGA.com/products/product.aspx?PN=01G-P4-2753-KR

The 300w power supply should be sufficient.

  • 2GB GDDR EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti FTW? I can do better for $150?

I have a Geforce GTX 460 old but reliable. A beautiful card that has kept me during four years. But it didn't really hurt with the DSLR images and QT 1080 p high sampling rates. I don't like having to drop to 1/2 or even 1/4 resolution when editing so... Maybe I need a boost.

I hooked an EVGA NVIDIA GeForce GTX 580 3 GB for less than $95, but it arrived today via UPS in a box of crushed. Needless to say that UPS requires a refund to the seller.

So I looked at the 2 GB EVGA GeForce GTX 750 Ti FTW. $150 at Amazon. Looks like I might have a few good bang by puck and an improvement over my current GTX460 which is only 1 GB memory GDDR5 256 - Bit. It is not at rest and performs better than many maps of the time, but I know I can do better.

As a palliative for the next 6 to 8 months, what do you think of switching to the GTX 750 Ti FTW? There are already some time I researched maps and not sure, given the choice.

We got $150 new and I love this thing what we called a guarantee but I'm open to suggestions.

I have an ASUS Z97Pro Wifi USB3.1 mb, Intel Core i7 - 4790K Quad - Core 4 GHz cpu, and 16 GB of DDR3. Windows 7 pro 64 installed on a new Samsung 850 Pro SSD (boy is fast).

Huge case Phanteks Enthoo white Pro. Thanks in advance!

the gtx 580 would have been about 2 x faster than the gtx 460. the ti 750 gtx is somewhere between those of speed. If you want to buy a new one, are looking for a ti 750 gtx near $130 or gtx 960 around $200. the 960 gtx is still faster than the gtx 580. If you want to try to buy new used, try to find a gtx 570 or above for about $100.

    Best regards and thank you

    Hi Ken,

Watch high aon back of the graphics card for a switch.  See the image below.

You should have received a leaflet in the box describing the use of the switch (legacy mode or UEFI).  If your PC is a version 8 HP BIOS then disable secure boot if set. If your PC isn't at the level of the BIOS version 8 and then the switch must be in position inherited.  The brochure should describe the use of the switch.

  • HP ENVY 750-167c Desktop: I just bought this PC can support this new video card?

We just bought this PC http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04812516

We have installed a gtx 750 Ti and its drivers and it worked very well. After a few months, so we decided to move to a 970 gtx so we had a CX500 of Corsair power supply.

I installed the gtx 970 and plugged all the connectors of power required for the card as well.

Fans of 970's and the LED lights up, but there is no flow to the monitor.

So I move the cable from the monitor to the gtx 970 e / s for the video embedded on the motherboard (realization of the motherboard is not pass to the output of the card) and check the Device Manager.

Even, Device Manager does not detect the card.

I then reinstall the Ti 750 with its drivers and it works fine again. I have uninstall the 750 Ti and its drivers and try again with the 970 and nothing.

We bought the 970 off of ebay. The seller said that the card had been inspected and tested to work, but I can't make it work.

I don't know if I'm doing something wrong or if the card is dead on arrival. Help, please.

Someone asked me to update the bios of the motherboard, but I think that I already have the latest version of the bios for the motherboard of Odense. This motherboard is supposed to take on the gtx 970 or am I limited?

Make sure you have the latest version of the bios A0.12 ROM SSID 2 b 47. It is on the page of downloading software to your pc. If you do and it still does not work. Most likely, he is dead and you've scammed. After all, it's Ebay. There are tons of people.
